Awesome. Easy, yet safely entered the ballpark. The movie was one of my favorites but acoustics were lacking a little. As usual, some of the best fireworks in town. Always enjoy them.Overall, a GREAT family night out.
Great time at the season opener. A lot of people showed up for the first game. Brought my family which included 3 small children, they had a blast. The fireworks at the end were way better than I expected. There were a few intoxicated fans but everyone was just out having a good time at the ball game. (Military and veterans get $5 tickets!)
My family enjoyed movie night. The rain almost stopped them, but Noel & Peter made sure they all had a great time. Thanks guys they cant stop talking about it..... You guys have big ️s they cant wait to bring their other sisters & brothers
Great Ball Park! Family oriented I moved from Miami and was a fan from when the first year the Fins played at Joe Robbie. I have to admit, I like the Jax experience much better. Makes it affordable to bring tbe family and get my young kids interested in the game and to follow the home team. Go shrimp
As always, we enjoyed watching the Shrimp vs. the Biscuit in their series last week. The improvements recently made with the re-branding from Suns to the Jumbo Shrimp are very nice in my opinion! The food was decent, but could be better, however you cant go wrong with a hot dog or corn dog. Since we are always looking for dog friendly events, we enjoy the Bark n the Park nights where you can bring your dog to the game.
Went for a social distanced movie event. Well planned and orchestrated!
Movie night is a great way to enjoy the grounds
Had an amazing time playing bingo for jumbo shrimp swag!!!
Great social distance family movie night.
The fireworks are fantastic! Looking forward to some baseball next year!
Good family fun. Great view from any seat. Best section 110. We have an awesome usher Phil. She knows how to treat people, especially the senior citizens. Also, our representative Teresa is pretty awesome.Best place to spend an evening with family.
It a field were baseball happens its good its clean and not much you can expect from a baseball stadium
I love the shrimp games. last night we went with my work and it was so much fun! I love the games that are played in between innings. the games are family friendly and any age is sure to enjoy the entertainment!
We had a blast! The tiki hut is a great area to sit and have some drinks and let the kiddos run around in the grass! The kid zone was a lot of fun as well!
Drinks was expensive but I love the atmosphere its great for a date
It was a nice family outing.
Had a lot of fun here. We went with a work group and all had a blast!
Truly one of the best entertainment deals in Jacksonville. They may not have household named players, but they all play hard and play well. The tickets are very reasonably priced, and you can usually get good seats last minute. They have some pretty good mid-inning entertainment. The food and drinks are pricey, but not nearly as pricey as other sports venues.
Love the Shrimp games. Friday night family fireworks are a good family time. Look for Napa Auto care centers for free general admission tickets. I get mine from Wilsons repair on St. Augustine Rd. Good family fun on the cheap.
I cant wait until baseball season starts. Im going to make it out to watch them alot this year.
In the past have never had a problem at a Jacksonville AA baseball game. Tonight’s opener was horrific. I am a Marine Corps Veteran with my family along with many other families with children. The behavior in our section 115 by people was horrific and extremely disrespectful. Constant cursing and drunken behavior was the norm. There was an elderly couple receiving verbal abuse by drunk people in front and to the side of them. When the older gentlemen’s spouse was being picked on and verbally berated by a drunken fan the older gentleman kindly asked him to stop but the drunken fans continued. My spouse then asked the drunken people to please stop and the tirade continued. I went to an usher at the top of row 115. I was extremely disappointed because he did not empathize or seem interested in helping diffuse the drunk and disorderly situation, he didn’t seem to want to listen to what I was trying to say and he refused to do anything and tried to act as if I was causing the problem. As a Veteran I know the difference between right and wrong, and if trying to help an elderly innocent couple and deter drunk people from verbally berating families and others is wrong then I seriously doubt I or anyone would want to take their family or friends to what is supposed to be a friendly environment. It’s sad that type of behavior is tolerated by the Organization. Definitely would not recommend or come back EVER....
Local professional Baseball. Jacksonville Florida. Great fun for all ages...
I love going to the Jumbo Shrimp games!! The Tiki hut in left field is really fun and the game is a great place for families and friends to spend some time together.
I love the nostalgic look of the Baseball Grounds and have grown to like the kooky name of the team that plays here.
Always a great time
Great park and good times. Love the prices. Always a fun time.
Its great place for family fun or date night. Its a great time.
Always great family fun and on a budget!. Kids zone could use some work behind the center field fence, but overall its a great outing. $5 for parking can be found behind the stadium and a short walk in. $10 parking for near the entrance of the parking garage. The fireworks really is worth it all on a Friday night. My one child is 5 and he will sit through most all the game with some snacks and drinks.
The Jumbo Shrimp formaley the Jacksonville Suns is a fun time. Its a great experience for children, they are always running promotions on game nights. The alcohol is pretty expensive, and so is the food but thats expected at a sporting event.
Ive never had a bad Time here
1st MILB game. Missed the free shirt giveaway but it was a good game and nice experience.
Love baseball season. Jumbo shrimp (while Ill always be a Suns fan) is a good team and a great atmosphere. Awesome for families every night and college kids on thirsty Thursdays. Great gear shop and awesome seats for a decent price.
So many wonderful things about spending an evening with the Jumbo Shrimp! One thing not good is food vendor Southern Fried Freebird. Even though you can buy a $2 hotdog a hundred feet away, they charge $4. Ok, their right, but when it is burned and you return it and they begrudgingly hand you another burned one and then when you return that one they call over another employee to look at it (as if I may be wrong about it being burned!) and you finally say, You can keep my $4 and walk away because dealing with these folks is blowing my happy Friday baseball good vibes. Seriously, every interaction with the folks behind the counter was unfriendly to say the least.
Terrific day/ night out with the kiddos. Priced reasonably, lots of entertainment and the game is fast enough now to keep everyone engaged
This was a decent place to see a ball game. The team was not that good, but the experience was enjoyable. I can only identify only issue that anyone may have. That issue is that as long as the game is played in sunlight it is very, very hot. There is not much shade in most seating, and as a result, can make for a draining experience. The staff was great, and concessions were reasonable. That, however, did not make up for the heat!
Great family experience at a reasonable cost
Pretty much the same as when it was the Jacksonville Suns. Nice park, identical to the Texas Ranger stadium but on a smaller scale. Not really a bad seat in the stadium - I like the first baseline. Food is decent; theres a $2 hot dog thats your best bet if you want to spend money on sweet stuff more than savory. Brat is good, but the bun is sub-par.
Nothing like a afternoon at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. While it is not the same since the Bragens sold the club it still is a wonderful experience. They have new food selections while are very tasty. As well as the old stand bye. Hotdogs sausage and bratwurst. Give them a try. There something for everyone as the Home of the Jacksonville Shrimp.
RENAME THE TEAM SUNS
Always a great time at a baseball game
These baseball grounds are beautiful and unique. The stands face a way such that its unlikely that you will be facing the sun during common game times. The concessions are well stocked and staffed and prices are actually reasonable. We always have a great time watching the Jumbo Shrimp.
The baseball games are a lot of fun!!
Best minor league park
Fun home opener, eventhough Im sad the shrimp didnt have the bats working yet.
Amazing ballpark and atmosphere. And whats better than a baseball team named the Jumbo Shrimp!?
Grounds can be a little dirty at times but overall a great place to go. Boxes and service offered therein are pretty great and reasonably priced. Just wish we were winning more... And what up with pink and fuzzy Scampi?!
I GO AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH ITS GREAT BASEBALL FOR A GREAT PRICE FIREWORKS FRI & SAT AND OTHER THEMES AND EVENTS FOR WHEN THEY HAVE GAMES PLAYED THROUGH OTHER DAYS OF THE WEEK GO SHRIMP.
Enjoyable family experience.
Home team lost but still a good time!
Was much better before they removed the childrens playground area . Half way through the games my son would get so fidgety that Id take him to the playground and sit a the nearby picnic tables and watch the game while he played as many other parents did. Now you have to pay extra to bake your child in a blistering bounce house that your view to the field is blocked from. Not good for parents with smaller children, and here I thought the aim goal of MILB was family entertainment.
Always fun!!! Fairgrounds are clean, staff is friendly.
Tickets are cheap and the entertainment is well, entertaining. They have great theme nights, a kids play area and lots of food options. Fun thing to do downtown!
It was a really fun time. There were more people there then at any Suns game I went to. The ticket price was very reasonable.
Great shimp
For a minor league ball park, this place is great. Not a bad seat anywhere. Grassy area for picnics and playground for the kids. Standard ball park food at a good price.
Family friendly fun
Great family fun... Or date!
Great time at the game!! Everyone was nice and helpful!!! Would definitely recommend this stadium.
Good times at the ballpark with cold beer and hotdog.
Great place to relax and enjoy the game
A great park with easy access. Easy to find parking at a fair price. Good prices on beer and food!
Really nice ballpark and super affordable. Three tickets, some beers, and food for about $55-$65. Great value.
Despite the rain delay the game was a lot of fun and the fireworks show was amazing!!! I felt like I was watching a professional fireworks show on the 4th of July and it went on so long!
Nice stadium, good team. I will go to see more games, but never again on a Thursday night. Dollar beer night brought out every knucklehead frat boy within fifty miles. Very disappointing.
This is a really nice facility for a minor league ball park. Some of the features (food options, jumbotron, instant replay) were things Id only expect to see in AAA ball. Prices for admission were not bad at all (but parking was higher than Ive paid in other cities). Id go again.
Looking forward to a game...if I can find the $5.00 tickets!
The food was so good. Many different stands with different menus. Even a couple of beer bars. Nice time.
Kids love fireworks Friday
Always a great time. Thirsty Thurdays are the best time to go
Great place to see a ball game! My kids and their friends enjoyed the Kids Zone. Concession prices are very reasonable.
The baseball grounds are fantastic. The experience is awesome. The prices are fair. Everyone should try to attend a game soon.
Took my 2 kids on July 7 2015 to their 1st professional baseball game. The staff was very friendly and the Suns beat the Lookouts 5-4. Both kids had a good time but my 9 year old daughter showed interest in a sport she had never cared for before. We sat in the GA section near the Suns bullpen on the 3rd base side. The kids had to pay attention to the game because you never know when a foul ball would come flying in our direction. An older man in our section got a foul ball and gave it to my 5 year old son. After the game my daughter stood outside the dugout trying to get the ball signed. She is very shy and was getting passed by the more aggressive kids. Juancito Martinez was the Suns relief pitcher that earned the save that night. He stayed and signed autographs until the last kid left which happened to be my daughter. That was the icing on the cake on what had already been a fun night.
Great atmosphere for baseball. Support the local team
Everything you needed, super seats and great food!!!!
Any day with baseball is a great day. Affordable family fun.
The best minor league ballpark Ive been to.
Had fun. Its where so many folks go
Great family fun and not crowded.
Awesome park. Great views. Can find cheap tickets. Food is pretty reasonable.
Great time, affordable prices.
Nice stadium. Nice people. Prices from mid to expensive. Food is from god awful to ok.
They changed a good this...smh
Great day
Awsome family place
Great prices on tickets and happy hour beers. Some of the service could be a little better but the stadium is wonderful.
Super fun night. Good for both family nights and friends.
Great atmosphere, left field tiki bar, kids playground, corn hole, adirondack seating area along center field fence. $5 GA, berm seating. The field ia also a block away from Intuition Ale Works which is a great place to pregame and hang wit before the game.
Great time at the ol ballpark, everytime.
This is a family friendly place to watch baseball and occasionally family movie Nights and beautiful firework displays
Great stadium thats usually never full giving you room to move around. Check out the upper deck for great views.
