Super cool bartender Mike with some good boom boom shrimp. They gave us extra shrimp because they accidently made more instead of tossing them. Really nice staff overall and really decent prices. Three drinks and two apps for 30

Come here often for the amazing cocktails. Chis is a fantastic bartender, Makes great cocktails even if you ask for something different with what you like. Food is outstanding! Bar seating concept. Great for craft cocktails and to enjoy food. They also have trivia night, paint night, great music, so much more. Definitely recommend.

Best Happy Hour Ive been to in a long time. Chef Phamtoms food was amazing. I enjoyed to entire experience. Not too busy or crowded.

Got there near six, it wasnt packed at all. This place has a cool feel to it. My apartment is far from here, so I cant visit often.

We celebrated our 7th Anniversary here tonight and had a great time! Chris (the bartender) was very welcoming and attentive. He ensured our glasses were never empty and our plates remained full. The food was fresh, affordable, delicious and the portion sizes were good too.Ciaran Sontag was the featured musician. Wow! So personable and talented. Even dedicated a couple of songs to us and had us on our feet dancing throughout his set.After diner we checked out the adjacent dance club. There was a nice crowd and the beats were strong.I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to returning soon!Thank you for making our Anniversary so special

So, we went to have dinner at this establishment on a Thursday night (tonight) @ about 740. Now mind you, we werent going to the club, just wanted to have a nice dinner. We get in, and theres a person sitting at the door collecting a cover charge to come in to SIT AND EAT! She told us if we were taking our food to go, then it was okay, but to sit down we had to pay a $10 cover charge for both of us! Who does that! This was our first time going here, and it didnt say anything on the website about paying a cover charge on a Thursday night to eat! Guest list? Club? Happy hour? We didnt care anything about that, we just wanted some food. I must say this was very disappointing.

The atmosphere here is always laid back and comfortable. The dining and bar areas are kept nice and clean. The service is not always up to par unfortunately, but the quality of the food makes up for that. Element Bistro Bar and Lounge has a nice menu with reasonable prices. Take advantage of happy hour specials and their Groupon deals. Most of my experiences and meals here go well, so I would and do recommend friends aa well as strangers visit Jacksonville to check out Element Bistro Bar and Lounge.

I had an amazing night! Chris and Seth were my bartenders and they made sure I was completely taken care of. Definitely coming back and I fully recommend this bar to anyone looking for a nightclub downtown.

We came and ate here around 1am after the Rockville show. It’s a small restaurant and bar where u order your food and drink at the bar. No waiters. Standard American menu. Reasonable pricing and friendly staff. This bar and grill connects to a nightclub which is pretty cool. The food and service was good. I’d go back.

I truly want to give you all more but you have a terrible bartender. I’m not sure her nationality but she had fair skin and wears heavy makeup. She is extremely rude every time I come here. The other lady works 3x as hard fulfilling orders than her. She should go work at the beaches where avoiding eye contact and poor service is acceptable smh. There could be 5 people here and she’ll still act as if you’re bothering her. Done wasting my money with her

My husband and i came here and had an excellent meal and drinks. The server (i think Chris) was very nice and attentive and our food was great. Hes also a great bartender. I had the duck breast ans hubby had steak. Both were very flavorful although the portions of protein couldve been a bit larger. My duck breast and his steak were kinda tiny. The veggies were AMAZING also. The fingerling potatoes were sooo delicious. The cesear salad was awesome as well. I wish i wouldve asked what kind of moscato they were serving bc it was the best moscato Ive had lol. We brought our 2 children. A 6 month old and our 5 yr old had the bbq chix flatbread with fries. It was delicious and she gobbled it up. Although its more of a bar type of scene there were a couple of booths to accommodate us and it was totally fine having our children there. It was on a Sunday night when there was no live music so it was a pretty relaxed vibe that was comfortable for a family. We went bc of a really great groupon deal but i think my husband and i would go back without the groupon bc the prices were a little high but not outrageous. I was happy with our experience here not to mention VERY impressed with the very young chef whos back there throwing down n the kitchen. I tipped him personally and thanked him. Only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the tiny portions of duck and steak. Lol it was very small.

Went there to watch the last five minutes of the NBA semifinals on Sunday around 9:20(Rockville was happening a few blocks over so no one was around) they had a total of five people in the bar besides us and one of the waitstaff at the bar. They changed the tv from the NBA game to Game of Thrones (which the new episode had played earlier in the evening and could have been played later), we asked for it to be changed back to the NBA game and they responded with a, “My boss wants it on this show”. I’m a bartender, there’s no people in the bar, I wouldn’t run off the only two customers I have.. that’s no way to run a business. They need new bartenders, and staff. (Also looking from my balcony and there is STILL no one there, and they should be catering to their locals)

Loved this place. The food was really great, prices were so reasonable! (In fact we had a GC that the fine print said we had to spend $50 to get $50 and we really struggled to get our bill that high). But the highlight was our server! Matt was so friendly, funny and had great customer service. Hard to find these days. Live music on the friday we were here, loud for a date night but a super fun place.

Ambiance is lacking. Feels more like a bar than a bistro. The food was delicious and the bar tender was skilled.

Not only were the team memebers I spoke to on the phone and through email incredibly rude. A manager implied a threat to me if I did not take down my other reviews.. Now they have disappeared completely.. AND when I checked my debt card two days after visiting the element bistro club they had ran me $57 dollars for 4 drinks that were $6 dollars each.. Never have a bad this problem before when starting a tab somewhere else. Whether it was the incompetence of the staff or the owner trying to pull a fast one on customers he believes he can get away with I will not stand for these absolutely despicable actions. It doesn’t just stop there either on each post with lower star rating the owner does not apologize but instead makes excuses and belittles the bad experiences other customers have had. This will not be the last time element bistro hears from me. Reporting the this fraudulent activity is just my first step. If I could give zero stars I would too bad the lowest is only a one.

My wifes drinks were delicious. She ordered Amarillo sours and a long island iced tea. The Amarillo sours were about $6, but the long island iced tea was $10. Myth and Element Bistro Bar are connected.... Myth is actually in the bistro bars alley. The atmosphere in Myth, the back of the bistro bar, and the front are all very different.

Uber eats dropped me my food I open box to see instead of chicken wings a few small round chicken nugget like waffers. Not at all what was described and pictured on menu. I want a refund. This is so depressing ruined my night. I’m starving because they were nasty and “mystery meat “ couldn’t eat. And I’m out of 30 bucks

Limited menu due to water main break affecting entire JAX downtown - BUT menu and beer was awesome! Had shrimp appetizer... excellent, and buffalo chicken flatbread ... yummy. I-10 IPA from Intuition on draft.. perfect! I will be back to give them a “5” when normal ops are resumed in the downtown. Friendly bartender :)

This place has great food, 2 flat screens and a big screen projector. A small stage for live music and big windows looking out to the street. You can sit at the bar, a table or outside if you smoke.Grab and bite, watch a game and then head over to Myth Nightclub next door.

Awful. Ive honestly never had such terrible overpriced food. Stay away! The shredded cheese on the Nachos supreme wasnt even melted. $15 steak paninis with no sides ended up being a small rubbery piece of meat smashed between white bread and cheese, the flavor was undesirable and not what I was expecting. Not to mention a large portion of the menu items are now scratched out with sharpie... This place charges way too much for what they claim to be Bistro quality food. Id rather have street food!

Great food, great drinks, friendly and knowledgeable staff, etc. Was a bit expensive, but good overall value. When it is not a club night, it is a great little place that is fun to visit. Has live music at times. Pre-warning it is next to a club and the noise late at night can be/get annoying.

Yikes.I love that we are bringing more businesses into downtown, but this one leaves much to be desired.I have been to both the bistro/bar side and the nightclub on two separate occasions and was thoroughly unimpressed.Both spaces are far too cramped to serve their purposes. What kind of serious bistro has only two tables?The food was quite honestly something that I could have prepared in the dining halls at college. The paninis were sadly squished on pieces of white bread and severely lacking in filling - we tried the steak and the Cuban. We tried the Cali wrap as well, which was overdressed but good.For appetizers we had the tuna tartare (strongly do not recommend, very lacking in flavor) and the BLT sliders - the only thing I would order again.Cocktails were good, I would recommend those. Decent selection of local beers.We were served by a very nice young lady who was helpful to us, but also totally left in the dark by her kitchen staff.In summary - save your money and go elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I purchased a Groupon and attempted to use it twice. About a month ago, my wife and drove downtown to eat there. We tried to go in and were stopped at the door and told it is tatoo night and we needed to pay $10 each to enter. Uh, no way! We just said we would come back another night.We drove back Thursday, May 24, 2018 and were met at the door by the cook who said, We arent serving anyone because I had a death in the family. (I sympathized, but thats no reason to close a restaurant, and why were you at the restaurant if there were a death in the family?) This next part is the worst:She then said, We are having an Urban Group of African Americans come in 30 minutes and are unable to serve you. (My wife and I are not African American). This restaurant needs to be shut down immediately for racial profiling and discrimination!Do NOT go to this restaurant!edite: I had an email dialogue with the owner Jon Mroz who said I had childish behavior and then finally blocked me from emailing him. This is no way for the owner to treat customers, even if the customer is upset at poor customer service. He should accept responsibility and make necessary changes to improve his business.

I took my mother in law there for her birthday and was greatly dissapointed. I ordered the 24$ medium rare steak and shrimp(which were cooked like rubber) and got steak that was like shoe leather. I showed the waitress and she even made a face to validate the steak looked dry as a bone and took my plate to show the chef but said nothing when she returned. I asked her what the chef said..hell check the temp on the grill. That was it, no Im sorry about that, can I get you something else and zero adjustment on the bill. The other items on my plate were cold. The seasonal vegatables had some tasteless greasy juice juice poured over the top. Very dissapointed as the first time we went the food was great. Horrible service and unfriendly workers didntt make the birthday dinner much fun at all.

After just coming back from Elements soft opening, I am proud to say that this place is great. There are a few problems, but I think thosell be fixed once the GRAND OPENING takes place, and the cooks are accustomed to the menu.

Showed up at 4:30pm only to be told the restaurant doesnt open til 6pm. Maybe you should take some time to update yelp or google or any other social media platform.
