So the museum itself is totally disappointing. A single room with one exhibit. We were lucky enough to have met an employee who was setting up an event in the space to explain:The museum is a part of the hotel - The Alexander. The hotel displayed some of the most interesting modern art (curated like a museum with informational placards and quotes about the pieces from the artists.)

I love that they give artists room to figure out their work in different environments. That they have a publication, fund original work and curate exhibitions with work by local and international artists makes them the coolest arts org in town.

Yep, it is actually not a habitual museum, no guidance, no fees, few things to see. It is more a rental space to exhibit young talents or something. It feels a little queer to walk in, find a single exhibition room, no staff and no instructions. If you enjoy weird experiences, it is a place to go :)

I was surprised by the lack of variety. The space seems more suited to special events rather than for anyone simply wanting to take in some art.

Not so much a museum as a single piece of art. Not a great location considering parking costs for what it is.

Quite alot of negative nellys rating the IMOCA on irrelevant things. The IMOCA used to have two locations, one in Fountain Square and one at Cityway. No, neither were huge, theyre contemporary art galleries, when are those ever huge? The fountain square location was closed when Hi-Fi expanded.Its a nice place to view the kind of art youd rarely see in Indiana, also you can park for free on the street near cityway and walk. Its not that big of a deal.I love popping in every once in awhile to take a gander at the exhibits.

Dear Newfields: please list somewhere on your website that you will close many hours early for a special event. It is highly inconsiderate and downright rude to your patrons.
