Their no mask, no problem policy is why I will no longer give them my business. My son and I went last night so that he could spend a gift card he received for Christmas last year. Neither employee was wearing a mask and the couple of customers I saw were not either. Not only were the employees not masked, but one of them was consistently leaning over the counter talking to us while my son was looking at items in the display case. There is a sign on the door saying “no mask, no problem.” The owner’s previous responses to negative google reviews regarding this mention that his employees are masked, but that is simply not true. A place like this is a place where germs are likely to run rampant. What a shame.

Went for the VR experience which was really cool and would recommend for sure. There wasnt a lot of Covid distancing and such going on which made me nervous for my son but otherwise pretty fun place to visit!

Had an amazing time with all the games and other customers there. The computer center was one of its kind, and playing the same games I do at home on much better systems was a cool time to have! Would come again!

If I didnt see the sign I wouldnt have thought anything of it, but promoting the pandemic just isnt for me. Perhaps if you take the sign down you could get more customers.Edit:The owner claims his policy is no different from any other store, that places like Walmart, Lowes, or any place elses is no mask, no problem. This isnt true. Theres a mandate state-wide. If there are people not enforcing the rule in places like Walmart, thats the employee not doing his job. This is a non-essential store, with a large amount of germ circulation due to the nature of an arcade. Its sad when an owner of a store cant follow simple instruction to help keep people safe. If youre so damned either way, then why not opt for the option where you promote safety? Seems to me like this place is owned by an anti-masker in hiding.I suggest staying away!

Just an awesome place with awesome old school games to jog the old memory and how to play the games from way back like punch out and donkey kong to name a few. I was so stoked to see root beer tapper. A ton of fun with a class act owner. I drove with my wife from Tullahoma Tennessee just to go to this place and the long ride was definitely worth it. If youre thinking of going here dont hesitate. You will not be disappointed in the way this business has preserved the old school way of life we had back in the 80s.

Walked in and employee behind the desk was not wearing a mask. Getting sick and joining 200,000+ dead Americans is not worth a Dreamcast game.Edit: After a month it seems the owner still allows patrons to enter without a face covering, which is a shame. Sadly I cant offer any alternatives for the arcade experience. However, for older game system I can recommend Gamers Paradise on Highway 72. All their employees wear masks and as dar as I am aware, face coverings are required in their store.

A fantastic place to spend an afternoon or even the whole day!The front of the store is your normal used game store with a great selection and clearly marked prices.The arcade museum section is the best part, after paying for an all day armband you can play any game you want as much as you want.The available games rotates throughout the year, so if you havent been by in a bit I recommend checking them out again, I know I will!

Lots of fun for all ages. All day play prices were a good deal. If youre a mom and you tell them rocket city mom theyll give you a discount. The fort battle game was fun but not worth $20 a pop. Germ x stations are needed throughout the place. Overall we enjoyed it and will be back.

Awesome selection of games, for the tiny area they have for them it was jam backed with early 2000s games of all types. The arcade was also very nice.If I wasnt 25 and it hadnt been full of kids I wouldve been all over it.

Rocket City has fun events and sales, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

This arcade is a fantastic place to go if your looking for fun. It has some of the greatest arcade games from the 80s and 90s as well as one of the best vr experiences you can try. And with a great selection of console games to play and buy, pc gaming esports, and great hospitality, this makes for one of the best places to visit in Huntsville.

Forced me to spend way to much by having some killer retro games for sale. Then twisted my arm and forces me to plan on coming back for more. All kidding aside, great store, nice staff, and awesome atmosphere. Didnt get to visit the arcade side but for afar it looked quite stacked as well.

Super cool retro arcade games, and $12 to play all day with no need to bother with tokens is a good deal. They also had current day consoles, games and VR headsets so you have many options. VR and laser tag cost extra though.

They keep the place clean and the cabinets running. VR stations are neat and well priced.However, I do not suggest buying games from them. I bought a copy of Final Fantasy VII and every disc was covered in residue - literally like a white paste. I cleaned it off and now the game will not load at all. Have not contacted them about returns, but I am disgusted and upset.

Hands down, the only place me and my family go go games, both new and old! Their selection is unbeatable and prices are unmatched. Their retro arcade consists of games/pinball games that range from the 1970s-1990s. Their VR also makes for a unique experience that no other place can match! The prices for the arcade or more than reasonable and the VR booths and Game console rooms are also fairly priced!

We had a great time playing games. I had never been to an arcade like this before. We really enjoyed seeing all the vintage games. It was like being a kid all over again. I got to introduce my son to these games he had never seen. This place was busy and I loved that we could come and go all day with our wrist bands. The is a great concept.

Booked for my daughters sixth birthday and we had a great time! We had a Stranger Things themed party and they went out of their way to work with our theme! Im an old school gamer so this place spoke my language. From Arcade style coin ops to the console games, I spent three hours here playing with my kids. Three VR rooms let us try our hand(s) at the latest gaming technology. If you are wanting to take the fun home with you, they have all kinds of retro gaming systems and games for sale. Perfect for a sunday afternoon.

Re-review. We had a wonderful time shopping for games here. Hubby found some games that he has been looking for and not able to find. The staff was extremely friendly. We did not use any of the game areas although they looked really neat the way they were set up. I apologise to the owner and staff for my initial mix up in reviews.

Fantastic place. We go there usually once a month. I play old arcade games, the wife plays pinball, and our little one goes to the console room and plays Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart with a bunch of other kids. When were done we walk right down to Three Scoops and get ice cream. Its a blast every time.

So my wife took me here as a christmas preaent and wow! This place is amazing! They offer snacks and beverages along with a few tables to sit down at. They have like every classic arcade game you can imagine. Games like Street Fighter, Mortal Combat, Frogger, Pac-Man, Asteroids, Space-Invaders, Dig Dug, Galaga, Rampage, and much much more. They offer a console room that has a NES, Super NES, N64, a GameCube, a Playstation 2, 3, and an Xbox360. They have 3 fully immersive VR stations with a list of games to choose from. Its about a dollar a minute for most payment options they offer, but its totally worth it. They even have a full PC gaming area that hosts tournaments and you can play for a seperate fee. Very nice setups with headsets, comfy gaming chairs, and flashy computers. Id highly recommend it for kids or gamers of all ages!

Friendly staff and neat place, but they do not have what I would consider good hourly rates for game play during much of the day. I took my two kids (grade school level) to play in the afternoon, and there were not many people there playing. I asked how much to play for 1 hour and was told $11 per person for a total of $33 for one hour. That’s pretty expensive for such a short play time. We left without playing. I have been here once before and it is a fun, friendly place to take kids for some classic gaming, and is a good value if you intend to play for hours, but I would suggest better rates for those looking to play for short periods of time. Hopefully ownership will take note and come up with more affordable solutions.

Pretty fun. Usually a good crowd. The cabinets are all pretty old, so sometimes the controls dont respond well. Ive gone twice, and would go again. Its a good time.

The arcade has tons of arcade games, a nice selection of pinball machines, and several VR experience games ( VR cost extra and I didnt try it.) I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, it reminded me of going to the mall and playing games in an arcade when I was a teenager, and now my teenagers have experienced what that is like.

Went here on my birthday and had a blast. Great price and you can go get food and come back because they give you a wrist band to wear for the day. 10 bucks lets you play all the arcade games you want all day long.

Had my sons 13th birthday here. So inexpensive compared to other facilities for a birthday party. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Loved the free play feature on all the games. I dont know who had more fun, the kids or the adults remembering our childhood with the retro games.

This place is awesome! So many old arcade games that were a pleasure to play. And then theres the console room that has all the different systems set up so you can play those as well. Lastly, they have games for sale too. I found a game I had been searching for for years and got it at a great price. We really loved this place and at $10 All Day Play, you really cant beat it!

To go and play video games for $11 for all day is great, but its too expensive for a birthday party. They only have 1 birthday party room. One of the employees was kind of stalking the room when it got close to the 1 hour room time being up. She was standing in the doorway watching us from 45 minutes until time was up.Their Fort battle is kind of sad. Its just 2 walls that are roped off that kids shoot at each other through. But they are not allowed to come from behind the walls. They have to shoot at each other through the wall, but basically not move.

This place is absolutely awesome! You can buy games the front, you can play fortnite themed laser tag, OR you can pay $11 and have unlimited play on arcade games from the 80s & 90s. My son and I had a blast!

A good value for the money and a good assortment of favorite classics from the last 40 years. I would say that there are a lot of cabinets that appear to have issues, and it can be quite disappointing to find out that a game you have a lot of nostalgia for doesnt work quite right. That said, there are plenty of games to distract from the ones that dont work.

This is my first time going here and I absolutely love it some of these games I remember playing with my son when he was real young brings back a lot of memories and I think its a wonderful thing that yall let people have free play..

Young and old, This place has something that everyone can enjoy playing! My 7yr old and my husband love having their father son time here.

Lots of old video games but only 4 pinball machines. By the advertisement I thought there would be more pinball. Two of the 4 were broken and when we notified the staff we were told they had been down for a while and someone was going to have to come fix them. The games looked pretty beat up for the most part but they still worked. Over all pretty pleased with the arcade part but if you want pinball. This is not the place for you.

I love having a place like this in the city. The Pooles have transformed a cool arcade, into something really special.

Pay one price and play as many arcade games as you want for a while day. You get a wristband, and as long as you have the wristband, you can come and go as you please. Its easy to get your moneys worth.

TL;DR: return policy sucks, employees give bad advice on buying consoles and testing games. Sold me a fat PS2 with a controller with a broken rumble pack. The controller violently shakes where proper controllers barely rumble. Sold a friend of mine a fighting game on PS2, it wouldnt work with my PS2. Refused to give a refund when we tried to return, claimed to test the game out and said it worked, but when we tried playing the game on a good condition PS2 slim, had the same problem. So all in all I got a PS2 that may or may not be unable to play some PS2 games within weeks of buying it, and my friend bought a disfunctional game and they refused to refund him.

Really enjoyed using the classic arcade machines here without costing a fortune in quarters!A couple of the machines were in need of repair which was a shame, but still really enjoyable.

If your an 80s or 90s kid that played games at the skating rink or mall arcade, this place is really great. It has 3 VR booths for the new generation. $11 lets you play arcade and pinball games all day on the weekends. Def going back.

Way overpriced! Don’t bother with the VR, it’s slow and doesn’t let you play long enough for the price. It’s also very uncomfortable. The staff seemed chill except for the skinny kid with the glasses that insisted on telling me how much of an idiot I was for thinking the graphics on the VR were subpar compared to the psVR. Also, it smelled like somebody pooped their pants lmao. It’s a waste of money, just play games at home.

Me and my gf went for the all day arcade and spent about 2 hours here. For the price, its a pretty cool experience. The VR and fort battle experience is much too expensive, I wouldnt recommend doing it. Everything worked properly with the exception of one of the four pinball machines and one arcade machine. This place is definitely worth a visit for the arcade, but anything else, including the merchandise, is much too expensive.

Rocket City Arcade is a proper arcade that gets you in the feels.Best retro arcade experience thus far.
