Good time. Wasnt expensive. Good place for first time Roller coaster experience. 7 year old loved it. In about 3 - 4 hrs. we did it all. Now, It is, an old park. Been around since 50s I believe. I would go again.
Family friendly fun. I have been coming here for 38 years. And is was here long before that. Fun rides, and most of them are big people friendly. The cafeteria has really good food. And have a slushie, they are great on a hot day. You can usually find discounts on the website. Their Halloween events are cool for the whole family.
My Wife and I used to take our Children to this place. They had a lot of fun in the 1990s. Now Im taking my Grandchildren here and They are having a lot of fun here. A few things have changed since then, bit I remember when ny Wife and I was here. Now that She has passed away. We are enjoying it for Her with our Grandchildren. Thank Yall for keeping this place open for all this time. GOD Bless to Yall from the Witkus Family in Kentucky.
While it may not be a full size amusement park and some things are not updated as much as I wanted, we had a great time. The rides are great and the games are old school. Its like a year round county fair. Highly recommend for a day of fun
Wow! After 35 Years havent been to Camden Park, Everything brought back Childhood Memories!! Enjoyed the Haunted Theme for Halloween at the Park, Plus Got to Spend Time w/ My Family, especially in Town again to Spend My Older Brothers B-Day, Happy B-Day Shawn!!!!! We love You.
Ummm... we drove hours to have a magical day at Camden park during quarantine. All of the websites said that they would be open but when we got there no one was there and it was closed. Do not go here. It will just disappoint you. I would have given it zero stars if possible. We were so excited and had this trip planned for weeks. I’m so utterly disappointed. I called my family sobbing in heart felt tears. I had to call my therapist to help me cope with loss of fun :( I expect free 4 passes to the park for a day. We are loyal customers and we come every summer for a fun time. Thanks a lot Camden. There is absolutely nothing else to do in this town so we had to go back home very disappointed and moped around for the rest of the day.
It is extremely going down hill year after year. Same price to get into the park but no rides. I feel Im paying for the historical being of Mr. Camdens Park. But as a local citizen we love and remember the memories.
Had a great time! The rides were great! Didnt have to wear masks, though, and there wasnt social distancing in lines.
Beautiful rides here. I had so much fun and enjoyment.
Very run down. A lot of the rides weren’t running. We took our kids on about 3 rides- definitely not worth the money. Also, they only accept cash for food ect. Most places haven’t been taking cash during the pandemic so we didn’t have any on us and couldn’t even buy a cold drink for the kids which cut our trip even shorter than it originally would have been.
Perfect for a small get away! The staff is very friendly, and drinks are very over priced, but I guess thats what youd expect for a small theme park. Will definitely go again!
I have a 7 year old with autism so this is a really great part for us to start out our adventures with everyone was very nice to park was cleaning a sanitized all the rides every time somebody touch
So much fun!! We loved the big rollercoaster and the water ride!
I love The atmosphere at this Park. I grew up going almost every year, and I took my kids there also. Fun rides.its like a oversize carnaval but with a coaster and a water ride. ( The log flume ) it also has picknick tables to bring in your own food and a put put golf course.
Love this Park, especially on Halloween! Always fun, no very long wait lines. Great friendly staff!
Camden Park has been providing a fun adventure for generations of families. It doesnt have the sparkle and glam of the modern day mega-parks, but it also doesnt have the long walk to the car or struggle to make it through the park that comes with those other attractions. This place truly makes you feel like a child going back in time and that is because it is a throwback that has not been overtaken by modern technology. The simple but effective manner in which the rides function add to the illusion. Cost can be a bit high but there are generally coupons and specials to allow folks to visit without breaking the bank.
Eventually theres going to be a front page Gazette headline containing both tragedy and The Big Dipper but until that day we will delight in the genuine fear that comes with riding it. Love The Slingshot and the carnival rides. Pronto Pups are the best unhealthy fair food ever. Halloween at Camden is a blast, thanks for more memories.
Its not that I dislike Camden Park but we bought seasonal passes and also parking passes which werent too bad price wise but I have a 13 and 14 year old and basically once youve gone a couple of times youre kind of set they got bored with it very easily. Years ago it was a fantastic place to go but its quite dirty now and kind of I really dont know the correct word just didnt feel it hes there.
Its a little run down and some of the rides were closed, but its still a fun place to take a kid.
The park is sadly outdated & could use a severe face-lift. Signs are broken for some rides. Staff was polite but that only goes so far. Slapping some paint on old structures doesnt do anything to improve the overall quality of the park.
Was cheap and fun. Small but plenty to do even though the big Dipper was down and so was the train.
K it my m not Im kj me mr be m hi mum Mom I no m but Im b in in j I
Omg I LOVE this place! I could take my babies here everyday! My baby had a blast. My other two took off and enjoyed their time as well!Definitely a kid friendly environment and you’re guaranteed to have a blast! Please do something with that diner it could be a beautiful place to sit and relax. The view was amazing, however the diner was filthy. I couldn’t allow my kids to eat in there! It’s a shame because Camden Park is definitely on my top favorite list!
Kids of all ages can have fun here.
This park is over 100 years old, so expectations about quality and aesthetic cant be high going in. Its a fun place to visit with family, especially with kids. Definitely worth a visit if you have little ones. So many fun rides here!
We love Camden park wish they would add new things tho
When drove there to go to the amusement park and when whenwent on won of the roller coaster there was painters tape holding up the wood
For the price, this is a great family day. Its fun and relaxed.
I loved it when I took my son this year!! I would recommend it to anyone that has kids, ANY AGE!! I love that they have plenty of rides for younger children because, in the past, I have taken my little boy to fairs and carnivals where he wasnt able to ride any of the rides (because he wasnt tall enough)! I would pay for a wristband so he could ride, the kid rides, all day! So, I will definitely be visiting this place in the future! The reason it didnt get a five star rating is because a few of the rides could use a little TLC!! They honestly didnt look safe for me to ride...so I would definitely not allow my child to ride!Overall though...a great place!!!
Old park but the staff is super friendly and my kids love coming here
Old school, nostalgic, aroma of yesterday. Safe, clean, well behaved well mannered customers and workers.
Loved it. Great small amusement park for younger kids!
We have visited many times over the years. Great old school family amusement park. Pretty run down with some very old rides. The lines are never very long.
Great place to bring the kids for a local day out reasonable ticket prices
The park was understaffed and not all of the rides were open.
It was so great the Raffle, Big Dipper, Haunted House, Ski Lift,Train Ride, Slingshot, Log Ride, SuperMan, Whip, Petting Zoo {You get to feed the animals}, Swan Ride, Mini Golfing, Eceadera. They rides that are amazing!!!!!!!
A great step back to my childhood. Even though its a small park you cant find rides like this in the bigger amusement parks. I absolutely love this place. I have to admit I was a little sad to find out they are talking out some of the old ride to replace them with newer ones. This is a historic park. And it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Not a terrible park but they could do so much more with it. Not many rides but good enough for younger kids
Love this place for some reason. I guess it brings out the kid in me. I love seeing how happy it makes the grand babies! The price after 5 drops in half and you get to enjoy the afternoon there without all the heat and less crowds! I cant wait for the Halloween haunted train ride!!
Brought my family here from SC and loved it.It’s a historic theme park that seems to be a cornerstone for memories in WV and because of that, anything negative can be overlooked. Fun thrill rides and short lines! We just wish they carried Adult sized colorful t-shirts instead if just kids as were fans of Fallout 76.
Pretty fun, but some rides are a little sketchy.
It was ok, I enjoyed watching my kids have fun, it was expensive for Halloween but enjoyable for the little ones, heres some pictures
Run down but still fun for young kids
Great for small kids! All the staff were polite and patient.
We payed full price and only half the rides were operational.
Outdated amusement park. But cheap, convenient entertainment nonetheless.
Outdated- path ways are very rough, paint peeling, no cc only atm, no enough people working there to run all of the rides, rides do not seem unsafe they work well, drinks are very over priced. Not all vendors take cc so take cash, we didn’t enough. The place was probably a site to see in its younger years.
Was a great get away with the hubbie.. and we had a blast on all the rides. Love the No waiting to ride but ensure was HOT..
Had a lots of childhood memories going here with my Aunt and grnadma who are now deceased. Thinking last time we went was back in 1991 or 1992. Im surprised it still even exist.
Not the same place as when I was a kid, we actually got racked with free tickets. Thank you stranger totally helped a single mom with no child support and on disability. Bless you! But my son is8 he was too tall for the kiddie rides and not ready for the dipper or coasters. 46inches to ride in kiddie land parents just a fyi
My grandbabies had a great time
My sons school went to Camden Park for a Field Trip. It was a great time! We had a blast
It was fun. It felt like going to a county fair. The rides were fun nothing special but fun. My 3 year old and 6 year old had a great time and that is all that matters. The parking is an issue, not because of the camden park facility. This issue with parking is the guest bring their huge trucks and dont know how to park them. Guest would rather give other the bird than a smile. I saw a mother of 3 flip someone off but they park too close to their car. He cursed at her in front of his kids. This is not the happiest place in the world.
We had fun. It was a family atmosphere and some of the rides could have use a fresh coat of paint, but other than that be prepared to eat some less than tasty food.
I went here as a kid on school field trips and with friends. I brought my son and was deeply saddened. The park has seen better days, thats for sure but its still open and my son enjoyed being there. It was still a good time for my wife, my son and myself. Family time enjoyed as family! I hope they can get more rides and keep the fun going for years to come.
Fun place to get out
Perfect for families with small children. Our 2.5yo loved it! No lines, great snacks, cheap, most attractions are suitable for toddlers. Very fun place for family to chill.
Nice for a local amusement park. They do have a wooden coaster that was added to a historical coaster list and their haunted house is one of the last original dark rides in the country. While youre there try a pronto pup.
Perfect for kids ten and under.
Its mostly for children. And a bit out dated but its one of the oldest parks to visit. Enjoy
Very good place for younger children. Price is fair and not too crowded.
The Park is a little out dated and in need of some paint. But the prices are budget friendly with low admissions cost and low food and beverage prices. Most importantly, young kids have a blast here and dont mind that its an old park.. A very family friendly place to visit.
A nice place for the family for a relaxing day. The lines arent long and the people are friendly. Not nearly as big as other amusement parks but just keep in mind what it is, a small amusement park with some rides and youll have fun.
Its ok for smaller kids but this place needs updated and remodeled asap, rides always breaking down if they would just invest and get some new rides and fix the ones they have Hell just repainting would go along way, its like going to a old back woods hillbilly theme park but this place really does have potential to grow just have to invest
Fabulous place for Halloween! The decorations were great. And the haunted house walkthrough was great for kids!
The staff here are extremely kind and professional. The park is awesome for kids, so much variety in rides, all the good old favorites. Top notch cant wait to go again.
Camden Park ever since i was a little kid. I grew up in wv. I love the rides that they have there. I wonder if they still have their bumper cars. If they dont have their bumper cars....,i wont be upset if they dont have bumper cars. Ill still be happy of what they got there.
A under staffed place, with only half of things like the arcade in working condition.. the roller coaster was made of actually old wood...that was moving and wobbling everywhere...scary..all the rides seemed very outdated rides in dire need of paint and sum TLC.
Been coming here for years, nice simple park to bring the kids to for a days fun. The rides are older but still fun.
Took a friends little boy this past July, he had a wonderful time, for a day trip in WV, its a good time for kids
It was a good place to go but it could of been great. The game booths werent open and neither was the toy shop. The bathrooms were disgusting and impossible to take a handicap person too. It was very hard for my 8 year old daughter to go to the bathroom
3rd time w/ my daughter. She still loves it!
Small but good selection of rides. Could maybe offer a non-rider admission discount (although I dont know of any amusement park that does). Awesome funnel cake but the wait was ridiculously long. The food service could be more efficient.
Exactly the same as when I was a kid. Only more scary. The stack of replacement lumber sitting in the middle of big Dipper gives it an extra edge of excitement!
Closed early... Kids enjoyed what little time they had
Its not as huge as some parks, but I have had so many great family memories made with my kids here. I love Camden park its cheap to get in but still lots of fun!
Its the Best Summertime Fun Place in West Virginia.
Its okay for the price but its not how it used to be when I was younger. There arent enough rides and the ones there are arent very long at all. It seems like it hasnt been kept up over the years, nor kept up with the times. The petting zoo addition is a good touch, though.
Wonderful lots of shade small enough to enjoy everything without wearing ourselves out. My grandchildren loved it and liked talking about how old it was but still working and well maintained just like grandpa.
I use to go here when i was little, im 42 now and it brings back do many Good memories. I love this place.
A lovely day trip, always exciting for any age even though one of the rides made me dizzy. Warning: if you have two grown adults sitting in the front of the log flume with no one in the back, you are going to get VERY WET! So funny! Lol
They charge so much for food and drinks but it dosnt seem like they put any of the money back into the rides! The rides are old looking and I would never take my children there unless they fix the place up a bit! Anyone that goes there please be very careful on most of the rides!
My kids loved it and it was fun family day as for rides. That is why I give it 2 stars. However, the restrooms were the filthiest that I have ever seen in my life. Most of the booths were closed and the toy store was closed which was sad bc the my daughter was too big for the kiddie rides and just to small built for the adult rides so, getting her a toy would of been nice. Then asking the help for assistance on when things open they would say, its not my department and the food in the restaurant was over priced to the point you cant afford to get anything to eat there. Coming from SC to WV to this park I am not sure if I would come back again.
Great fun for family.. My sons first time going and we cant wait to go back.
I went every year growing up in WV, it is still the same fun after 35 years... Great!
Great family place. They need some fresh paint and more rides. My kids loved it.
Lots of fun, a nice little theme park. Went for a Halloween party, had a blast.
The only problem I had was the ticket taker at Park HAD to be asked about letting me in in another way. Im in a wheel chair .the info should have been volunteered.i almost turned around and left. But my husband had to ask about another way of letting me in.
