Great place, been working out there for years and it provides an easy way for people just starting to get into fitness a place to exercise, while having advanced options for others. The swimming pool is fantastic too!

Great Place For The Whole Family

Place is so soft, if your trying to workout, do not go there, only have 1 bench, workers are very unfriendly except for 1 lady.

First off, when you see this YMCA the first words that come to mind for me is Money Hungry!!! Make sure that before you sign up for a membership here that you ask about all the hidden fees that they do not tell you about or explain on their website!! Make sure that if you want to cancel your membership that you are prepared to pay extra because unless you give them 30 days’ notice before the day you want to cancel, you will be paying for another month after you go into cancel your membership!!! Yet it doesnt say that anywhere on their website and no one explains that to you when you sign up for the membership!! So, even if you are moving out of town and wont be anywhere near the YMCA to use that extra month you have to pay for, you are stuck giving them free money!!!! Second, the place, in my opinion, needs to be update or better maintained because most of the time I went into the gym there were multiple machines down and they stayed that way for weeks, if not months sometimes. It seems like their weights have not been updated in years and unless you find a down time when no one is around then you usually get the choice of select equipment since there are so many people that use the gym and even the pool!! Third, overall with the way that myself and my wife were treated here and the amount of money that we have had to pay extra, I would not recommend this YMCA to anyone!!! There are a few other YMCAs that I have used that dont have all these fees, cost less, give discounts to first responders, and even treat the people that keep them in business better than this place!!!

The locker room is unsafe. Someone cut my husbands lock and stole money from his wallet right out of his locker the first time he visited. If you value your belongings and money go somewhere else. Very disappointing.

Great place to workout and take the kids swimming on weekends. Affordable for a family of five. I get to workout while my kids play various activities in the rec room or swim. Great place for the winter time blues!

I love our local YMCA especially with a new app so much helpful if something changing in a schedule or somebody subbing trainer. So many nice activity going and nice classes. Only one thing - reception people never know whats going on right now...never know when and why classes cancelled or something)

YMCA is never my top choice, I knew going in that it wasnt going to be perfect... but we have two kids and its the only place in the area with some sort of kids club... well not only is the kids club and the entire facility itself outdated and lackluster, the kids club/daycare/whatever you call it... is only open certain hours (which is normal) but you have to sign your kids up the day before...every time you want to workout... thats ridiculous... inconveniencing your customers so you can schedule your staff (which is why I was told this policy exists... so they can schedule accordingly) is rude and uncalled for... you are already limiting when we can work out... dont punish us more for having children by making us sign them up in advance... not everyone knows their schedule 12-24 hours in advance... the whole point of paying for a facility with child care is convenience. Honestly if the facility was phenomenal... which its not... I would consider dealing with the hassle of scheduling each and every work out around your ridiculous policy... but the limited equipment and obtrusive policies are offensive not only as a customer (Ive been a member at many fine fitness facilities and this is not one) but more importantly as a parent... most family fitness establishments go the extra mile to make families feel welcome and encouraged to workout... this place, I felt like I was discriminated against because I have children... horrible...

Pretty nice YMCA, well maintained, very clean I like the free weight area and the squat racks. Also love that they have a boxing bag. I hope it stays there and people take care of it. The only thing Id prefer is some extended hours on the weekend, the Erie YMCAs are open till at least 8 pm on the weekends.
