I am a member who recently visited with my son in law who had just purchased a new shotgun which he only wanted to test fire. Your Lane rentals of $20 for all day is reasonable for someone that wants to shoot all day, but I’m betting those are few and far between. Why not a reasonable hourly rate? I know they are not going to pay $20 to shoot for less than an hour and can’t afford a couples membership. Just my two cents worth. Other than that it’s a great place to shoot!

Amazing store that we love! It’s a great ice to be able to find one that perfectly suits your needs and also a great place to go out and practice your skills at the range! Here are a couple of Christmas suggestions for me!

This place has some very nice facilities, and staff that are eager to sell you stuff. I gave three stars because the whole system of customer service is flawed. I was looking at a handgun, when I asked what came in the box I was told by a sales associate that there were two magazines and a lock and a carry case. I asked to look at a different gun and was assisted by a second sales associate. I decided to buy the other gun and was assisted by yet a third sales associate. He pulled the gun out of the case in the model and caliber I had looked at before. However when I had signed all the paperwork and went to shoot at their range, I discovered only one magazine instead of two. The third person who helped me- the one who actually sold me the gun- explained that there were two packages of that gun. One with two mags and one with only one. Nobody had mentioned anything about that during the whole process. Then he acted like it wasn’t his problem. At one point he was nearly shouting at me that it was not his problem and that I would just have to figure it out because he had not personally shown me the first gun that I looked at. Not one of the three people who helped me talked to the others about what I was looking for. They switched off at seemingly random intervals and would pop in and out of the conversation at random. It made the whole process very confusing and frustrating. Not least because they acted like I magically should have known that two guns of the exact same model and caliber were sold with different packages. There was no indication that that was the case, and no one double checked that everything I wanted was in the box. Once he was shouting at me, a manager (who had been sitting nearby during the whole exchange and done nothing) finally stepped in and helped solve the problem.

I brought a team of guys from my company for an activity and we had an AMAZING time! Kourtney (and crew) took great care of us! We really appreciate the preparation and work that everyone put in to make the activity so much fun! Thank you all! I recommend going here. 5/5 for sure!

Good selection and reasonable prices. Weve purchased guns, ammo, accessories, and even a gun safe here. The best part shopping here though, is the service. Weve come in with a variety of questions over the years, and everyone - from the cashier up front, to the associate at the gun counter - has always been helpful.

I purchased a gun recently however, when I got the box home Irealized I did not receive a magazine. I went back 2 days later and with no trouble they gave me the magazine that I needed. These folks provide excellent service and have a great selection of guns and ammunition.

Great store. Great product. Great ranges. Great staff. However the way they run their ranges is less than safe. There is no one running the range and no safety officers. Very minimal safety precautions. So if you plan on going to their range be mindful, most of the safety will come from you and the others in the range with you.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Guns and Gear in the reception room. The staff there were amazing to work with. They set up the room, helped set up the food, and even ran to the store to grab a cake cutting knife for us. Cant possibly thank them enough. Amazing experience!

This is an amazing store! Well-kept, great selection, and one of the most amazing groups of people behind the counter of any other store Ive been to. Im usually there when its quite busy, but the staff never fails to give me attention and help when I need it.

Had the most amazing experience here and im not even from Idaho. Guns N Gear went above and beyond for my brothers Bachelor Party. They had the VIP room ready for us for a 2 hour time slot, had all the guns and ammo ready for us, made it super fun, and even let us stay a little after 9 PM since we werent done reminiscing with old friends. Overall great experience. I feel that prices for the range are high. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable. The in shop prices for ammo and guns are very competitive. I also love the great selection of manufacturers. Being able to shoot a rental handgun before I purchased was amazing. I certainly would have chosen differently if I was not afforded that opportunity. Overall they have been able to keep prices down and keep inventory in through the plan demic. Overall guns and gear is a great place to have in Idaho Falls.

Very awesome time. I spent about 150$ rented guns and bought ammo. My wife had never shot before and they made it a great time. They took time to answer questions and handled about 30 different firearms to feel how they felt. We rented 4 different 9mm and found 1 that we might buy soon. The best part is the employees who work there wanted to be there and did there best to help.

I recently took a private lesson in which the instructor was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and listened to all my concerns and questions. Since it was such an enjoyable experience, I purchased my first gun and signed up for the enhanced concealed weapons training class. Again, all the instructors on the range were supportive, knowledgeable, communicated clearly, and were able to offer one-on-one instruction and help when needed. In the classroom the instructors were charismatic, encouraged questions and instructed on a wide variety of topics. I would highly recommend Guns N Gear for any firearms purchase, private instruction or additional firearm training.

The customer service was incredible! The staff there was very friendly, intelligent, fun, and knowledgeable. I was able to purchase everything I needed, and they providrd expert advice. Mom and I bought both our handguns there and they were so very patient with us. Then we attended the concealed carry weapons permit course all day Saturday and that was a blast!! Brad was the man! First time gun buyer and he took care of us! Tried it seemed like 20 guns and then shot two on the range. Also found a gun lock for my grandpa’s gun for a $1 in their gear bin. Great treatment and walked out satisfied with my first gun.

Well organized and featuring a very nice selection of guns. However, every time I’ve been there I am either ignored by the staff or have one them following me around obnoxiously. This is also not the place to sell a firearm, they will lowball you every time, but you could argue that that is to be expected.

I walked in to purchase a firearm. They had what I was looking for and only made a few suggestions that weren’t trying to up sell me. They weren’t pushy and didn’t try to make me buy stuff I wasn’t ready for. I walked out with my purchase 24 minutes after walking in. I don’t have a current concealed permit so it took a little longer than it could have. Great experience and price was good.

I contacted every dealer from Ennis Montana all the way down to Provo Utah looking for 2 rifles. All the other dealers and distributors didn’t have either of the 2 rifles I was looking for. They were unhelpful in finding out if they could even order them in for me. I called Mike Loy at Guns and Gear and told him I really needed help finding a rifle. He went above and beyond and found both of them for me. Then I had to decide which one I wanted to order. He answered all of my questions about specs and helped me understand the difference between the two. I ordered my rifle and it was in the store 3 business days later. I had bought firearms before from guns and gear and had always had a great experience. The only reason I didn’t call there first this time is because they weren’t showing up as a Browning or Bergara dealer. I found out from Mike that they can find and get any brand of firearm. I will always call them first from now on for sure! I highly recommend working with guns and gear!

Super great place. Wide selection of anything and everything youd need or want. Competent staff who know what their talking about. Products come at a fair price. Fantastic facility. Probably the best range in east Idaho. The only thing that I wasnt too fond of was the cost for a range memebership. Its like half a grand for a year(for the first year, it gets a little better after that). And while I see that they are head and shoulders above other ranges, thats still a bunch of money.
