Have been a part of this league for a while now and they certainly run things differently than other leagues within our area. Players truly come first and it’s not just a sign thats hung up in the league office. Tri-Cities constantly tries to better themselves by looking at whats best for their players. They require a bit more training from coaches, but its minor if their intent is truly to be there for the kiddos. They have done their best to handle the pandemic appropriately and to the best of their ability. I check my email regularly and received numerous updates as to changes that were taking place. This fall I will have all 4 of my children signed up for baseball and softball. It’s going to be crazy, but it’s going to be fun!

I have had the honor to serve on the TriCities Board in various roles since my boys were in 5U and 3U age divisions. They are now in their last seasons of 10U and 8U and have made some great friends on their teams and across the organization. Watching this Board of volunteers help bring baseball and softball to the area is an exciting thing to watch and help make possible each season. Thank you for all you do and keep up the hard work! Good luck to everyone on this 50th Anniversary season in 2017.

Awesome experience! My daughter just completed her first season of softball. Trying it a little later than some girls. Coach Scott Walters was AMAZING! Practice was always positive with lots of instruction! She learned a ton of skills, but mostly she learned to love a new sport! Thanks Coach Scott for a great experience!

I played baseball/softball from 5 years of age until I got hurt my Sophomore year of HS. At one point, I was playing for my HS, Little League and a select team. My kids have now played in two different states and 3 different leagues. I have never seen such a pathetically run, adult ego-centered league. My 9 year old daughter was bumped up to 10U, because this league cant even get enough sign-ups to make TWO 10U teams. Our 10U team has an 8 year old, too! It doesnt take a genius to see how stacked these teams are and how little this league cares about whats ultimately best for the KIDS. Our team is aware that we are the, leftovers. The kids who were new to the league or werent good enough for one of the other hand-picked teams. Our coaches are brand new to this league and are disgusted with what theyve seen take place, as am I. Being brand new to the area, we were unaware and uninformed. We wont make the same mistake twice. This league has made my child want to quit playing softball and I cant blame her. When we show up for our league-designated practice time, TWICE now, and no one from the league has bothered to unlock our fields, its pretty clear where priorities lie. When we are notified only 2 hours before our league-designated practice time, that we dont in fact get to practice, because there will be a game played instead, its pretty clear where priorities lie. Theres not even common courtesy or a decent amount of respect for the fact that parents have work schedules, other children and lives to accommodate. What horrible things to be showing these children.I dont recommend anyone waste their time or money here. This softball league is a joke. Unless of course youre a parent living vicariously through your child and more concerned with winning than instilling a love of the game and sportsmanlike qualities in your child. If thats you, than youve found the right league!

My children have played with Tri-cities for many years. Their coaches not only teach them the game but they build character. The coaches create unity not only among the team but the parents as well.

We had very high hopes this year but, quickly realized this particular organization needs swift modifications like yesterday. Practicing 9 year olds with 11 year olds on a regular basis is not even done in a recreational league. The lack of progress in my son soon grew old. Then couple that with his frustration of playing his heart out and knowing his team doesnt have a chance. My son loves baseball and to see the game he repects so much shamed like this was beyond disappointing. We hung in with this organization as long as we could but, in the end an intervention was needed to protect the knowledge he came with. Our son has been playing travel ball with select teams since leaving and the progress is a thing of beauty. Winning isnt everything BUT, who wants to lose continually in embarrassing fashion. Lastly, when speaking with different coaches in the division they too seem to think the same about this team. Theyre not even competitive another said theyre an embarassament to the division and select ball in general. Look at current and past records for this team, non-competitive and no progession as a group. My son learned more playing in the front yard with his dad than he ever did on this so called elite and or select team. Do your research is the best advise I can give and Im confident that youll see exactly what I am advising. Good luck all!
