This iconic theater is one of the most exquisite examples of a 1920s theater. Inside of the theater the ceiling is an evening sky with clouds and twinkling stars. The interior looks Venetian and opulent. The lobby and entrance are architecturally beautifully original as well. This was the highlight of our trip.
Grew up in Huntington and I remember going here all the time as a kid very historical. Love this place
Overall, the Keith Albee is a vary old historical theater, and if your able to even one show I personally would recommend to see how things used to be built and loved. (P.S. and if you are in the Keith at night you’ll be scared ) several good ghost stories
A beautiful and historic theatre. Wonderful staff, lots of nearby parking, and definite ghosts in the bathroom. The perfect place to celebrate Candlenights.
My very first movie there. Little Big Man... thanks to the generous donors making it possible for all of us at the children’s center to go on weekends...
The Albee is slowly being remodeled. Saw a lot of great movies there as a youth. Still a good concert and special event venue.
The building is absolutely gorgeous, but the seating is old, falling apart, and very uncomfortable. Acoustics in the balcony area can be a bit muddy, as well.
If the Keith Albee was in a larger city it would earn only 3 stars. However, being that it is the only theatre of its kind in the Huntington area, it earns by default another star. The prices are decent and the architecture is beautiful and clearly from a different time. Unfortunately, the seats are quite small and the typical crowd and culture is lacking etiquette and some common decency. Do not be surprised to see phone screens glowing in the darkness of a top notch show/act.
Such a cool theater to see a show. We visited on Saturday night to see candlenights.
Great ambiance and decor, can see and hear well even from the top!
Beautiful! We saw Michael W. Smiths Christmas show there with the Huntington Symphony. I was taken aback, however, to see liquor for sale at a Christian artists event.
Beautiful...daughter accepted into Marshall med school...class of 2023...go Alexa! ...proud of u and school is so welcoming!!!
Saw Steve Martin and Martin Short. A great show in a classy venue. One of the nice things about the Keith is that there are no bad seats. The acoustics are fantastic even without amplification.
Theres always beautiful pieces of art performed here. Its a staple of Huntington, WV
Traveled from Cincinnati Ohio to see a concert by our favorite band Five for Fighting. We knew the venue was an older theater but never imagined the nostalgic feel this beautiful theater has. While still in need of some cosmetic improvements the theater was still just breathtaking. The sound was enormous. Everyone we met that sat around us were so kind and inviting. After the show we were given a cast party invite from a person that sat next to us. That was also a blast. If you have not seen or experienced this venue you should definitely make a stop to see a piece of Americana.
The play was wonderful. The singing, acting and comedy was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Great Performances! Wonderful night with family!! Thanks Phil
Absolutely beautiful theatre!! Love the architecture and decor.. Its like stepping back in time.
Went to Candlenights 2019 here!!! Had a great time, great venue!!!
This is one of the most beautiful buildings in Huntington... So much history. And they have wonderful concerts and plays!!
Fantastic production of Finding Neverland
I went to 6lack concert there it was the best thing I ever went to they do need to work on their lights to he changed
That was the best show! Steve Martin and Martin Short just never get old, just better.
This place is gorgeous.
Really enjoyed performing here. One of those places where you get shaky knees on stage thinking about how many great performers youve seen and how much history is held in there.
A great piece of history. Our kids get to perform there for a dance recital....big thrill for them to be on big stage.
Beautiful older theater. Not a lot of shows here except for the Marshall Artists Series, but that doesnt take away from the charm of this old historic building. Take the time to get there a couple minutes early and look around. Check out the lounges on the way to the restrooms. This place has a lot going for it if it could be utilized more often.
Historic. Beautiful. And maybe a little haunted. Its a magical place that has hosted some fantastic shows for sure.
This theater is so beautiful. Its simply gorgeous. The seats there arent the most comfortable, however, but theyre trying to get them fixed. Overall, though, the place is really amazing.
The plays are awesome and my dance classes pay off cause they let us use it for our recitles
Very intimate theater, great acoustics, well staffed, organized, great traffic lanes for drivers, good climate control... I would go again in a heartbeat...
Always bring great acts, tonight was the Bare Naked Ladies, great show
Its a grand 1920s palace of entertainment.
What an amazing venue, they just dont make places like this anymore. Its a throwback to a time when opulence was a good thing. The seating is awful, very uncomfortable.
Clean and great family atmosphere
Beautiful historic old theater still looking good at 90 years young.
