Cool Place..you can hike, camp and rent jet skins. While we were there, we found a quiet spot with a picnic table rite by the water. Which was really warm, with nice soft sand. My girls really had a good time here. There is so much to do..we definitely will have to come back!

Recommend? Yes if you’re in the area. The shore here has red sands. Some parts along the sands have rough branches and moss so be careful. Along the parking lot is a launch pad and across the lake is where you will find the sand. You can drive your car down to the sand on certain parts. Please just make sure your car can handle it.The water is pretty nice because it’s blue waters over red sand so it does create this pretty ombre.I wouldn’t come here just for the beach.

I went here on what would have been my sons 19th birthday. (He passed away when he was 12.) I arrived approx 1 hr before park closed for day use. The ranger at the gate told me the cost for day use pass and that there was only one hour left to use it. I explained it was worth it and told why I was there. When I went to hand her the money, she shook her head, handed me a pass, and gave me directions to where I would want to go once inside. Her kindness touched me and brought warmth to me on a difficult day. I wish that I had caught her name so that I could thank her, again, and let her know how much that simple act of kindness meant to me.Inside the park, I went to one of the incredibly soft, red sand beaches. The sun was setting. I snapped a couple of pics of sunset and walked down to waters edge. I met a group of teenagers and gave them the remainder of the glow sticks I had and headed out.As I left I concluded that the beauty and tranquility of this place was matched only by the kindness and beauty of the strangers I met here. I intend to return in the future and experience all that this park had to offer.

Highlights:- A great place to spend the day if youre in the area.- At the gate entry, ask them to point you to where you can jump off the rocks.Since we had a few extra days in Zion National Park, we decided to search around for interesting places to visit and see. We heard about Sand Hollow State Park and decided to check it out. WOW! This is definitely a great place to visit. Its almost like they have something for everyone. You can hang out and chill on the beach, rent some equipment to go into the water, ride dune buggies in the sand, and in one area, there are some rocks where you can jump off in the lake ( 15 feet). The only gripe about this place was that we went on a busy day and you can sorta smell the gas fumes from the boats in the water.Overall, if were in the area next time, I would visit again.

The sand is very soft and bright red, which adds to its beauty and charm. It is a smaller lake but big enough to boat or jet ski on. Next time I think we will bring a pop up for shade and some RC cars for the kids who arent on a paddle board or jet ski.

Great place, but what the heck is it?! I think they just dumped a ton of water in a hole and convinced people to buy boats. This place is beautiful that’s for sure. I’m giving it one star because the lake has some dangerous areas and they should have life guards around in case of an emergency, however there’s not a single one. In case of an emergency, you can certainly die at this place. About 2 weeks ago, I was there at the area behind the cliff. There’s this part that you can clearly see rocks under the water and it seems like it’s a shallow area. I sled on moss and fell on the water, and almost died. It took 3 men to try to save me. The first one wasn’t able to do it, the second was able to rescue me when I was already getting unconscious, but to take me out of the water he had to push me over the rocks, which would have been impossible for just him alone to do it. Thank God there was a gentleman standing on the rock and helped me to climb it up, otherwise I don’t know if I’d be here to write this review. I can just say those were terrible moments. It was an accident that I fell and almost drawn, however this park fails in not having prepared personal or life guards watching over for their clients. Considering the fact that they charge for people come in, they should definitely provide a safe environment to attendees.

The water is so nice! There are sandy beaches to relax on and rocks to climb. We didnt use it, but theres a launching place for boats. I would recommend bringing flotation devices for anyone who isnt a strong swimmer. There were two incidents where a friend and I had to rescue adults from drowning on their way to the island in the middle of the lake. Have fun, and be safe!

We just stopped by to look at it. From the looks of the boat trailer parking lot it must get really crowded during the summer. Its a beautiful area, I think it would be great for swimming and water sports. The day we stopped by, it was very windy so there were not so many boats out.

Beautiful. Nice beaches. Good fishing. Its almost always windy, so theres that. It can get pretty crowded so get there early to get a good spot. They say the water can make you itchy, and I think the hotter it is, the worse it becomes, so bring some good sunscreen to help protect your skin from the sun and water and bring hydrocortisone or some skin cream for rashes.

The water here is perfect for prolonged swimming! The water temperature the day we were there was 76. It was super hot outside so that was the perfect temperature to feel comfortable hanging out all day. Don’t even bother showing up without a canopy because the sun will fry you and the sand will scald the bottom of your feet without shoes. With those things, would highly recommend this reservoir.

Currently waiting, and have been for 30 minutes for a handyman to show up, he won’t be here for another hour....at 1140pm. The park power pole keeps throwing the breaker with a reverse polarity on our surge protector. It’s hot and we are so lucky we did not leave our dogs in the camper, or we wouldn’t have dogs anymore. Additionally our camper is now infested with ants thanks to this site. Swimmers itch and Cyanobacteria in the water kept us from doing anything in the lake. When I called to talk to the park staff about the electricity issue, they didn’t even say sorry....offer a refund...nothing. Stay somewhere else!
