What a great experience! Loved every part. Great vibes for awkward folk.

I attended a One Night Class. This class is a great introduction to pottery, a couples activity or fun to go with girlfriends. The instructor explained the steps of creating a small bowl or cup. You are given enough clay for 3 small pieces that you can buy for $5 each after the class ends. (Not mandatory to purchase any or all) They will fire and glaze your pieces for you in 2 weeks. Its a fun environment, noone is pressuring you to make your pieces perfect. The classes are great if you are looking for an activity out of the ordinary.

This class was fun! Teacher took the time to make sure everyone had atleast one piece they were able to keep, even if you were struggling. Great way to spend a couple hours and can’t wait to try it again!

Decent price, didnt expect to pay again for final pots but they were only $5 a piece. The instructor was nice and had good explanations. The equipment worked well and there were gorgeous finished pieces to look through

The teacher was really patient and hes extremely talented with Clay. It was a fun experience and learnt a new skill.

Chris showed so much patience with our 2 hour class that hes got to be an angel or something! We had a blast learning how to work the wheel and the clay. It took me a while to find a place where you can do more than just paint a coffee mug, Im so glad this is available in Indy!

Went for a two hour class and was incredibly impressed! I couldnt have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Our teacher Chris was very calm and patient with all of us. It is very clear he is doing something he loves to do! Definitely considering taking the 8 week class after taking the beginners course. You absolutely wont be disappointed if this is something youve never done before, and is perfect for making a date night out of it!I would extremely recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new.

Try something new. Try something fun.The classes are fun and you learn a lot about different techniques for manipulating clay. It is good to get dirty and make something useful.

Our intro class was a Christmas gift and we thoroughly enjoyed this first-time experience! Our instructor Chris was knowledgeable, thorough and ran a fun class. Id recommend giving this a try!

My daughter and I had a Groupon and attended a one day beginner class. We really enjoyed our first attempt at throwing a pot. Chris, the instructor, was clear and patient. We were able to gain a very rudimentary skill level, enough to enjoy getting our hands literally dirty and to make three attempts at a decent pot. Relaxing and fun to try!

I’ve been taking 8 week classes here for over a year and a half, and I love it! Chris the instructor is really friendly and the studio offers a range of classes for everyone from beginners to the more advanced. You can also take a one night class if you just want to try it out. I highly recommend checking out the studio!

My sister in law bought me a 7 week class package. It was so frustrating how hard it was. Why did I think it would be easy? BUT! IT WAS STILL SO MUCH FUN! Chris is a very patient and mellow instructor. He never made me feel bad about my constant struggle. I did get better each class and after the 7 weeks were over I wanted to sign up for another. Its a good way to work your brain and challenge yourself. I would recommend this to non artists and artists alike. It would be a great experience for anyone.

After attending a couple of events at the clay center, I finally decided to sign up for classes. Ive been through several 8-week beginners classes, and Ive learned something each session. Whats more, there is a great community of people here learning to throw pots and always willing to help others where they can. I cant suggest this place enough for events, purchasing work of local potters, and for classes.

My wife and I used a groupon and had a great time. It really makes us both want to return and throw more clay. Employees were normal people, laid back and friendly. You could tell they didnt mind being there. If you have a chance you should do it.

I took my mom, daughter and sister here and we had a ball. Be ready to get your hands dirty and possibly everything else. The instructor was so nice and patient. It was all of our 1st times doing pottery and I will defiantly be back.

My wife and I took one of the pottery classes at the Fountain Square Clay Center several months ago and we really enjoyed ourselves. Chris, the owner, was a great teacher and his shop was really nice. These classes are great for a date night, or to try out a new art form. I was also happy to know that you can purchase studio time here to continue throwing pottery without classes, if desired. We ended up with 5 finished items that are now a fun, meaningful addition to our home decor. I would highly recommend this studio as an excursion or as a standalone pottery workspace.

Best teacher I have ever had! You quickly learn how to make very cool projects. Plus, the people in the class are great.

Did the two hour pottery class. It was a lot of fun and laid back. Very good instructor.

When I bought admission to the class it was offered at a later time in the evening, but when I booked the class they had changed their time slots, so I had the original time written down. It was 100% my mistake for not noticing, but as soon as I got the reminder email I called them to see if we could reschedule and I never got a reply. They were more than happy to take my money, but didnt have the decency to respond.

I went to pottery class for girls night out. It was so fun I took the whole family back to a class for a second night out. If you are interested in pottery or not, this is a fun day/night.

So far so good. I signed up for a 6 (or is it 8) week course and I was the only student who signed up. Chris, the owner, communicated with me and tried to work with my restrictive schedule. He ended up delaying the schedule by a couple of weeks and keeping the same time. Only 2 weeks in Chris is a great teacher. He is an expert at what he does, he tries to teach skills but also lets us mess up, experiment and frankly be slow and sloppy learners. The studio environment is chill. I am not embarrassed to be kind of bad at pottery or not be an artist.

This was pretty fun. My girlfriend wouldnt let me do the scene from Ghost though. Better luck to you.

We had a blast at a private ttudio rental with Instructor. Chris was fun and patient and mad ethe experience less stressful for participants who have never worked with clay.If you messed up, Chris never made you feel like you were dumb or didnt have any potential talent.I would recommend this to any age and hope to do it again very soon.
