Honestly, the best place ever. Great coffee, prices you couldn’t beat if you tried, the best and the most friendly staff. The owner is wonderful, always happy and kind and takes his time to talk to and get to know the customers- truly an absolute pleasure to be around. They offer a personal touch that you simply can’t find anywhere else. I’ve been coming here for years and I have never ever had anything short of an amazing experience.-Wide range of coffee blends-Beer and wine-Food and deserts
Very nice cafe. I only have one idea for the owners ... to have the decor inside changed a bit. For beautiful paintings that are complex will need light shades, light furniture and blinds or light curtains. It will turn out great;) Caribbean-bohemian style ... boho. Also outside - tables and chairs in light and new paint on the walls and beauty :)
I visited from out-of-state tonight. It was my first time visiting this coffee house. The old guy making the drinks was extremely grumpy. The cafe is run down and standards are surprising low for this establishment to have the number of stars given by others. The drink I got(chai tea latte) was basic-not flavorful. Also people were smoking at the tables outside. Nobody wants to inhale your secondhand, toxic cigarette smoke.
Great ambiance, pleasant staff, best coffee in town. Very relaxed atmosphere. Where the locals meet.
Nothing to complain about. the service was very welcoming and sociable. prices were average for the menu.
Nice spot with outdoor seating at spaced out tables with outdoor music. Delicious coffees and baked goods. A little fountain near the coffee shop is also an option to enjoy. Diverse customer base makes it an interesting spot.
Certainly worth going back to. The bill was fair. Like a restaurant in Washington I loved.
Great place. But theres one thing in a coffee shop that made me give this 1 star. They never open on time anymore so Goodluck getting coffee in the actual morning time.
Absolutely amazing! Great prices, great service, great products!
Love this place. Affordable and tasty coffee, espresso, and teas.
Better than Starbucks on all counts service selection atmosphere prices location
Best little piece of Europe in Jacksonville! Try their Irish cream chai latte. Its to die for
Love this place! Great coffees teas, deserts and sandwiches. Cool atmosphere to hang out with the friends, prices are very reasonable. Lastly cant say enough about the staff....they are always at the top of there game and will do everything in there power to see you enjoy your experience here!! A MUST SEE!!!
Great prices, good coffee and outstanding service.
Great coffee shop with great people and the young lady Ikuko is cute as a button!
This establishment here many years! Come on Saturday for fav of cappuccino she makes the Best. Tiramisu very rich
Great hospitality. the place has an awesome feel to it.
For the Health and Safety of everyone, Please wear a mask when serving your delicious coffee.
I love this place, keep up the good service!! The coffee grinder is my first stop whenever I go Jacksonville, the cozy location and friendly staff. The coffee here is the best in town
Would NOT recommend to come to Coffee Grinder more than one time: the Owner likes to gossip and talk bad about the clients, which I find very unprofessional. The owner also can be rude as soon as he gets familiar with a person, he makes dirty jokes, etc.
It was amazing. Both the coffee, atmosphere and pricing
GO HERE! Nice and quiet place to meet friends or study. The prices are so affordable and they make a great cup of coffee. Comfortable seating and lots of plugs, too!!
The service here is above par.
Everytime I visit Jax I stop by here and buy coffee beans! Such a cozy, and quaint spot
Such a cute little place! Open nice and late all days of the week, its my go-to as someone that isnt fond of clubbing. The music, the vibe, the people. Its all so friendly and cozy. Its been busy every night Ive come, and it has good reason! I normally drink coffee with a lot of sugar, but I take these cappuccinos and mochas as is; the milk is enough. Also the Tiramisu! Oh goodness its so good. Along with the other sweets. A lovely hang out for most hours. I like to come down and relax and do needlework.
I went to the Coffee Grinder because of its stellar reviews and I needed a place to study. I didnt expect much from a hole-in-the-wall but wow I was wrong. The service was pleasant, the music was catchy and the drinks were affordable. The coffee is served in real mugs which is a nice touch. I will definitely be back
Really cute place. Amazing prices! Coffee is great too. I had the tiramisu and tres leches cake that were bomb. Will definitely go back.
The service here is great.
Im lactose intolerant and they have a pretty good selection of alternatives for making specialty coffee drinks. They also happen to have a few European candies that are good, like Kinder. Now, if they could just carry Pocket Coffee, Id be hooked for life.
Great coffee. Great service
Great atmosphere! The barista could gas we been a little more friendly, but its all good. Had a DJ outside, not too loud, just right to have conversations. :) Definitely will be going back.
Great tiramisu. Super cute, cozy, independent coffee shop. Jax needs more places like this.
I have one thing to say. Tiramisu!
Great coffee and surroundings.
Very original and unique. Nice atmosphere and great beverage selection.
Great spot with chill vibes. I’m no coffee expert, I just like to come here to study, have a cup of coffee and relax. The couches are the best part, super comfy.
Five stars for being open on Thanksgiving after Turkey we had to have good coffee. The grinder was open and took good care of us.
Great place to sit with friends and just hang out like on friends lol
The italian esspreso is wonderful. The only place I could find that coffee
Best coffee shop ever
Nice place
One of the best coffee shops Ive been to. Coffee is consistently good....the tiramisu is lovely...the employees are very friendly. The owner is an awesome guy. He takes the time to talk to customers, and makes u feel like family. And, he usually gives my 5yr old daughter a free treat. Nice place to hang out. And, one of the few places in the whole city, that isnt a bar or club, that is open late.
Been in there since 05 and still very unique compared to other café out there in jax. would recommend
First visit, tried the americano and frozen white choc freeze. Both very good. Need more than 1 staff worker on busy Sunday though! Very nice vibes inside the store could use a clean up, on the ceiling above the counter.
I was pleasantly surprised upon walking in how authentic the vibes were. The service was so friendly, the coffee full bodied and flavorful. However the cheese danish is what truly inspired me to write this review, it’s perfectly sweet, buttery and flaky. Best I’ve ever had. Definitely will be coming back
Had a great experience at the Coffee Grinder. Its a quaint coffee shop with a very relaxing environment and a great place to grab a coffee. What I really liked about it was the atmosphere. They had indoor and outdoor seating, chairs, tables, couches and was very cozy. Plus if you get hungry they have a nice selection of cakes and sandwiches for a quick bite to eat. Definitely suggest recommend stopping by.
Best coffee prices around with the best staff serving it up! Great little place to sit and take a load off or do some homework. Im surprised its not more of a popular spot with the college kids across the street. Friendly staff and great coffee.
Nice decor. Mostly friendly service. Love that it’s local and they roast their own. The coffee seems like just a regular black cuppa coffee to me.
This is a great place if youre looking for coffee that isnt Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts (dont get me wrong, I drink those occasionally too but if I lived closer to The Coffee Grinder, would never). Its has a nice atmosphere & good vibes. Smells wonderful (if you live the smell of coffee, and I do). I will definitely be back & next time want to try a pastry with my beverage. The service was great & theres coffee, tea, & wine & more (with music). Hot coffee was served in a real coffee mug, which adds a nice touch. Definitely recommended.
I love the small town, European atmospgere of this place. I study and hang out here. The prices are reasonable. The drinks and deserts are phenomenal. You really cant go wrong with a great late night/day time hang out spot like this one. The same people work there to make magic with your drinks.
Did not feel comfortable here. Just not a nice atmosphere and not visually pleasing. Probably wont come again.
I really loved the Focaccia Turkey Swiss Cheese Sandwich and I cooked scrambled eggs to have on the side....
The service was brilliant. The coffee was horrifying. Insanely hot, resteamed (not fresh) milk and a burnt shot
Best coffee shop in town, plenty of space so its relatively quiet even when its busy. But the coffee is why its the best. I drive 20 minutes out of my way to go here when I have work to do just because the coffee. Theres 3 Starbucks closer to me. If you like coffee, you have to try this place. Highly recommend
Only European style coffee shop in Jacksonville (late hours, covered sidewalk seating, good available, beer and wine, techno music, etc.). Prices havent been changed in a decade so amazingly affordable.
Love this place. Best cafe in town.
Phenomenal coffee, great service. Super cool atmosphere, we cannot wait to go back. This is the best local coffee. Bold Bean who? The coffee grinder all day every day!
I had a great time hanging out with my husband. We had awesome customer service! Are server was very kind and very knowledgeable when it came to coffee and even talked us into getting 2 pieces of chocolate cake which was very delicious. The restaurant was very clean everything seem to be in order and we had a great time hanging out at the coffee shop and plan on doing it again.
Great place for both coffee and wine! I highly recommend it!
Lovely, Puerto Rican coffee!
Great Place
Prices and atmosphere are good for me!
Awesome coffer shop...relax and clean.
A very nice location with excellent coffee. They have some nice desserts as well. Excellent service. Great place to take a moment.
As you might imagine they have an excellent selection of hot and cold coffees available.International flavors like espresso. Wi Fi works great and most interesting. Art adorns the walls.
Amazingly priced. At the initial look there doesn’t look like much options on the menu, but if you talk to the barista there’s actually a lot they can make for you. You can definitely tell locals hang out here. Cool to see a coffee shop that isn’t “trendy” but really good.
Good service, poor Breve. Breve lacked the micro froth I excpected. Coffee for espresso drinks are blends. They do however offer single origin coffees. There Costa Rician was good. Offered by weight for home consumption or as a coffee of the day . Roasting is not done on premises. All coffee seem to be dark roast.
Delicious cappuccino, the Danish was delicious
I visit here frequently for coffee with friends. The mocha is my favorite. Nice ambience on the weekends, open late, usually a DJ playing house outside.
This location is amazing. I say that because Im able to relax and get creative with my work and studies. The food is good and staff is amazing at this location.
Awesome coffee. Hoping they will eventually transition to paper cups instead of continuing to use styrofoam, plastic cups and plastic straws.
Great energy and fabulous service. Delicious coffee. Comfortable environment. I absolutely LOVE it!
Went in for the first time today before class. I had a vanilla latte and a piece of chocolate cheesecake. Both my cheesecake and my latte were delicious with the friendliest service. I will be back!
Coffee Grinder is an amazing coffee spot, nestled in the corner of a busy shopping center on one of the busiest roads in Jacksonville. I used to be a loyal customer to Starbucks coffee with their overwhelming menu, almost robot like customer service and tendency to forget a shot or two of espresso in my drinks. Until, I stumbled upon Coffee Grinder with a co-worker. My first visit I walked in and was greeted by a very authentic European atmosphere from the awesome Barista to the DJ selected soundtrack and the pictures on the wall. The coffee here is extremely rich and strong and the desserts are most excellent. There is outside and inside seating and its open until 1 a.m.! what more can you ask for. Highly recommended!
Best coffe ever. Ran by a wonderful family. Stop here now. Seriously top five coffee places Ive ever been to in the United States
Great coffee my go to place when I need a treat and some caffeine.
Honestly that Americano was very very good. Appreciated the music too
Very cozy, laid back European atmosphere, great always friendly service, awesome cakes and coffee!
Hostess was great. Coffee too. I personally like the Cuban work my coffee.
Great place and great coffee. My first time visiting this morning and I just have looked lost, because the barista explained their menu and was very helpful. I got my coffee to go, but the atmosphere looks amazing and relaxing. I’ll have to order in next time.
Excellent coffee shop - we really enjoyed the coffee and service.
Great coffee. Great atmosphere. My wife and I fell in love with this place. I guess we are saying good bye to starbucks!
The barista never fails to recognize me, very welcoming, and freely offers suggestions. Provides quick, accurate service. I always look forward to coming back.
Very good coffee. Very pleasant atmosphere the lady at the counter was exceptionally nice.
Great little place with really good coffee and Italian sodas.
American coffee was really good but Mocha frappuccino was ok needs more icy chunks than liquid
This is a wonderful place with a warm atmosphere and amazing coffee.
Super authentic, down to earth. Friendly staff. Great coffee. Chill atmosphere. Helpful locals, few tourists. I wish I had one in my neighborhood. Seriously.
Went with a friend, who is a regular there. We had a couple of drinks. Mine was Chai and I enjoyed it. The place has a comfortable home feel to it nice and quiet. The owner of the is who I believe, is the barista. Service is friendly and kind. Prices are not an overkill. Will go back again.
One of my favorite coffeee shops. Amazing prices and a great selection. Knowledge and friendly staff. Good coffee and espresso. Good desserts, wish they had more homemade.
Hidden gem of Jacksonville. Coffee at an amazing price and a great environment to read or get work done.
