Bar far one of the best dive bars in Indy! The staff is great. The the patio is the perfect place to sit and sip with friends on a spring, summer, or fall night. Also has great bar food!
Dorman Street wont change your life, but its great as far as slightly divey bars go. Will return.
Unfortunately I think this Saloon is closed due to Covid-19...however, I love this little corner bar and enjoyed going in in the past. Good drinks, great employees...I hope they open back up if they are in fact closed.
A classic tavern established 1908. Always wanted to visit. Friendly place with patio.
Its been pretty quiet the last few times Ive been here (post COVID). Its nice to have the pool table to yourself, so you can get a few games in. Sweet music available on the jukebox ($1 for 2 songs! ), punk, classic rock, The Cure, if you want to depress the hells out of everyone in there.... anyone? Ive definitely been guilty of that. And ladies? If youre a Whovian, the womens loo is the T.A.R.D.I.S. *mic drop*Oh, wait! This is a bar! BEER! THEY HAVE GREAT BEER! They also have a decent selection of hard liquor, if thats what youre in the mood for. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.Dont forget your mask!
Just stumbled upon this place one night. Great find!
Dorman Street Saloon is somehow lively and relaxed at the same time. They have a great beer and cocktail selection along with basic food offerings. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere friendly staff
Superb service! A hidden gem in Indy
Great place for food, friends, and a drink. great for a date night to sit and enjoy the scenery.
Easily the best of the dive bars in Indy. Very friendly clientele and staff and a great cross section of the city
I love this place.
Great old fashions with some sort of expensive black cherries. Great drink. Unfortunately I drank too many Monday night and could barely walk to my sister’s house which is only 2 blocks away. I fell twice and had a really hard time getting up. Love the bartender, Kat. Great tats and cool facial piercings. Cool chick. She begged us not to drive. We took an Lyft back to my mom’s.
Good beer selection. Terrible clientele. Bros and hipsters. The bartender last Saturday was awesome and tried her best to put on the Indy Eleven match I requested. Pool table is adequate. Outdoor patio very good. Fake dart board terrible. Music tolerable.
Good people, nice quiet place 2 have a drink with your friends & a nice beer garden out back 4 the 1s that like 2 have a smoke . Also good food
I love this place. If I dont know where to go, I just start heading to the Dorman. Its my Cheers.
Kat was my bartender and, not only is she the nicest human, she also suggested a gin I would have never tried but loved!
Great beer selection and a killer juke box :)
Great place. Always chill, and staff is cool
Local, friendly, good selection
I love this bar. My wife and I are in all the time.
Cool vibe and fantastic beer selection!
Good drinks and cheap pool and darts. Great place to go for a weekend out
A quaint dive bar. A great fixture in downtown Indianapolis
Great bar, makes me always feel like Im comfortable. A nice melting pot
Good place to go to after work for a drink
Low key place to enjoy beverages with friends.
Great place, and a great jukebox. Total dive in a lot of ways. We got some tasty drinks here
A great neighborhood bar, even if you dont live in the neighborhood. Im there usually twice a week. The bartenders get to know you and give great service. The beer is cold, the cocktails are great whether you are having a classic or something completely new. Dont expect frills and dont expect hype. This is just a great watering hole!
Quaint industry dive bar with craft cocktails. Youve gotta try Haleys old fashioned.
Its a good dive bar with outdoor seating. Food was good! Bathrooms are not the best, but you can kind of expect that from a dive bar I guess.
25c pool, laid back atmosphere, nice outdoor seating. Excellent bar tenders and jukebox.
Second best bar in Indy!
Indys proper dive.
Cold beers and cool vibes. Thanks Scott! ^_^
I wish I could leave no stars. What can I say, the place is filthy. The bartenders serve underage kids. There are plenty of other great dive bars. This ain’t one.
The best macaroni and cheese I have ever had. Seriously. The. Best.
This place is like if Alfalfa, Darla, and the rest of the Little Rascals gang grew up and opened a bar. Operated by hipsters. 3 different bartenders, 3 different prices, 3 same mediocre drinks. Its always a gloomy day or night inside. Home of the stainless steel jigger, I didnt know people still used jiggers but they alive and well here when making a drink... any drink.
Dorman Street is an interesting place. By all outside appearances, its a hole in the wall bar with little to offer. But, thats not really true at all. Its an eclectic place whose denizens are varied. Depending on when you come in, the place could be filled with hipsters, young professionals, artist types, older crowds, etc. The common thing between each group is that almost everyone is willing to make a new friend--the atmosphere almost demands it.It offers pool and darts which, on the weekend, are always in use. There is a jukebox that has a very diverse song collection. The one shortcoming of the jukebox is that the songs almost never get rotated. But even that somehow figures into the Dorman Street charm. There is a back patio. During the summer, it offers a nice respite from the sometimes busy indoor area and its also used by those who still indulge in smoking. The food they offer is the standard affair. Pizza and mac and cheese is what the place is known for, though Im pretty sure they cook the stuff in a toaster oven. While Dorman Street has the standard affair to offer people, its really the people that keep me going back. The diverse customers and even the awesome bar staff contribute to a fun and inclusive atmosphere.
Super lovely little place, great selection! Ill definitely be there again!
Dorman street is my go to dive bar. Has an AWESOME juke box so be sure to bring change. Good drinks and friendly staff. Service can be a bit slow sometimes but thats a dive bar for you.
Thought this would have the cozy feel of a neighborhood pub. Mostly had a divey vibe. Has a back patio.
The drinks are fine, but the place needs a makeover. The building is crumbling all around and the restrooms are disgusting
Great bartenders and cool spot. Check it out.
Dive bar full of hipsters. Its fun to stop by after doing something downtown.
Stopped in before STS9 at Murat summer 2018. Great spot
Neighborhood bar. Pool table, old fashioned juke box, good bartenders.
Great drinks and pizza :)
Easily my go-to bar. The staff is nice, helpful, and respectful. Parking is never an issue, the drinks are reasonably priced, and I never feel unsafe. People are pretty friendly but theyll leave you alone if youre not up for chatting.I live 25 minutes away in Zionsville but my boyfriend and I keep returning to this bar. We call it our home bar as it is the only one weve been to twice and we are always comfortable and happy to hang out.
Great staff and customers. Signature cocktails are really good. The late night crowd gives it a fun vibe.
Awesome neighborhood bar.
Ian is a great bartender. Best Mac & cheese Ive ever had.
Very warm neighborhood bar! No riff raff and race friendly! Black and white people fellowshiping together. I LOVE THAT! Jukebox had a variety of music. Just working class Americans enjoying social libations!
Its a decent dive bar kinda small though cheap drinks not the most visually appealing place
What more could you want for your neighborhood bar? Dorman street has it all.
Nice quiet bar to hang out with friends. Beware of the raccoon on the back patio.
I tripped on 3 hipsters on the way out.
Nice little bar with lots of table space and the most eclectic juke box selections I have come across in a long while. A well placed pool table is included with a nice beer selection coupled with some single malts to die for.
Great little neighborhood bar if a bit bare bones. Friendly and efficient bar staff always remember me and my drink preferences. They keep me coming back. Could use food though.
Friendly bartender, laid back atmosphere, Fairly chill crowd.
I love it. Quaint atmosphere. Back deck is amazing in the spring and summer though they need better lighting and cellphone charging options back there
Really friendly staff. Place was clean. Its a really nice place to grab a beer.
Perfect hole in the wall that deserves some recognition. Cocktail list was on point and the craft beer selection was surprising. Service was stellar as well (Ian will recommend just what you need) - will definitely be back!
One of my top 3 favorite bars in Indianapolis. Doesnt get crowded most nights until 10 PM or later. The bartenders are friendly and fun to talk to.
Great Bartenders! If youre looking for a classic pub thats both warm and inviting this is a great stop.
Absolutely LOVE Dorman Street. Its an incredible, lowkey bar with the best jukebox in the city. Highly recommend their cocktails, especially the Berry and Basil.Dont feel like you have to stick to Mass Ave or the stadiums to have a great drink and awesome atmosphere.
Great local tavern. Bartender was engaging. Mixed crowd from the surrounding neighborhood. Felt comfortable even though I was just visiting. Didnt sample food, saw several dishes and didnt hear any complaints. This is not a restaurant. Good selection of Beers, Ciders and alcohol.
Cozy, friendly staff.
Cavernous Neighborhood Bar it was ok, livetunes keeps it interesting, dart boards, billiards. More expensive vs. other Neighborhood bars in the area.
Awesome place!! A great way to chill and relax. The staff is great and theyre super friendly. They say their pizza is the best on the east side.
Nice place great bartenders get a good cocktail there
Ian is the best! This is such a beloved neighborhood staple. Check it out if you havent been!!
Excellent atmosphere, drinks and food. I will definitely be back!
Always a delight to go, but only every once in a while.
Just a chill place to hangout and have a drink or two. They have a pool table and a dart machine towards the back. Make sure to have cash if you are only going to have one drink. There is a $10 minimum to use a credit or debit card.
A quaint little bar with a laid-back, yet hip aesthetic. Youll find an old fashioned jukebox... No touchtunes, thankfully. Every time Ive visited the bartenders have been friendly and helpful. Their drink specials are eclectic and tasty. Their selection of sours is decent (they did have one of my favorites Monks Cafe Flemish sour ale which was a pleasant surprise). One thing to keep in mind is there is a $10 minimum for card purchases.
A nice small neighborhood spot. They have a pool table as well. I had the Billie Holiday drink and it was great.
Let us watch the season premier of Its Always Sunny while drinking Sunking Cream Ale!
Great dive bar with a jukebox, cheap pool table, darts, and a nice patio. Usually run into someone you know here.
Laid back atmosphere. Familiar faces. Not chaotic like a Mass Ave. bar.
Place looked sketchy from the outside, but inside was clean and great for a huge variety of people. We didnt know what to expect, being from out of town, but it was a great time.
Neighborhood bar that welcomes all. Excellent beer selection. 8 taps of wholesome goodness. Fantastic selection of signature drinks crafted with love.
Why is a tequila shot 6 dollars?
This place is a classic bar, with a pool table, day board, etc. A simple, regular bar like this is becoming increasingly hard to find. The prices are reasonable. The deck in the back great for the warm season.
Respectable beer selection for such a small place. Great atmosphere. Not usually too crowded. Perfect for anyone looking for a place a little out of the way and not swamped.
Always great. One of the best bars in Indy
Wonderful place. I was there for an art show. People are friendly.
Have a few drinks Sat on patio Very nice clean place
Great beers and booze. Super enjoy the patio
I love this place. Very friendly and a lot of interesting cocktails. The pineapple cider is excellent and they carry my favorite whiskey!
Nice place not too busy especially during the day very friendly and genuine staff plus ¢25 pool table
Fun local pub.
Wonderful place to relax in and have aGreat time
Always new and interesting craft beer selections and the bartenders are amazing at crafting unique cocktails. Low-key, hole in the wall vibe with darts and pool tables.
Very nice wonderful folks thanks
Enjoy stopping with friends.
Great bar tenders great atmosphere. If you liked house bar in Bloomington it will remind you of that. If you want something more quite and less of a loud club this is for you.
