Phase 4, 2 stage, I think this store was the last of the ‘70’s stores, it is currently the oldest Chuck E. Cheese, it opened in I think 1979, San Jose Kooser closed permanently back in august or September because of the pandemic. Kooser was the SECOND Chuck E. Cheese to open in 1978 (San Jose Winchester opened in 1977, being the first one.) Huntington Beach is still open. Hope this review is informational. :)
THE GENTLEMAN WAS VERY KIND AND THOROUGH WHO WAITED ON ME AND MY DAUGHTER.
This location is far better and cleaner than other ones nearby. However, I just wished they had better customer service.Due to the pandemic and Covid, we decided to cancel our party and ultimately, I feel that the $50 deposit should have been waived due to those circumstances. Not once was that offered nor mentioned.
Take out still avsilable they have 5$ pizzas that are good
It was very humid and sticky. The staff was good. Ticket situation needs a major adjustment and they should really wipe down all rides and games every hour with sanitizer or just spray with Lysol. And need more chuck time. And the stage show I was told only comes on for birthday parties.
Its a great fun place for kids. My 2 year old loves the rides and elevated tunnels but they have tons of video & arcade games to win tickets to redeem for prizes. Everyone is really friendly and put effort into making sure tippy have a good times. We went to a birthday party today and weve had one here and both times our experiences have been excellent.
They took away alot of the good games. The games are great but I dont agree with them letting the homeless park for weeks in their parking lot. Its not safe for all the kids that go there
My granddaughter loves this place, but they need to improve in the gifts/toys you get when turning in your tickets ..
Really nice staff. Were extremely helpful with our last minute bday party. Thank u!
Lots of great rides and new activities. It was a good time but some of the employees were young and had very rude attitudes.
I havent been here in over 4 years and the. facility was still clean, still has a playground. They have welcoming employees from all directions, whether it be the greeters, cashiers, ticket person, server, cleaning crew, chuck-e himself, the kids and us moms loved them all. Its spacious, you dont feel like youre bumping into other people while playing games, theres a lot of places to sit, but we did come during the weekday. Im not sure how packed it gets if we went during the weekend, but we enjoyed it. The kids played around all day and I felt safe letting them roam without us moms being there right beside them knowing that there wasnt going to be a way where they can escape without the worker checking their arms first. Pizza is good as always. I would recommend being on their emailing list, theres always specials that they mail out. One thing I could say is a tiny downfall is the fact that you guys dont have trash cans. I dont know if I missed it and it was around the corner somewhere, but I wanted to throw away my cup. I didnt feel as if that should be your duty to clean up my table like that, but I guess the reason why is probably because people were throwing away the pizza tray or something. I dont know. Anyways, well be back! Thank you all for your welcoming hospitality, I wished the other Chuck E. Cheeses around you were just the same!
Had my son birthday party here and had a really good time. I had it on a Thursday so it wasnt crowded at all.
Visited this chuck e cheese totally last minute this evening and enjoyed the experience. The layout of this chuck e cheese is the best Ive seen. They had a managers special we took advantage of and our daughter had plenty of fun. Would visit this location again!
Nice place to hang out. Pizzas a little too salty. Good entertainment for kids, with a lot of new games.
Great place to take the kiddies, let em run wild...and not have to clean up the mess.Woo Hoo!!
I took my nephew and little brother on a Wednesday evening. It was not crowded and to top it off they had the $14.99 Wednesday specials on gaming and fun! It gave them an hour of all they could play fun!
I like this location for the simple fact that my kids dont get sick after going here so Im happy. They need more people doing maintenance on the games and ticket counter machines but my kids always have fun here. If you go on a school day around 3, its pretty empty.
Fantastic place for kids.
Best CEC Ive been to in OC so far! Clean, great food, friendly and professional staff, large enough so that it does not too busy even when the parking lot is full.
Great spot to park
Great fun, but staff and manager on duty not very friendly
Pretty clean and no purchase of food required for entry (like a local competitor starting with J). All but one machine/ride working and occassionally a staff member comes around and gives free credits. 3yo and 1yo loved it.
So fun for the toddler group. Safe environment and pizza is not that bad.
Great place to bring the kids the stuff crust pizza was great
Pizza is great for great deal $7 pepperon
We went on a a very slow day. It was pretty easy to get an attendant if there was an issue with a game. Lots of fun games to earn those tickets. I try to encourge the kids to save their tickets so they can get that top shelf prize.
Great place to take the kids out for a great night or day out. In doors so if you have sensitive kids great place to bring them. They have a salad buffet and great pizza with much more to choose from.
A standard chuck e cheese. The staff here was very enthusiastic with the kids and parents when we were there for a party. However their pizza was on the thinner side compared to other chuck e cheese locations weve been too.I took off two stars because given its a kids gaming facility, you would expect the machines to be in working order. However, a couple of different games and several ticket counting machines were out of order.
Kids always have a good time and the coupons make it not so expensive if you are just there for the games
I took my kids here and its not as up to date as other amusement type places and the energy is a bit low, but my kids had a great time. My daughter (5) and my son (9) had lots of fun things to do. My older daughter (12) was a bit too old for this place. The arcade games are inexpensive. Everything is priced at 1 token per play and its roughly $35 for 140 plays. They also have hourly play also. The pizza has come a long way and is quite better than it used to be many years ago. All the redemption prizes and be purchased with cash which is also a big plus. The highest ticket redemption prize was marked at 6,000 tickets which means you could take it home for $60 if you had no tickets to put towards it. Every hour or so, the mascot walks around and brings all the kids and does a dance with them and interacts with them which is great. They toss out free tickets and you can take pictures with them which is nice. Whoever is in that suit does a great job and I appreciate their enthusiasm for the character. Lastly, when you first enter, they stamp your hand and your childrens hands to make sure youre leaving with the appropriate child. This added safety is quite a nice feature.
Havent been to Chuck-E-Cheese in over 5 years. The games are great and all but the staff is not so friendly. I didnt know how the new system worked and asked the staff to explain it and she rolled her eyes and just looked away. She still didnt explain it to me. So i just ordered and started playing with my niece.
I only saw two of the employees really working, all the others were just fooling around with grumpy faces, not helpful at all. Very dirty bathrooms., Very nasty and smelly carpey. Not the Chuck e. Cheese Westminster that used to be.
I have a toddler so shes happy when we go even just for 30mins and that new feature of adding unlimited attractions for time limit works great for us. Never had any issues and they keep it pretty clean.
Just live this location as it is never too too crowded and pleasant employees, especially Fernando. He made sure we had the best purchase for our large family of 12 tonight. Thank You again Fernando and the staff at the Huntington Beach location.
It is the best place for kids to play so you dont need to buy tokens anymore they give like a debit card to use on all the little amusement machines.
Its cute its fun for kids I just dislike I lost my phone and it took so many rerouting machines to be able to get a hold of a live person
VERY FUN AND FOOD SO GOOD
This place has gone to shambles Pizza tastes like rubber and it took almost an hour and a half for us to get our order I wont be going back
I really like this place but I really wish the employees were friendlier and more helpful. I guess working at a place like this doesnt make people happy. I dont know. They just need an overhaul on their customer service. And I miss the tokens.
Way better pizza and as an adult you can have fun. Grab a beer while youre at it
Better than I thought it would be for kids
I love the Westminster location. The people working are on top of everything and they do their best to assist you. They are often understaffed, which hinders the experience a bit
To many employees at counter but only 1 older female was helping customers. The restroom was horribly dirty that I immediately walked right out. Food was fantastic and the young men at the entrance had such amazing customer service. The location is too hidden. But 1 did enjoy the fact that there was not a lot of people.
My niece had her little 4th birthday party here. Do not book on a Saturday or Sunday. Its too crowded. I suggest an after school party because youre limited on guests and you can save money since the guest list could be slimmer to that of a weekend. I also suggest cupcakes for birthdays instead of cakes. This place does not have cake knives and proper cake serving utensils. They only have plastic knives which made the cuts bad and ruined the cake. Other than that, borrow one of the kids game cards and have it it with the unlimited games for your session. Their pizza is also pretty good. It has come a long way since the 90s.
Great for young kids. A bit hectic for adults. Plan to spend lots of money.
They have changed from .25 or 1 token per game to cards and apoints system per game now. That was disappointing. I always felt this was the only place that you actually got your monies worth as far as playing games. The pizza and salad bar where great...until...I kept seeing a little boy walk up to the salad bar to grab things with his hands and eat it. Then he puts his fingers in the dressing and shoves both fingers in his mouth licking off the dressing! There was staff right there but they were preoccupied with other work. I always got the salad bar whenever we went but that is ruined now, never again.
This has been by far the worst experience I’ve had visiting a Chuck E Cheese Location. I must say I visit Chuck E Cheese very frequently sometimes up to three times a week spending no less than 50$ per visit. I wouldn’t rate this location with no stars quite whatsoever they don’t deserve not one single star! Not only is the cleanliness of this place horrible so are the employees! I have never in my life felt so discussed and disrespected like today! I’d like to speak to higher personnel ASAP !
It was very fun and the workers were very nice
Best Chuck E Cheese location Ive been to. Place is clean and spacious. Service is good although it does take a while for your pizza to come out. Plenty of tables even a playground with a slide. And you can always get coupons online that make worth your while.
Clean friendly great time killer
They got more new games which is nice
Another great location with friendly and helpful staff
One of the better CEC places, clean and friendly staff.
I enjoy coming to this Chucky Chesse. Staff is always attentive and kind. Thank you for helping me set up and making sure my party was good at all times
Great Chuck E Cheese location
We went so our kids could have some fun on a cloudy day. We had the typical chuck e cheese experience. I was less than impressed with staff. We had to sit for over 5 mins at the front to get im as the one staff manning the check in was walking around with Chuck. We asked several times to have a game looked at as it kept messing up and staff didnt seem to care. The person at the prize desk rushed to get our kids their stuff so she could get back to sitting down. If this is how this store is normally run i am not surprised at how few people visit like were there that day.
Need more staff but overall its real nice
This is a tired place. Seemed neat when my kids were little, but know its old hat. Nothing much has changed.
Pizza is great.... games are good and updated... can get pricey... I would recommend getting Unlimited gameplay as opposed to tokens...
Theyre machines never work or never have tickets!
A place for kids obviously. It is loud, the food is acceptable, and the kids will have fun. You can easily spend over $100 in 2 hours for a dinner for 4 (2 kids) along with all the games they want to play.
Fun for the kids, a beer for me.
Always Love The Pizza...
Remember to bring coupons to get the best deal. Weekends can be quite busy. I went opening time on a weekday. Most of the machines worked and I was able to meet Chuck e cheese the mouse.
Good because the kids can get out and you can see them from almost anywhere inside. But a lot of the games are broken or have issues and the food isnt very good.
Wasnt overcrowded very cool environment.
Place was clean, organized and a lot of fun. Staff caring and engaging.
Kids love it. Staff was great
Good food, great place to take your kids, to have birthday parties at. Lots of games were you play to get game tickets, later to be redeemed for various prizes. Lots of fun.
Expensive but kids had fun
I was there good place to have fun with kids
Check E. Cheese has really gone down hill. Its always packed. The lunch buffet is terrible. They dont have variety of pizza/salad like advertised. The employees are overworked underpaid teenagers who dont care.
Would give a negative 5 star if it would allow me to. Waited in line just to order food and get play card for over 30 minutes. Asked to speak to a manager and was laughed at. Went to find an employee to get some service and they said we are attending to a birthday party right now, someone will be with you as soon as they can. Then took another 15 minutes to get helped. Finally got help and bought a salad bar but the salad bar was empty: no dressing, no lettuce, no ham, nothing but the scraps. Not to mention it took another 30 minutes just to get the food we ordered. No tables were cleaned off and the place was filthy. Worst visit Ive ever had at this location.
Really expensive place we spent over $100 and they offer you a side of chicken when you get a salad bar plate I said yes 2.29 sure they gave me like 8 small little pieces not worth it.
I like this church e cheese location. It is always clean and the times I come with my children, its not crowded. So my children have a good time running around playing the different games and playing on the little play area they have. As far as the food the pizza, they have some good tasting pizza
Remodeled nicely. Good selection of rides, games for 3 to 5 yr olds. Very diligent about their security. Clean bathrooms! And the pizza was way better than I remember!! The lunch buffet of all u can eat salad, pizza, & a drink is the best deal!
Its a fun place as expected. The problem lies in the cleanliness of the place. Dont expect to be clean as you walk in. Other than that, it should be enough for the kids to be entertained.
Games here are pretty meh... the real 5 stars here are the cuisine and staff. Wish star scale went higher. Another job well done
Its Chuck e cheese. Kids love it. Food is okay. They serve beer. They do a good job at this location.
Very busy, fairly typical Chucky Cheese. Food is low quality, but there is an arcade geared towards younger kids. There are still some games like basketball hoops for older kids and adults, but their sweet spot is probably 4-10 years old. For the mob of kids it was reasonably clean, but some of the games were malfunctioning.
Had my daughters birthday party here and I went over the party package I got 3 times, they forgot the balloon bouquet, when it was time for cake they passed out the cake and then left the rest on the stage. Everyone wanted to act friendly until you asked for something then it was let me call this person, let me call that person nobody wanted to take responsibility for their actions. I think the person we had was new. We finally got the cake paid the bill and just left. Not happy at all.
Upgraded to play by points or play by hours with unlimited points. I love the new set-up with the cards.
Great place, friendly staff
Great place! The only Chuck E Cheese that still has a play house tunnel. Cerritos and Lakewood dont have this. Kids love it and is the only thing that is free to play on. Staff is also nice and house keeping is great.
Came to eat the lunch buffet and the manager Candice did a tremendous job in helping our party and making us feel comfortable. The place is clean, staff is friendly and the kids had lots of fun. This is my new go to place.
Great employees, great atmosphere. Well maintained
Separate toddler area. Large and clean. Machines more maintained. Better than any other Chuck E. Cheese in the area.
Fun, lots of entertainment for kids and great pizza and price for tokens. Havent been here in ages and I totally love how they changed it into a play card instead of tokens.
Was very fun. They had a great $14.99 deal where you can play unlimited amount of games within 1 hour. The bummer is though that sometimes it lets you swipe two different games and majority of the time you have to wait for one game to end before swiping it again.I bought their groupon deal of pay $5 and get $10 worth of plays.
Josie best customer service
Great games, cheaper game comparing to Dave & Busters Arcade place. Reasonable price. Pays a penny per ticket if you dont have enough tickets to claim your price. Kids happy = happy parent.
The kids had a great time we got a play card for an hour which is unlimited games for that whole hour and they were able to win almost 2000 tickets from those games and even though the prizes are not that great just the fact that they had so many tickets was amazing to them so the smiles on their faces made it worth every single penny we spent which was $30 for 2 one hour play passes. There are always online coupons for deals at Chuck E Cheese otherwise I believe it was $20 for each pass for an hour.
A lot for the young ones to do. Good variety of games. Food has greatly improved. Would have given five stars if it wasnt so expensive. You can get coupons on line that are a better deal than the ones inside.
