Her work is beautiful every piece! This one however is my personal favorite! It was supposed to be a te towel but I didnt want my (monsters) lovely children to dirty her artwork with the hands!

Shirley is my long-time friend -- so perhaps I am biased by her upbeat personality and through-and-through kindness. But I would love her work if I didnt know her because I too love insects and birds, and the New England landscapes and icons that she paints. I especially like the dragonfly Christmas tree, maybe because I know the story of how she got to study a live dragonfly... and the bridal lobsters -- her sense of humor is terrific. Maybe its cause shes always got great music on and is singing away with Louis Armstrong as she works. I like to use her blank cards for special occasions -- her array of images is so big, I can always find one just right for a sympathy card or a special birthday. Go Shirley! Thanks Abe for putting her on the map. She and Rolf deserve it.
