Hurricane City Leisure & Recreation

I love the group fitness classes at Hurricane Rec! The instructors are phenomenal! Theyre so fun, easy to follow, and supportive. I have been to pretty much every class and love the variety. My favorite is High Fitness with Whitney and Ashley but all of the classes are wonderful! They make being healthy fun! I highly suggest trying the classes out and checking out the wonderful community and connections that are built in them!

We go to Peach days every year since we are locals. My sis usually rents a craft booth there. They have huge trees along a big grassy field for the vendors and the commercial and food booths get the whole street that the city closes off just for them so you can cover a lot of fun booths and activities in a short space since it is always near 100 degrees. The parade is the best one Hurricane puts on, complete with a candy cannon my kids always leave with a ton of candy. At the rec center there are many classes offered for a great price, my girls have taken dance there and the teachers are responsible and fun. A friend of mine does all the yoga and aerobics she can and loves them all. Behind the rec center is a park with a splash pad and playground and another huge grass field. The rec center was an elementary school so it has tons of classrooms in it. They just added a new scooter or skate park ramp type thing across from it along with concrete cornhole posts! There are restrooms with drinking fountains on both sides.

What a beautiful day it is, and spending time meeting new friends in the park, was wonderful.The farmers market is very nice as well. I hope Hurricane stays the same.

I love the opportunities that Hurricane City Leisure and Rec brings to our community. I am always impressed at the quality of events that are taking place.

On Friday afternoon it was closed, however we had a picnic lunch in their nice shade grove and grassy lawn area. Solid picnic tables.

I LOVE Hurricane Group Fitness. The instructors are amazing and classes are so much fun. These are a supportive group of women who help you aim at achieving YOUR personal best. My favorite classes are Barre with Julie, Dance Fit and Yoga, but Ive liked every class Ive tried.

Love Group Fitness!! Weights, mats, and other equipment are provided for you. Lots of different classes (morning & evening). I try to attend all the 9:30 morning classes! I love the variety/ mix up they have for you to choose from. The instructors are awesome, energetic and happy they make you feel accomplished and give you a good push! Thank you!

We hold The Woodshed Jam every Wednesday evening in room 127 from 7:00 till 8:30 pm. The public is invited. The facility works out well for us, and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

At the risk of ruining a great thing, Ive been going to the park here for lunch each day, enjoying my taco bell take-out at an isolated picnic table in the cool shade of the big trees. Many uncrowded, well-spaced tables and lots of shade make makes this an ideal break from the pandemic.

Beautiful museum and small water park for the kids. Great stop on the way from Lake Mead to Lake Powell

This place was wonderful. We had Thanksgiving dinner here with the family. Lots of space.

My daughter takes dance here and I really love the program. Everyone is super nice and the facillities are nice as well as clean. All the recreational programs seem pretty affordable as well.

Came here for peach days and it was definitely interesting! Would be willing to come back. Had a great time.

The secretary was very helpful and friendly. It was our first time signing our son up for sports so we didnt know what we were doing but she was just very polite and helpful!

I think are plays there are awesome and I even saw one of my freinds in one.

I LOVE TUMBLING! THE COACHES ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST AND THEY PUSH ME TO WORK HARD EVERY TIME I GO.

Its a great splash pad. Decent sized and ways the water is dispersed. The bigger playground needs to be repaired or replaced. And the benches could have some sort of.

Awesome group fitness classes for adults and kids. Also great kid sports games available, swimming lessons many available services provided inquire inside.

Great little splash pad. Careful, the concrete is slick where wet. Great place to have a little birthday party.

Cool park. Kids water feature and decent bathrooms. Covered and non covered picnic tables, grass and even some shade in spots.

This place is great for scouts. Free merit badge classes regularly held. The building appears to be an old school and every room has something going on. M

Great staff and the location is great. These people are so willing to help. I have held major events between birthday parties, biz presentations and boy scouts. All events have been so pleasant. I will use then in the future. In addition the splash pad is a huge hit with the smaller kids.

Kudos to the city of Hurricane! This was an excellent way re-purpose the old elementary school for something that can give back to the community for years to come!

A quaint little town where we are th have lunch. The people are nice but little to do there.

We love coming here for all our venues. I particularly love hurricane city myself, so everything about this place is home to me.

Nice and friendly people who work their. The play was a good play to see.

Went to see the play and musical version of ghost. It was wonderful. People had great voices but also acting skills. Plays are twice a year. It is must see.

The Hurricane Valley choir doing their Spring Concert honoring the Armed Forces was wonderful. I keep looking for whats happening in Hurrican and cant find where this event was even posted thank goodness a neighbor told me about it.

Peach shakes were great! The flies all over really sucked.

I was here for a blood drive. The Red Cross staff and the City Center staff were both very helpful.
