Rooms were not cleaned very well.Furnishings were extremely wore. Floors were not moped or cleaned during my stay. There was no ocean view.

Scammers! Do not stay here! They are rude! And non professional! They said I caused this damage from leaking water from a shower! Impossible! Even if water leaked if I did that off of one shower they need to shut this place down! Do not stay here do not! It stinks it’s dirty ! They have dirty towels! Don’t stay! They ask for a 200$ deposit not worth it and then scam you and say you caused damages! Had to file a claim to get my money back. Very sad

Beautiful area. Extremely close to the beach. Decent price at first but every night that we added on after the initial booked stay they kept raising the price as if to make us want to leave. But in the same little area there are a few nice places to stay.

Absolutely disgusting and terrible service. Complete rip off. I tried to cancel my room and they refused to give any money back. I ended up leaving without a refund and paid to stay somewhere else. The ocean is also a long walk away once you get around the privacy wall. Do not waste your money.

Not sure why it had so many bad reviews, but for a 2 star motel it was more than adequate. They wait for you to leave to clean the rooms, mini fridge, decent tv lots of channels, small but clean bathroom, toiletries, microwave, building has an elevator. I stayed several nights, place is great for the price, recommend.

I loved the location! Walk to the beach. Could see the sunset from balcony.

This place advertised a jetted tub, but the tub had either mildew stains or water residue on the tub. It was a brown color and most disgusting was a hair still in the tub. Room was $256 for the night and I expected it to at least be super clean. Lights flickered and sounded like it was going to have a shortage. I expect this from a $60 room which is all I should have paid for this room.

Too bad you have to leave a star. This place is not as advertised. Aside from that, they stole my girls iPad out of the room when we left for. Now I know why they were watching us. Too bad for them, its a secured device with tracking. When she reported it missing, that blamed her, said she misplaced it. After they found out the sensitive nature of the device, they told her they found it. Lol! Found it alright. The device tracker has them dead to rights. And its all documented. Law enforcement is aware.Stay away!

The room was filthy. There were hairs, pubic and head hairs in the bathtub. The floor was very dirty. The room was very outdated and tore up. The management was rude and smelled horrible. We were in the room for less than a hour on a two night stay and had to leave due to the cleanliness of the room. Asked for a refund and was denied any part of my $350 room fee or the $200 deposit. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ocean View Motel. Upon checking in, the women and her daughter at the front desk were very nice and friendly.

The bed was comfortable. The room was very noisy. The door did not seal well and allowed the pacific Coast hwy noise to fill the room. The window hvac unit was also very noisy. The manager was rude and unhelpful. Room was advertised with a bath but no plug and manager forbade us to take a bath. Two loud incidents in the parking lot in first 5 mins. After arrival.

We had an amazing dinner at the restaurant. We got there early and were told they could seat us immediately but we didn’t like the table.

This place was cheap for the night but u get what u pay for. They held $200 for deposit. The room was ugly and not as clean as it should have been. Hairs in the sink and dirty floors. I bleached and sprayed everything down my self. Would not recommend this place

First of all, name is misleading, it’s three blocks from the ocean, all you can see is the highway and houses. They marketed it on purpose like that, don’t waste your money.The people who run this place are actually vile. I’ve never met such disrespectful “managers” in my life.There’s 4 other hotels in the area at the same price range, literally go with any of those.

For the price, the location is epic! On PCH in Sunset/Huntington Beach, 250 yards from Seal Beach. ON PCH, Huntington Harbor on one side, the beach on the other. Family owned and operated too!

Great location. Very clean. Strong Wi-Fi, many, many electrical outlets. Samsung HDTV, full Spectrum channel selection. Short walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Excellent walk-to take out (and sit down) restaurants nearby.

Please do yourself a favor and book another place to stay! This motel is disgusting. The rooms look nothing like the pictures. There is no ocean view! There Is no customer service what so ever. Not even a smile upon checking in. Do not think of checking in early, there is a sixty dollar charge. The rooms are extremely out dated and dirty. The beds are hard and disgusting. The first thing we did was run to the CVS down the street and purchase blankets and candles to get rid of the smell. This motel is extremely loud! If you have trouble sleeping you will not sleep at all. We stayed during a weekend and Saturday night was awful. It seemed like there were people actually living at this motel full time. Saturday night everyone was out yelling and being disorderly all night long. I had to leave my teenage daughter while I ran to CVS. She called me to tell me there was extremely shady stuff going on outside the door. All which she did record. This place does not have any good reviews for a reason! Travelocity should not be offering this property! They do take two hundred dollar deposit as well when you check in!!! Stay anywhere but here!

HORRIBLE experience. Room is full of fumes from whatever cleaning product they are using then refused to give me a refund, taking my money and making me get a hotel at night. DO NOT COME HERE! Evil front desk woman who will curse at you and lie that she doesnt smell anything which is probably true because shes used to inhaling chemical fumes...who treats a customer that way? This place ripped me off $44 for the deposit front of light fixture that was missing a screw they said that I had broken when they have to find the intent first and I told him you just cant keep my money its a civil get to take me to small claims and then the judge decides what you take or what you give me but now you decided to step over that line Im a reverse it on you Im going to get you for theft itll be a misdemeanor but its just it shows it just your integrity as soon as when nobodys looking and its not even if its not even about right or wrong its the principle of Truth theres two sides to every story you have you have to let go of something your task before you can grab something to your future

Got a queen bed room, wasnt too expensive. Was 150 us dollars. Room is standard, bed is comfy. The tv was quite small. Has a fridge and microwave & coffee maker. The bathroom though, thats what makes this room a good room. Its really big and has closet space to hang up your clothes. The mirror is big. The bathtub is cool. Its like the ad says, its a whirlpool tub. Plus its right by the beach which makes it really convenient.The lady at the front desk had a righteous attitude. She didnt scan my card correctly and we ended up having to pay a 200 dollar deposit on the room. We were reassured wed get our money back when we check out but it was kind of worrisome to me. And when we checked out we had to wait for the lady at the desk to deal with the elevator not working & the maid service. But this friendly old man checked us out no problem. He wad nice.Also, you can hear the cars a little but not that much. Its the same as in any city. Also there was a smoke detector in the room that kept making a loud noise every once in a while which was bothersome and we can hear the people upstairs walking around.But! Even though I gave a poor rating, this motel was not too bad considering & its just a standard room to sleep in. So if you dont wanna spend too much money and youre only looking to have a place to sleep & have a nice bath come here. Its not that bad. I rather enjoyed my time here with my significant other. Wish we spent one more night here but! LA is very big and that would have been inconvenient considering we went the opposite direction where we were.

This Motel is very convienently located. It does not have an Ocean View like the name suggests but it is located within a 3 minute walking distance from Sunset Beach. It also came with a mni fridge and microwave asbwell as basic ammenities and a makeup removing wipe which is above and beyond to me, i just dont see any other motels offering makeup remover period. Anyways there are 2 other motels to the left of The Ocean View and just past the second motel there is a sushi restaurant that is to die for. Diamon Yajimbo is s delicious and we just so happened to stumble upon it on our way to the beach. It doesnt look like much from the outside but after reading great reviews online we decided to give it a try and I still cant stop talking about it. We got the full experience and tried the Tappan. And the mixed drinks were beyond satisfactory. I would definitly hire the bartender for my own bartending business if he lived in my area. He made me two Mai Tais that i requested to have with cocnut rum and both were consistant in taste. I will definitly stay in the area again on vacation just to visit the Japanese restaurant and also to compare this Motel to the other two just next door to it.

The only thing I liked about this property was that it was in about the location we wanted to be. The pictures online displayed a small walk to the ocean and the sand. It showed an ocean view from a hotel room, that either didn’t belong to this hotel or was severely outdated. It wasn’t at all what we wanted. Very small room, and wish we would have paid a little extra for a different hotel. The front desk lady was rude and was more involved with her personal phone conversation that checking me in. Not happy at all. Shouldn’t falsely advertise your location as Beach front with a picture that even depicts that fantasy, but doesn’t actually have it. Very unhappy with our stay!

Place is a scam!!!! They advertise one thing but give you something else completely different...I cant give this place 0 stars, otherwise I would, the woman that checked me in was very rude gave a receipt on a hand written paper. Upon entering my room the immediate smell of mold and other unidentified smell filled the room.I asked for a refund for the room due to finding a bed bug on my bed.The owner refused to give me a refund saying that I, myself, brought in the bed bug. The owner argued that the video I took of the bed bug on the bed linen was not of his linen. He was very rude, with zero customer service skills.He did offer to give me another room and I could inspect it inside out before agreeing to stay. Mind you, I would have to either stay in the room clean or not, or be out $348 for the two nights I booked. I watched as he took all the bed linen off, showing me that there were no bed bugs. He lifted the mattress and box springs and I inspected it to make sure there were no bed bugs. He did put new linen on the bed, and I reluctantly decided to stay since I didnt want to be out my money.Overall, I had such a bad experience I decided to check out after only 1 night and count my loss on the second night. $57/night for an extra car is straight up robbery as they can even manage to use that money to have descent rooms that dont smell of mold. Bad customer service, horrible rooms, and expensive prices are not worth anyone spending their money on this place.

I stayed on the top floor and had a little view of the ocean. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean, had a refrigerator and coffee maker. I dont go to California very much but I enjoyed every single minute of my stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in the Huntington Beach area!!

Service was unfriendly on the phone and in person. Phone lady especially hard to understand.Room was a place to hang your hat only, but all the roses were lovely.I especially did not like what the man said to me when Id asked for extra blanket. Id said I could carry it. He told me no and the staff would deliver it. I then said it wasnt necessary, trying to save someone the trouble, since we were leaving for a while, we didnt want someone in our room. Mind you, we had nothing illegal. He then said, we have a right to inspect the room any time!I didnt ask for an inspection or the 3rd degree, just a blanket!

HORRIBLE STAFF. While attempting to check in, the horrid woman at the front desk asked for sensitive information, my social security number. When I asked if she needed my mother’s maiden name as well she started pointing her finger in my face and yelling in broken English. I found better accommodations elsewhere. Total scam artists running the place, and with such a cheap, run-down looking property.

Its basic as basic could be. Its not gross or dirty, but needs renovations bad. Peeling paint chips, no outlets by the bed. The staff seems a little off, but that might be a language and culture separation.

Great price, great location. Honestly Ive paid much more for higher end hotels that didnt even have half of the amenities that this place has. I give 4 stars. Loved the service, loved the room, loved the atmosphere. Only problem I see is not enough parking and that its on a dangerous highway which makes it hard to turn in to the parking lot.

The motel reviews were not very good but I try them out anyways. The owners of the hotel have been taking a beating more than once they constantly work, maintaining cleaning, and trying to provide the best quality service that a person can get! We must remember now there are complainers everywhere and you cant be happy one hundred percent of the time but I think you should give it a try the downside to this place is there is not very much within walking distance you need to get in your car to go have something to eat theres no room service its just a no-nonsense motel

I spent the night in a friends room because my boyfriend had gotten our room and then fell asleep in it before he had given me the room number. In the morning my boyfriend who was only 2 doors down found me and was getting ready to pay for another night after getting money from me. I had my service dogs with me. The manager, the woman, saw my service dogs and said I had to leave immediately and said that my boyfriend and I could not get another night even though there were no problems that night with either of us in either room. I told her it was illegal to kick us out because of my service animals. She said they had no rooms available even though they clearly did and I had a reservation that I had made the night before. She said it was cancelled and they were now booked and to leave immediately. I will be filing a federal discrimination lawsuit against them promptly.

I wish my family never would have stayed here my wife got bit by a bug and it looks like bug bites from bed Bugs We were told that they were like suits style rooms and when we get here theres only 2 full size beds a frigerator that is half the size of a dorm fridge or Mini fridge and we have to keep a suitcase propped up against it so it doesnt stay open it said they had a Pool and garden size bath tub which it does not I spent $750 for 3 nights and when we got here they said we had to put it $200 deposit down that can take 5 days I mean 5 business to get the refund ON we were told that it had a kitchenette my family plan on cooking in the room to save on the vacation budget and of course it did not. And when I went and talked to the management they told me we brought the bugs in to their facility when we have only been here for 3 hours sense 3 oclock this afternoon and now it is one oclock in the morning and I have been on the phone what the booking agency and dealing with management and nobody cares All they could say is we dont careIm giving it one star because I cant give it no stars

Checking in was a negative. Lady at the counter was not very friendly or cordial...just shy of rude! I arrived early(2:30) so I could get a room away form the elevator or stairs as Im a light sleeper and hear everything. Of course she put me almost directly across from the elevator and would not look for another room saying there was no more rooms similar. She didnt try looking for another room and said it was a quiet room, end of conversation. The whole conversation was not what I would say was customer service orientated. Big negative here. Cannot recommend this place to anyone!

Worst hotel experience of my life. I originally booked this hotel because it advertised that parking was free. Upon checking in I was informed they were charging me $30 per night for parking. I wanted to cancel my reservation, but after three hours of arguing they refused and since there is no street parking available any where close I was forced to concede and stay here. During my three hour argument with the front desk, several people came in with issues about their reservation or room. The employees were extremely rude and unwilling to help or accommodate any requests or issues. I dont know how people can run such an unjust business and live with themselves. Awful hotel, horrible employees and overall just terrible people running this hotel. Save yourself the headache and stay away from this hotel. Sleeping in your car on a hot summer night crammed with six other people would be a better option and a more pleasant experience than staying at this hotel

I was nervous that this hotel would not be clean or in a bad area because it was such a good deal. We were SO happy to find a clean hotel, with lovely staff (Rose was a smiling wonder!), and very close to the beach. It is older with the very basic creature comforts (I had to ask for the hair dryer, but they had it, thank goodness!) We had a blast with our kids and fell in love with Huntington Beach all over again as I grew up there.

It does have an Ocean view if your on the third floor and look between the houses. But one star because its NASTY IN THE ROOMS they must have taken pictures when it was brand new or remodeled. The beds are really firm and the sheets are like 100 thread count. Our room did have a microwave and mini fridge. I really hope I didnt get bed bugs but time will tell

The management is horribly rude & extremely lazy. Said they didnt have an extra pillow (what kind of hotel or motel doesnt have extra pillows?). Also the lady was very reluctant to give me new batteries for the remote; she kind of treated me like i was trying to scam her out of them or something. I definitely do not recommend this dump. Id give it zero stars if that were an option

From the rude staff who cant speak English nor have any customer service skills whatsoever to random local teenagers rooming there for god knows what! It was a nightmare . Very secure place,quiet & quaint. Different types of rooms(giant tub/Jacuzzi)with basic amenities-cable,Wi-Fi and mini fridge and microwaves. Nice place to get away but still be close home.

Called in advance to advise of service dogs and that wouldnt be a problem so I booked it and he was kind enough when I arrived at 11 p.m. with my senior mother to refund my money and let me go somewhere else with this service dog. I too am disabled.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Do NOT waste your time even looking at this place! I have tried to stay here on 2 separate occasions, and BOTH were terrible! The lady at the front was probably the rudest person I have ever encountered! The first time (3 years ago) I was traveling with my service dog, and they literally yelled at me to get off their property. The second time, a few days ago, it was me and my husband, we were checking in and paid for a room BEFORE she told me she was about to charge my card $200 for a security deposit in case we smoked in the room! Well, I needed enough money to drive back home to Denver and the deposit would not have let me do that as they would hold the deposit for 5 days. After telling the lady to refund my card for the room she tried to refuse. And continued to be rude about it until she finally did and we left. Never again!!! Found a MUCH better, cleaner, and nicer hotel about 3 minutes away.

This place is definitely in need of some work. Its great for a pit stop but I would not spend more than one night here. The proximity to the beach and some great local restaurants was great. But the interior was a little worn. Towels had stains, there no amenities (i.e. pool, vending machine, eaterie) no stopper for the bath ( I had a child although in retrospect, bath was not advised) lights didnt work near the bed, so we could only use the blue florescent overhead light or nothing. Positive, the floors were laminate and not icky carpet. Close to the beach. Rate was cheap
