Great place to take a family walk! However, leave your dog at home! We took our dog (early November) and we removed at least 10 ticks from him after the walk.
Great place and staff for additional information about the park and surrounding area. Not real hard to find. Several nice attractions near by including hiking, nature observation, lookout area, exploration, etc. Plenty of parking.
The nature trailer here I fantastic! A few hills to deal with which is a nice change from most of the parks in FL, but nothing too challenging. The shop and museum are a great stop and there is lots of information available inside.
So much great information! We took a field trip with our Florida Master Naturalist Chapter. We were able to learn unknown facts about Ft. Caroline and the Timucuan.
What a great place to visit and learn about Floridas real history!!.............
Love looking at the river from the fort.
Follow the footsteps of a greater cause
Great staff. Very knowledgeable about the area and the people who lived here. Great, well groomed trails and nice monuments. It was a fun place to learn about Jacksonvilles history.
The best history
Nice quiet spot to learn some history, go for a hike or a nice picnic. Take time to read the signs as the fort itself is not real since historians are unsure of exact location.
We took Flat Stanley here. Great info for everyone
A good place to visit. Full of history and a nice short handicap accessible trail to get to the fort.
Pretty cool if you like history. Small park with a Fort(not the original one).
Beautiful place to walk. Nice rangers
Nice, location is by river and historic fort is relatively small with pretty scenery.
A lot of bugs, but overall a great experience. Friendly staff.
Nice place to hike or go for a run.
Educational stations that explains history of fort Caroline
Nice spot to go to and walk
Awesome experience
This is one of my familys favorite parks!
