Our family was given a gift card to Caribbean Cove a couple years ago. Shortly after they went under construction and have been ever since. We called nearly a year ago to hear they would be re-opening soon and could redeem our gift card then. Its months later and we are hearing the same timeline for this Spring. Upon asking for cash back they hung up on us. Wow. What a shame—my family did enjoy going there and kids loved the experience. Unfortunately Caribbean Cove will not ever see us again, ever. I hope other families can read this and be spared from A. going there and B. buying a gift card for someone else to go there. It isnt worth the mistreatment.

I have stayed 3 times, and of those times, it is essentially devoid of patrons. Refrigerators would be a plus and access to a microwave is a must. Desk clerks seem lifeless, but will come alive if a question is posed. Locale is excellent. The restaurant, Tilted Kilt, leaves much to be desired. Room price is great for frequent business travelers.

We went to the hotel & water park 10 years ago and found it really nice. Just went today & wow, has it gone down hill. Maintenance, maintenance & more maintenance is what this place needs. What once was a well-oiled machine is now rusty & dusty. Trash cans overflowing. Only 1 person working 3 water slides. Many valves & pieces of the kids area capped off or not working. Lots of rust on poles, beams & stairs to the water slides. All kinds of things wrong with bathrooms. Sad really, because the are plenty of customers generating revenue for them but they are NOT reinvesting in the facilities. This place will be shut down within a year, I predict, unless they make some major repairs.

I give this place absolutely NO STARS!!! Im planning my family reunion this year and have been trying to get in contact with their sales department for over a week! Whenever you call it takes literally FOREVER to pick up the phone and then when I was able to finally get in contact with someone the sales rep name Brandi Tate told me to email her my request information and she will draft up a contract. NONE of that has happened!!! There is no professionalism at this location and I am the one trying to bring them business.

We recently had some free passes to the water park and the review only applies to the water park area as we didnt stay in the rooms or try out the food. For a family there is definitely plenty of things to do to have fun: slides, lazy river, hot tub and water basketball. The kids area with the pirate ship was a little chilly, but kids dont really mind. All of the other pools were really too warm to enjoy too much. The slides are FAST and a lot of fun, but you cant take you kid down because you can only go one person at a time. The normal ticket price of $15 / person is a little too high in my opinion. The cleanliness is definitely in need of some attention, however you dont experience too much of that for just the water park.

So I am not usually a complainer but I am a little upset with how I have been treated. First off I call to make a reservation and the 1st lady cant help me because I have a saver voucher so she says. So she tells me her supervisor is in a meeting and she will call me back as soon as she gets out. Never got a call so I call back Saturday and of course still cant make the reservation because there is no supervisor there to help me. So I call the following Monday and the gentleman tells me that he cant make my reservation and someone will have to call me back to make it. I proceed to tell him what they said already, he puts me on hold and comes back on and it mysteriously aloud to make my reservation. Gave me a confirmation # and everything, So here it is Thursday before we go on Monday and they call me and tell me the water park is CLOSED THROUGH THE MONTH OF APRIL EXCEPT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Which the voucher I have is only good for Sunday- Thursday. GO FIGURE! I am a little frustrated! Why couldnt some one had told me this before!?!?!?!? Hopefully no one else has this problem because I told them they might want to work on their customer service.

Impression: Lobby is nice. Rooms are standard... hotel was previously a Holiday Inn, so align your expectations with that... before Holiday Inn went and re-imaged themselves as a better stay.Pros: Indoor water park is great for kids and open all year round. Lots of activities and things to do at the park.Cons: Room smelled like smoke, water park area periodically had weird smells. Rooms felt dirty in my opinion, but I am particular. Water left me feeling weird and smelling weird. I had to shower before I ventured ANYWHERE.Conclusion: If you are on a budget and want to take your kids to a water park in the middle of winter, this is a possibility. If not, I would spring for Wolf Creek Lodge in Cincinnati or Lincoln Lodge in Brown County, IN. I do not plan to return here. I felt a bit dirty afterwards.Great for: families with small kids that want an indoor water park in the middle of winter and dont want to travel 2 hours for a nicer location

The people writing good reviews for this place either work at or own the dump. This place was horrible!!! Never even made it into our room and that’s because another guest was already in it. Then while standing in line again to get another room, we found out that the water park was going to be closed the following day. (Closed 3-23-2015) Closed the first day of spring break? The website says water park open year around. The response the crowd got was its not our spring break. We asked for a full refund and stayed down the road (toward Indy) and across the street. We still haven’t received our refund of $187.

Water Park is only open on weekends until April but this is my fault for not checking before I booked room. Nice pool and Spa. Now for the bad. Room was off the pool but the sliding glass door lock was broken. They had installed a makeshift lock that was attached to the wall and all the screws were very loose. Bathroom was not that great, one small bar of soap for the sink, none for the bath and no shampoo at all. Toilet paper holder was missing. Look as if they are cutting corners to make a profit. Vending machine and arcade games did not work. I took my grand children for a mini spring break. Will not stay there again.

Kids loved the pools. Most pools were a bit chilly but tolerable. The toddler-friendly pool was too cold to play in but we did anyway. Breakfast buffet at the on-site restaurant was included and was ok. Hotel room was adequate, nicer than I expected and clean. During the week it was great but once the weekend hit it was overrun with kids. LOTS of kids. And the not-so-hot Hot tub was full of kids. It was not hot enough to make you sweat which defeats the purpose. Overall it was worth it cause I spent lots of time playing in the pools with my kids.

Called to find out when they expect to be done with the renovations on the waterpark. The lady at the front desk stated that it is closed. I asked her how does one plan to attend their facilities, she stated to keep calling back. Nope, taking my business elsewhere.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. My family and I were there 2 weeks ago. We did not have hot water during the night, the door lock was broken and the coffee pot was broken. On the plus side, the water park was fun except the kiddie area water is ice cold! On the negative, the staff is not friendly or helpful. Lifeguards were the same, they all seem like it was bothering them to be there. It could use some cleaning and repair work. I might go back again, but I will never stay in the hotel. It was overpriced and not very clean. The beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. The tub in bathroom was dirty, something splashed on the overhead light, I dont even know what, and to boot I had to take luke warm shower.

We stayed here last weekend and it was the worst experience. The hotel is very rundown and not managed well at all. There no towels at the water park, we had to use the towels in our room to dry off, then we called for dry towels I was told we would put on a list - we never received them. The icing on the cake was the blood that was all over the floor at the entrance to the park and people were walking through it tracking it into the park - they didnt block off the area just tried to clean around it. Disgusting! We went to the park because we got a deal on My Perks, I would have been very mad if I had paid full price. This place is a joke. The room had mold, a crack in the ceiling, holes in the wall. When we commented on our stay to the front desk all they could say is sorry to hear that. No customer service at all. Lesson learned, we will not ever be back and we will be telling all of our friends about our awful stay.

We were there the end of January and it was freezing. They didnt have any towels at the pool and didnt plan on getting us any. They said the hotel just brings them whenever. My husband had to run back to our room wet to get them. We asked for more at the front desk and it took hours before they brought them. There were also socks I assume from the previous guest still left in our room. Wasnt very clean, just not a good experience.

This place looked great from the outside but the rooms were unbearably hot! At least 80 degrees the entire night despite the air conditioner running weakly and the thermostat turned down. Aside from the hot rooms there was a high pitch ringing that continued the entire night. The next morning the breakfast was not complimentary despite the check in employee telling our party that it was. The menu was over priced and less than impressive. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It is CLOSED! Stop reviewing this place from your visit 5 years ago!!I live here, and everyday see the water tubes which went from the indoor waterpark area...outside (they were enclosed)...back into the hotel waterpark...ARE HANGING OVER THE PARKING LOT AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS!!!. (Correction, I JUST drove by on 465. Those dangerous water tubes, which were hanging over the public, empty, parking lots, have been removed at their top exits, broken down to just the last tube sections entering the closed hotel. The exit holes at the top are boarded up, as well as the bit of tubing left to enter the old waterpark. Why they did not remove the last section of water tube....another mystery. But you can clearly see square plywood boards over these tube sections. Doubt they keep out the riff raff, though.)It is NOT under construction as an old, faded sign still barely hanging on the doors say. The place looks destined to be torn down. There is your construction. Some people do work inside. That is a mystery to all. They are not hotel people.People in the area use the parking lots to meet and all use one car to go to work sites. Not THIS one, however! So give it up. Take it from a local who can see this hotel. Not a web travel site: CARRIBEAN COVE IS CLOSED FOR GOOD.

Check in took an hour, the place was filthy, trash left sitting throughout the hotel and water park, the elevators didnt work half the time and some guy was sleeping under the stairs in the stairwell so we had to escort a couple young girls up to their floor because they were frightened by him. This is happening in a hotel full of kids!?There were no towels in the water park or the general pool area. The room was over priced considering theres no fridge or microwave as most have grown to expect in their hotel rooms these days. The security officers and other employees were standing out front complaining about other employees. When I stopped at the front desk to ask a question, the comment watch your six was made from one security guard to the other as the female guard jumped back. Seriously? Im a guest at your f@$!ing hotel! Dont treat me like a damn suspect! Go bust the bum in the stairwell, or whomever is smoking and stinking up the fourth floor hallway. This used to be a very nice establishment several years but well never spend another cent. The owners take no pride in their establishment and its turned into a pit.I took photos but I doubt theyll allow them to be posted since its the entrance, stairways, and water park with trash laying everywhere.

The second one kinda worked but the ceiling in the bathroom was pouring out water. We had fun at the water park but for the money to stay and swim isnt worth it. I would say a good 3/4 of the arcade games dont work. I was completely surprised at the amount of things that are wrong here. Also if you get a room with a balcony...its hotter than the desert sitting out there...only 1 ice machine so far is working...the only good thing is the cleaning lady was super nice and the staff understands and tries to help...but with the place falling down around them all they really can do is apologize.

We had to wait for 45 minutes in a line to check in with only 2 people working at the desk. Once up there we found out that only one of the two rooms that we reserved was available. Then we were told that a person from housekeeping had called in earlier in the morning and that they were out of hot water on one of the floors. This was at 5 pm when we were checking in. Since the hot water was out they choose to not do laundry so housekeeping may have been cleaning the rooms but they had no linen. We had to go back to the desk several times to find out if we even had a second room and finally had one after 10 pm. 5 hours later!! The two at the front were working hard but no one from management made an appearance at all nor did they even let us know what was going on! A little bit could have gone a long way. We will never visit this place again. Our family was very disappointed. Later on we wanted to eat- we went to the other pool area and saw that only one person was working the food counter. It took around 30 minutes to get our food (this was an order and pick up, nothing formal) and the line continued to grow. He really could have used some extra help. The man was extremely polite and never appeared upset that he was busy but I felt horrible for him. The room that part of our family was in had peeling wallpaper and a pillow with mold all over it. Several stains were on the linen as well. Our bathroom had tile that was falling off of the wall. A little TLC and some improved service would make this place much better. Really poor management!!

So glad we did not listen to all the bad reviews! We had a blast with our grown children and grands. Check in was easy into our 3 Atrium rooms overlooking the pool. The entire staff was courteous and helpful. This is not a 5 star luxury hotel for a romantic getaway.... its a fun filled place for families!!Our (simple and perhaps a little outdated) rooms were ready upon our early arrival, CLEAN and fresh. They also brought up a crib and mini fridges to each one of our three rooms without hesitation on our request. We ordered pizza and chicken wings from the atrium pool bar and enjoyed that before heading off to the water park. The water-park is not overly huge but has 3 awesome towering body-slides that even the adults enjoyed and rode over and over with no lines at all. The huge hot tub was a little tad on the hot side but was super enjoyable to relax in even for the children ( ages 5, 4, 3 and 1) . The guys enjoyed games of basketball in the plunge pool while the ladies and children played in the pirate themed splash pad with water shooting every which way. The children were laughing and having a ball the entire time and man, did they ever sleep good both nights!! (bonus) Lifeguards and staff were all very attentive and helpful at the park as well as the upstairs arcade over looking the water-park.We ate in the Cafe one night for dinner where they have deli-sh buffet or order from the menu. Again not a 5 star gourmet place but yummy edible and affordable selections for all. Breakfast buffet was complimentary on our reservation and pretty tasty with eggs, bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, pancakes, cereal and array of pastries and a variety of the usual breakfast drinks.SO many eateries within a mile of the hotel with a Texas Roadhouse right next door and a Cracker Barrel across the street.. we took advantage of a nearby Chipotle for one meal. YUM!The atrium pool was open till 11pm on Friday and Saturday and is a calmer option once you leave the (indoor) water-park( closes at 10pm) to settle back to your room area. We loved being right on the 2nd floor balcony level overlooking. So many families having so much fun and laughter... so dont expect it to be a quiet retreat until they close the pool but quiet is not really what this place is all about. We were thrilled with the memories made spending time with our family! Was it a perfect brand new place? No.. but this is a 40 ( or nearly) 40 year old establishment that has been maintained very well. The only complain would be the full size rather than queen size beds that we assumed we would have. There are queen and king room available... we shouldnt have assumed. But we were there for the water fun.. not the room anyway. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back in January for another visit.(Our stay was mid- November 2014)

My 2 kids (now age 12 & 9) stayed here 5 years ago (then 7 & 4) on Spring Break. It was a Holiday Inn then. Since then, very little has changed. No updates. However, Holiday Inn gave Restaurant vouchers for $10 or $15 for dinner. Breakfast was already included. This stay, the hotel was presentable. Not dirty. 4 pillows on each bed. Coffee maker with sample coffee. No fridge, which weve become accustomed to in hotel rooms. The water park was great on the first day, except the snack bar had slim offerings by 5, when we were getting a little hungry. We settled for nachos and bread sticks. They didnt enforce the no food or drinks around the pool area. We brought our drinks downstairs. The second day, the water park was packed! I didnt understand why they were letting in people not staying at the hotel when it was so crowded. I know they were turning people away by 11:00, but it was already too late. There werent nearly enough chairs for everyone. We entered by 10:05 and had our choice, but by 10:15, no more chairs, which were plentiful the previous day. This was the middle of week and during our Spring Break (week before Easter), but still a bit crazy. We had planned to leave by 2, but due to the crowding, we got out of the water before 1 and were out the door by 1:30. Towels were sporadically absent, but if you waited about 15 minutes and you could get more. Tubes were scarce the second day and the lifeguards were taking them from people as they exited the slide. The slide rides were packed the second day, whereas the first there wasnt even a line. I think if they had controlled the number of people coming in that werent staying at the hotel, the crowd wouldve been more manageable. For a 12 and a 9 year old to say they were ready to leave early, you know the crowd was bad. I would still come here again. The kids had a great time and I like the size. It was so easy to keep track of 2 kids there.

We reserved four rooms, for our family get together in June 2014. The experience was not good. One of the rooms had something sticking out from under the bed. Called For maintenance to come fix it, two different times. They never showed up. We had two beds in our room, when they came to clean the room, only one bed was made. Left the other a mess. Did not fill toilet paper, kleenex or the coffee. I was told when making the reservations, that the pool in the atrim, was heated. It was ice cold. Everyone that got in, not only our group, but everyone would not stay in. The hot tub was not working. In the water park, the stairs going up to the food and drink area, was in bad shape. Someone could hurt their feet, if going up without shoes. There were not many choices of food or drink and high priced. The Free Breakfast, the buffet, had very few choices. The water park was enjoyable for the kids and the other family members. The front desk and room service staff were very nice.

Oct. 6, 2013To start my review, if I had read the previous reviews from recent vacationers, I wouldnt have to be writing my review now, because I would not have wasted our hard earned money. Lack of tubes for the waterpark is absolutely 100% correct. Several tubes laying on the concrete edges of the pool, half flat or half full, either way, would not have held up a adult. If they would take a look at Wolf Lodge by Kings Island in OH, they would know how to prevent having a lack of water tubes, especially for the ones that want a tube to go down the big yellow water slide. No pillows in our room, finally got them at 9:30 pm when we were ready to go to bed. Only 3 towels in the bathroom and we had 4 people. Waterpark ran out of clean towels at 3:30 pm and the park doesnt close til 10 pm, I cant help but wonder what all those people who came in after 3:30 pm did to dry off. Will not be using this facility again and will not recommend it to anyone. If anyone asks me about it, Ill tell them to stay away and spend their money somewhere else. If you want a nice getaway with a water park, go to Ohio to Great Wolf Lodge. Its about 3 times as big as Caribbean Cove and much nicer and lots of water tubes and huge towels.

Okay, it is hard to earn a 5 star rating, but it is even harder, in my opinion, to earn a 1 star rating. This place even worse than many of the ratings you see posted on here.No warm water for a shower. No towels in the room upon entering the room. Nothing more than sheets on the bed - not a blanket, nor comforter. Non-working heater upon arrival. Maintenance did come fix it at 11pm, but when it did work it was a loud, clanky heater that keeps you up all night with sounds of explosions each time it starts and stops.Want to watch TV? You cant here. Channels come in fuzzy and some not at all. Their pay-per-view channel comes in flawlessly, though. Strange, eh? Hard to get a hold of the front desk via phone. Even when I complained nicely face-to-face in the morning, they only said, Were sorry and we will let maintenance know. Merry Christmas. I felt bad for the front desk ladies, actually, as I am sure they are not happy to greet customers knowing the problems this hotel faces.

My husband and I went this past weekend. We were excited considering it was our annual get away. We were looking forward to the room we booked - king sized bed with a couch, and a whirlpool tub, the pool (a chance for us adults to just act like kids), and the service had a reputation of being great. WE WERE SO WRONG! The computers crashed that morning, and rather than implementing a way for check in to go smoothly the staff crossed its fingers and hoped for the best. We walked in the doors at 4:07pm (check in began at 4) and waited over an hour and a half in line. When we asked what type of accommodations they were planning to give guests the employee said she could waive the $25 hold for incidentals they placed on my husbands credit card. Why? The money would be returned to us within days considering we had no plans on trashing the room. We decided to just speak to the manager later that day when things calmed down. We then proceeded up to our room, opened the door...and SURPRISE! It was someone elses room! We promptly walked downstairs, talked to the manager on duty, Collin, who assured us he would take care of the issue in just a moment. While waiting the couples whose room we had been given came down because they could not access their room, their key was promptly reprogrammed. During my 45 minute wait for another employee to acknowledge and fix the room issue two more people came to the lobby with the same issue - a double booked room. One woman started screaming about the issue and they fixed it immediately. So, since a scene fixes the issue I threatened one. I was given a new room and a new key within 2 minutes. We proceeded to our room... At this time it was almost 7pm. The room we received was a standard queen with none of the extras. Fantastic right? At least we could still make our dinner reservations and go swimming. Wait... our reservations were for 6 so we missed them... and the pool water was less then 50 degrees and was at capacity. So what is it we paid for again? A double booked room, a room less than what we paid for, and a swimming pool we could not use.... Icing on the cake? Our bed felt like laying outside in grass - hard and lumpy. We left after laying in bed for three hours complaining and just drove home. The manager dodged my husband and I all evening, even after promising to return our calls, and meet us in the lobby. If you want to waste your money on the worst service in the world, be their guest. But of the over 100 families I encountered yesterday... no one will be returning, us included.

Our bi annual family reunion was held at this hotel and water park in June 2014...WHAT A DISASTER! Some of our family ended up leaving because they had roaches in their room. The staff was uninformed, unsupervised unprofessional and seemed unconcerned. Our banquet bread basket contained bread so green and moldy that I originally thought it was herb bread. When we pointed it out to the kitchen supervisor she was unapologetic, not appalled, not surprised and seemed unfazed! There was crumbs in the cream intended for coffee and the day before the cream was curdled! They are going to KILL SOMEONE if they dont change soon! I did not use the water park because I heard so many bad things about it, i.e. nasty items floating in the lazy river, actual dirt floating in the water. Ive been to a lot of hotels in my day but this one was by far the worst! To add insult to injury one family member was told at check out that her card had been declined and she was to pay a higher rate. They ended up charging her far more that she should have paid, they would not allow her to speak to the manager and were rude and unprofessional! What a dump and a waste of money. We arrived at a dirty room with a broken toilet that did not flush, a coffee pot that did not work, the room phone was missing buttons, there were still dirty finger prints on the mirrors and slider door, there were gummy bears candy stuck to the walls. The ice maker on our floor was not working. I had originally book the room through there web site for 2 nights, I cancelled our second night. For the amount of money I paid for this trip I expected a little more appeal. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone ever.

I ABSOLUTELY ONLY GAVE IT ONE STAR FOR EFFORT. First off lets start off by saying... the water park is closed... fine not the biggest deal because the indoor pool was still open. So... other than that the other guests I came with, we didnt spend all day here in the hotel we came to Indianapolis for an event so we didnt do much investigation on the hotel We thought at night would be nice to relax and swim and utilize the hottub. As we are walking in the pool area a group of people warned us there were ROACHES!!!!We get in there and see them flowing in the pool and crawling I have photo evidence! I will be fully reporting this. The cable really sucks like the tv is snowy and these people sell the hotel like its the best place. The wifi barely works and more its ridiculous! I cant even and they better be doing a refund because I will never stay here again! And Ill let anyone else know. And I should have picked the pnthe signes when this was the only hotel available for the races weekend. All others were booked and I wonder why this one was not! DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED AF!

This was the absolute worst hotel stay Ive ever had. The hotel was dirty, the staff could care less, and the locals would come in and drop of their kids for the day and leave. There was absolutely no parent supervision in the waterpark and the kids were all behaving horribly. With the adults that were there, I saw more tattoos than I did teeth. This is supposedly a kid-centric hotel, but they are opening a tilted kilt attached to the hotel and they charge for kids programming. Not fun.

My husband, myself and two of our children (ages 12 & 14) stayed at Caribbean Cove for 2 nights. The hotel and waterpark themselves seemed to be well kept. The lifeguards at the waterpark appeared to be very alert of swimmers, especially the little ones. The only real problem we had was our room. We paid nearly $400 for two nights in a room with two beds. Upon arriving at our room, we opened the door to find two fans set up and blowing on the carpet. We understand that things happen (people get sick on the carpet, water leaks, etc.) but the stench was horrible and the carpet was wet. So back down to the front desk we went. We asked if we could get a different room. The staff was very friendly and did get us another room. However, the room we got had one queen bed (there was 4 of us!). We asked for some other sleeping accommodations for our children and finally around 10pm we were able to get a roll away bed (no pillows though). My husband went back down to the front desk to ask for 2 pillows and a couple extra towels (I dont know why hotels never give you enough in the first place). We waited up until after midnight and never got any pillows or towels. The next day my husband again went down to the front desk and asked for towels and pillows again. He was told they would send some up. They again never came. Throughout the day, I, myself asked two different house keeping personnel for these items and was told theyd be brought up. Nothing. Our children at one point went down to the front desk and asked and again, nothing. Finally at 8:45pm on our last night there we were brought towels. We never saw any pillows. It was a little frustrating to say the least. We dont usually complain about things when we go to a hotel for the simple fact that we expect what we pay for (we usually stay in cheap hotels) but $400 is a lot to us and 5 times of asking for towels and pillows just seemed like it was 3-4 times too many. Will we go back? Eh....not likely unfortunately.

We changed rooms three times in one night due to (1) killing a spider in the bed; (2) no a/c; and, (3) an ant infestation in the bathroom (which was slimy. Yes, slimy.). We had to ask three times over the course of a few hours for an ironing board, which was only delivered after I went to the front desk and got noticeably upset. Other customers were complaining of no a/c in their rooms and one person wanted a new room after waking up to find the bathroom floor flooded from the leaking ceiling tiles. The entire hotel smelled like chlorine and chemicals (which is somewhat understandable because of the indoor pool and water park--but ALL FIVE levels of the hotel? Really?). There were no bed-skirts on the bedsprings and the pillows were tiny (we had a king size bed with four small pillows on it). The mattress covers didnt actually fit the beds and they looked to be made in a hurry. The curtains in all three rooms had unusual stains all over them and the televisions in two of the rooms didnt get reception. Much of the hallway and lobby decor was falling apart or in shambles. The crew decided to clean during breakfast with a bleach-based mixture (not acceptable practice next to a buffet serving food). Also, the water park is a separate fee; it is not included in the cost of the room. This was one of the worst hotel experiences Ive had in a long time. Our reservation was only for two nights; we cancelled and found a different place for night 2.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. We arrived late on a Friday night and were greeted by a super friendly staff person. She had us in our room with our breakfast tickets and water park passes in less than 5 minutes. Our room was atrium side on the 4th floor and was very clean and nice. There were two comfy beds and a large balcony for the kids to hang out on. I was worried about the pool noise but at 11:00pm (hotel quiet time) both nights the lobby area was silent and we didnt hear anything with our door closed. The bathroom was clean and the only thing that I could find wrong with the room is the toilet paper holders were broken. However, little things like that dont ruin a great experience. There was a great selection at their breakfast buffet for both the kids and adults. Our waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. Our kids had a fantastic time at the waterpark and arcade on a Saturday. The only frustration we had at the waterpark was not enough tubes to really enjoy all the rides and the lazy river otherwise it was wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

This hotel was an awful experience for me and my family. It took 2 and a half hours to check in and once we did get our room key, we discovered the nothing worked. Elevators were broken, ice machine broken, atrium hot tub broken, empty vending machine, no towels, broken toilet. The room was subpar; The curtains were filthy and the bathroom had seen better days. I feel bad for the staff as they were all friendly to us but had to work in this awful place.I will say that the waterpark was nice. The lines werent too long for any of the slides and the kids had a blast. It needs a little work - It was kind of dirty and I saw a lot of rust all over. I would go back to the waterpark, but we would buy a day pass and stay at a different hotel.

July 2013. NOT impressed! Like others, the hotel and water park are not as the pictures show. The lobby was very nice and impressive, but when checking in multiple people were voicing their disappointments about their rooms and water park. I was nervous about even taking a key to stay, but did anyways. The rooms were NOT clean. The corners on the floor were filthy and gross. The curtain was all stained up and dirty also. The sliding door to the balcony did not lock either, which made us not keep any of our belongings in our room while we were not in it. Also, a few cars in the parking lot had gotten broke into and belongings stolen. The staff were NOT professional either. The water park was nice for little kids but not any older than 6 or 7. Lack of tubes also was an issue for us and others. We will NOT be staying again. I guess I have learned that you get what you pay for!!

The pizza was terrible my entire group of 10 people all stated the break sticks tasted like playdough... and the drinks had 0 ice... We waited over 20min for the one person working at the stand to take our freaking order because he was running around the hotel doing god knows what...This was a terrible experience all around. I will never be back and advise anyone else to stay away and save your money.

Ive never checked out of a hotel early until Caribbean Cove. I legitimately dont know how this place hasnt been shut down. Youre deceived when walking in and think Oh, this could be a cool little place, but then you go to the rooms. Our straight up box spring bed literally smelled like human feces and there were multiple unknown stains all over the sheets and pillows. The curtains had been attacked by either rats, moths, or cigarettes. Probably all of the above. The sun shining through them in the morning was like a constellation. Oh, and there were somehow stains on those too. Our AC unit sounded like it was full or rocks and ended up flooding our bathroom - water pouring from the ceiling tiles. The walls are paper thin and the gaps between the door and the doorframe are enough see through. The door had clearly been broken into at one point as well. I dont think the floor had even been vacuumed (there were old hair ties full of hair on the floor) nor do I think they actually do laundry. They maybe febreeze some things. You have children screaming up and down the halls and lovely adults screaming outside - and then the flashing of police lights in your window as they got called numerous times throughout the night. Our cable was somehow staticky, so hopefully you dont want to watch TV.Im not a picky person and have stayed in tons of old, dingy hotels. This is not old and dingy - its plain gross and truly unsafe. Go elsewhere. This place needs to be shut down.

We called and made reservations thru the motel, told park closed but the pool was open . So we took our 3 children down and after getting there the pool was closed. Then found out thru employees that there was a fire in pool area thats why it was closed.. one elevator was working and it didnt sound healthy at all . The security doors on the east side of motel didnt work, in fact bare wires hanging out of frame. Metal door on north east side was totally ripped out and leaned against the building. I noticed a battery operated smoke detector stuck up in the light above our room door . So I investigated a little further and seen where the hardwired smoke detectors were disconnected on the main floor. The room had no trashcan, no fresh toilet paper, Windows so dirty it was hard to see out, heater seemed to intermittently work, no hot water in sink. Tv was fuzzy and discolored. Looking under sink in bathroom and it was filthy. Crack in the wall / ceiling joint was filled with mold. The beds were like concrete with toddler size pillows on the beds. Then the stairway on north east side ( used since elevators didnt work) was beyond filthy, smelled like urine and sewage. The hall heater by the exit door had the whole top caved in and wires, heating elements showing. We were kinda stuck with staying the first night, every other motel in area was full. A lot stuff wasnt noticed at first but kept getting worse. but by 6 am I was down asking about refund and making sure we didnt get second night charged. Management was notified of issues our number was left and havent heard anything but we are pursuing a refund. Talking to other patrons we found out that there was rooms with no water at all, toilets filthy, no phone, outlets not working and no refunds giving .Luckily my childrens mini vacation wasnt ruined after the 200 miles we drove since we found a cancellation at the Homewood suites by Hilton which was only 7 more dollars a night and was a awesome motel with beyond awesome staff..

Do Indianapolis a favor and never patron this hole. It needs to be shut down. Filthy. Just filthy. Food smatterings on our curtains, red stains of who-knows-what on floor, elevators broken, and as many roaches as you can handle. In fact, there was a super happy roach clambering up the INSIDE of the vending machine in our hallway. The waterpark is okay (life guards...psht. Not exactly - swim at your own risk) for a short couple of hours. Bring your own life vests if you have a younger swimmer and you want them to live. If you stay overnight, know that you will be awake until a minimum of 11pm when they finally practically fist fight the drunk trash to get them out of the indoor pool (which is not the same as the waterpark that will close at 9pm). I fear breakfast...I will not be eating it...and will be checking out the minute my children open their eyes. Sorry we came and wasted our money. Run away. Do not come here. Ever.

I dont normally write these reviews but felt it absolutely necessary to share my experience with future patrons. We arrived planning on swimming at the waterpark the night we got there. The posted time for closing the park is 9pm. The life gaurds decided to close the part early at 7:30pm. (Yes they have to power to do that) After some persistent discussions with the front desk and manager the time got moved to 8:30pm. Still 30min earlier than what is posted. When discussed with the front desk they said the manager of the water park was given the authority of the owner to close the water park whenever he saw fit due to low occupancy. Obviously the owner is not looking out for the customers. Along with not being able to count on the time of closing the life gaurds were extremely rude and annoyed that they have to be there. The kiddie pool areas water heater was broken and water ice cold. I see in an earlier review 3 weeks ago they mentioned the heater as well. So the hotel is obviously not fixing a thing. The only good thing about this place is the front desk. They were powerless and tried to make the best of a bad situation caused by the owner and his designated leaders. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Funny thing is, they have a white board that suggests writing a review about the place on tripvisor and yelp. I plan on writing this same one on both. Good suggestion!!!!

People are not kidding with such a low review!! I booked the hotel through Hotwire, without knowing what hotel it is until I made my payment. Biggest mistake during my entire trip! Its no way near a 3 star.1. First of all, the location is weird: unlike all other nearby hotels, this one doesnt even have a sign outside, it just looks dead. I finally figured out which building it is by looking at the pictures of the hotel I found on Google.2. The amenities are extremely old: the telephone looks greasy and doesnt work, the ac is extremely loud, stains on the the carpet, pillows are uncomfortable and sheets are super stiff, why not simply use fabric softener??3. Unhelpful staff: I guess its more suitable if I say staff who doesnt want to help. I arrived late at night, because of the acs noisy problem, I had to turn it off when I need to sleep. The problem is, my room doesnt even have a blanket, it has only three layers of flatsheets as cover (the middle layer seems like a fancier sheet, but its seriously sheet thin). I tried to call front desk asking for a blanket, but the phone in the room doesnt work, finally when I called with my cellphone and asked super politely if they have blankets, a lady named Kathy simply said when I was in the laundry room I didnt see any extra blanket. Thats it. Couldve offered help by giving me more sheets or switching to a room without ac problem, but no, thats it.o.m.gI dont want to keep ranting because it makes me sad. But if you have the option to stay somewhere else, dont stay here. There are cheaper and nicer placed near by

This is one shady place. While we were at the water park our rooms were broken into and ransacked. Everything of value was taken, including our cell phones, car keys and both cars that we drove to this dump.Needless to say staff was not concerned about anything, and the 2 security guards that were on duty were a joke. Our cars were recovered by IMPD the following day, they were found in the Forest Manor area, both totalled and stripped of everything including carseats (as we had 7 children with us), and all personal belongings.A group of males(18-25)were seen at some point not caught.Come to find out, the sliding glass doors in our room did not lock and thats how they got in....however, upon reading some of these reviews I have discovered that there are several rooms with doors that dont lock and the staff is aware of this fact. Hmmmm...inside job...I think so.

This hotel is not worth the cost. We were in Room 303 - king size bed with pull out sofa and stayed overnight on a Thursday. There was no bedskirt or comforter on the bed, just the bare box spring and there were 3 very small pillows one of which was so flat it looked like a chair pad -- very tacky. The mattress also needs replacing. My husband woke up with a stiff neck. The window shades had holes in them. The bottom sheet on the pull out sofa was ripped on the mattress area. The furnace rattled whenever it ran.The bathroom is in need of major updating. The hallways were not clean and had trash in the corners, etc.The waterpark and pool were nice, but again trash everywhere. The trash cans in the cafe area were so overflowing that there was nowhere to put trash when you were finished with your meal. And this was at 3pm, long after a lunch rush. Towels were very scarce. There seemed to be maintenance people walking around in almost every area, but I never saw them take care of these neglected areas. When I told the front desk clerk about the problems with our room she was indifferent about it. I expect better quality for a room/waterpark that was over $200 for 2 adults and 1 child.I dont think we will ever stay here again.

If only no stars were an option, this place is horribly ran and we had 2 iPhones, an Android phone, 600$ cash stolen from a bag in our chair at the water park, then when we noticed we told life guards and managers immediately who told me they will fill out an incident report. We end up having a gardner turn our bag into the front desk within maybe 30 mins, empty saying he found it in the dumpster. well not blaming him but he was let go not questioned or anything. I asked front desk to call the police department for me so i could file a report they said the water park manager would have to handle that. I go ask this Gina? if she will call and she says she has and they should respond soon. After waiting 45 mins i realize its too late its all gone and say screw it. We continue our night and play some arcade games which like others stated most are broken or not working properly. Kid working counter in arcade sits on phone the whole time with headphones in, mumbles when he talks and doesnt seem to care about anything at all. We go back to room after a long day at the zoo and water park, i took my little siblings. well only two towels for one and my gf uses 2 for hair and body well after the whole day i didnt feel safe letting my gf walk around the property without me with her for i was afraid something could happen to her. No toilet paper holders, Table in room the whole top fell off onto my foot when i set a pizza on it. We ended up checking out and leaving at about 4am on 6/2/14 WORST hotel experience i have ever experienced. i told front desk (of course another shift) of all my issues and i knew it wasnt his fault but i wanted to let them know he apologized and said that he would comp the room. i was charged at check in now to wait 2-3 days to see if they will honor what they say and actually refund the room and water park. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, and hope that people read these reviews and stay away. This place wont be in business much longer running it like this. Others are right too Atrium ceiling leaks in about 5 places they just put wet floor signs over water, never clean it up. Ladders left leaning in Atrium that could be tripped on. After reading many negative reviews about Caribbean Cove, I was terrified to actually experience it myself. I decided that I needed to go in with an open mind and just enjoy my time on vacation. On my way to the hotel (which was 3 hours from my house) I received a call from the lobby receptionist, telling me that they had not received our Zoo tickets that we had purchased as part of the walk on the wild side package. They said they already took that off of the balance and that tickets are still available at the zoo itself. They also told me on the phone that even though check out is at 4 pm, we were welcome to come as soon as we got our family gathered up. They said our room was cleaned and ready for us. When we arrived, check in time took LESS than 5 minutes. The desk attendant was very helpful in explaining how to get to our room and where we should park to be closer to that specific room. As we went upstairs to our room, we went in expecting a horrible mess (according to previous reviews). Our room was a nice King bed with sofa room. It was clean and ready for our arrival. The ONLY complaint I have about the room is there was a small rust spot in our shower stall that had a sharp piece on it. After entering our room and putting our stuff away we decided to check out the Water Park. We went in and was blown away. It was a nice set up with 3 slides, a lazy river, a regular sized pool and an area for smaller children to play. While we were in there, staff members performed tests on the chemical level of the water (which again put my mind at ease, considering previous reviews said how disgusting the water was). In the same area as the waterpark, there was a pizza/snack bar you could fill up on. They also had an arcade in this area. It was similar to Chuck E Cheese. Lots of fun games that give you the chance to earn tickets to redeem for prizes. By the way, the staff has been amazing thus far. Lifeguards were helping people in and out of lazy river, friendly staff in passing, the snack shop worker was friendly, etc. You didnt even have to ask for help, they were there to do it. Once we went back to the room, we realized we didnt have enough towels for showers, so my husband simply went downstairs and asked to get more towels. They instantly gave him some towels and he was on his way. In a whole different section of the hotel, there was another pool, 2 smaller arcade areas and in the evening they played movies (PG) for the children/families and offered free popcorn for the viewing. In addition to all these perks, when you get up in the morning, you receive a FREE breakfast. Im not talking the usual continental breakfast--Im talking eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, cereal, donuts, fruit, etc--buffett style. Now for checkout, they informed us that even though we were checking out (by 11) you can still play in the waterpark until 9 pm that evening!! Thats awesome! When we checked out, we accidentally left one of our luggage bags and traveled the 3 hour trip back home. As soon as we realized it, I called and they had recovered it from the lobby and had it safely behind the counter. They worked with us as far as having it shipped home, but we ended up having a family/friend pick it up for us instead. They took down personal information to make sure they gave our bag to the correct person. My husband and I were completely satisfied with the hotel, the service and all it offers!! We will DEFINATELY be going again. The whole time my husband and I kept asking each other, Are you sure we are at the same hotel that those people were talking about in the reviews??? There is no way someone could be that unsatisfied with this place!!!

We had a recent trip to Caribbean Cove, however, it will be the last. The place is extremely filthy and the staff could care less about any of their guest. The guards are in the indoor water park area were on their cell phones sitting in chairs near the pool area. The waterslides were not monitored as they should be. It also states that you must have a wrist band to attend the indoor water park, which is not the case either, as long as you make friends with the guy at the check in desk, he will let you in, therefore, their were plenty of kids their that should not have been. After the waterpark, we went back to our room, which had disgusting bathrooms, and an air conditioner that did not work properly. Once we were ready for bed we called to request for sheets/blankets due to the cool temperatures in our room. However, after 30 min. no one ever showed up, so we went down to the desk, where they said they would bring some up. Again, 30mins had gone by and no blankets. After making a 3rd request I was told the facility was out. I highly doubt this was the case, but at this point I was ready for bed.At check out, we notified them of all our problems, she said a note had been sent out to the staff, after other guest had similar complaints. She apologized and deducted $40 from our bill, which has nothing compared to what it cost to stay there and swim.

First i have to say that I expected more than what I found. We pulled into a deserted run down hotel that wasnt in good repair, with multiple signs that pointed to it not being a quality or happy stay. The hotel was:-run down-in disrepair-sub par in cleaning-apparent mold problem-elevators are very rickety-rooms were ok in size, but the air conditioning didnt work. the inside building temp is above 70degrees and reaches the same temp as the water in the waterpark (80 degrees). the air conditioning is needed for a comfortable sleep, unless you are above the age of 70 and like your living conditions to be border line sauna.-customer service was horrible, unorganized, multiple misscommunications and finally additional hidden charges due to poor managerial practices. This only covers the rooms and hotel, the water park is up next.-The waterpark is sub par-But our kids under the age of 6 liked it; if you are an adult you will find your skin crawling with questions about it being clean-The water is heavily chlorinated but all of the surfaces feel like you are getting some type of flesh eating virus that could wipe out a small african country.-The play sets inside look ok, until you start really looking at them, broken valves, play items with sharp edges, rusty and broken pipes. The broken valve handles and rusty and broken play items are basically cuts just waiting to happen. With any cut at this place I would run as fast as possible to the ER so as to not catch a bad staph infection or tetnus.overall, i wouldnt waste my money on this place or even stay there in a pinch. very bad experience filled with other items that couldnt be stated here since i only had time to write these things. bad stuff and makes you wonder if you need to get a round of antibiotics when you got home.just remember, bad hotel, bad waterpark and hidden charges within the hotel packages. if you want to end up paying more and end up staying in a meth lab desguised as a hotel, than this is the hotel for you. if not, then save your money and find a great wolf lodge or go to the ymca to have a good swimming pool.

I made a reservation online, drove all the way from Fort Wayne only to find out the Waterpark is closed for renovations. No where does it say on their website nor at any of the booking sites. Wasted time gas money and have 2 upset kids and a completely pissed off mom. Will not be coming back.

Absolute biggest waste of money Ive ever spent! The hotel is utterly filthy, staff is rude, the beds are to hard to sleep on, and we werent even told at check in that the water park is closed for repairs! The smaller hotel pool was available but there was slimy brown sludge all around the deck of the pool.

Not a family friendly environment. My son was nearly ran over by grown ads men having a serious basketball game in the kiddie pool. Language was horrible around kids. We caught a little thug going through our stuff. Place was dirty. Well, just down right disgusting. Toilet paper all over the floor. Human waste on the wall in the bathroom. We did not feel safe nor welcome.Dont waste your money. Major disappointment. The place looks like it was awesome at one point. Now its just a hang out for thugs.Admission was $15 per person.Sad Sad sad

Booked a double room for myself and my grown son for the Big 10 tournament as hotel had a fair price and was not too far from Lucas Oil. One of the biggest mistakes of my life! Elevator - out of order, Jacuzzi - out of order. Screaming, unsupervised young children everywhere - you couldnt have used the pool if you wanted to. Broken items in room, filthy stairways, horrid TV reception. Rooms face the pool area, and if you want to sleep, forget it. The cacophony of noise from the pool wont allow it. Across the hall from us was a room filled with small children and no adults. We reported this to the front desk who could have cared less. Evening staff at the front desk are wholly unprofessional, with no signs of visible intelligence. We ended up leaving at 2 in the morning to make the long drive home to try to sleep. Perhaps the WORST part of all is that they dont inform you that the water park, is open to the public. They pay to get in there and they come in droves. There is an unlocked door leading from this public water park to the hotel rooms - NO security. ANYONE has access to the hotel and rooms. Dangerous, dirty, and despicable
