Great for long bike rides and walks without facing traffic. Think there are homeless there? Maybe. Thank your lucky stars youre not in LA county riverbank parks.
The HB bike trail is a lively, energetic, and scenic place to ride your bike or e-scooter. The trail is mostly flat so its a great place for young children as well, training wheels or not. Plus, there are lots of restrooms along the way as well as restaurants and bike rental shops. During the fall & winter, it gets very windy so proper gear & clothing is a must.
The SNART is critical for getting quickly (bike or run) to the beach and avoiding trying to find a place to park. HOWEVER, I am really looking forward to the day when the trail is beautified with vegetation or a coffee stand . The wastewater treatment smell can be a bit overbearing - otherwise love the SNART!
My favorite spot ️
Easy bike access, clean surf & pet friendly.
Very nice soft waves perfect 4 kids
Beautiful, clear waters. Great spot for surfers.
Beautiful scenery and clean beach. Alot of sea shells
Beautiful family and friends grandson and granddaughter ️
Awesome trail from Corona/ Yorba Linda all the way to Huntington Beach. Trash bins are available almost where you need. Yorba Regional Park is the best maintained park on the trail. Couple of rest stops between Angeles Stadium and beach. Good that there are cops patrolling the underpass in Orange-Santa Ana area. We rode on Sept 2nd 2018 for 1st time and Trail is very inviting to ride. Some stretches don’t have much trees but wherever there are Eucalyptus trees, air feels breathier. Cities need such good trail systems. Thanks to LA county/ Orange County.
Top Ten OC Deadliest River
$15 entry very worth it. Bathrooms and showers are near theres also a long pavement leading to the beach so you dont have to struggle pushing your stuff a long way.
Pretty view lots of people
Clean and safe place to go for a bike ride
Nice place to hind out at the beach
Nice Beach to visit, get some sun and swim.
My favorite trail to take long bike rides and enjoy the scenery without the interruption of cars and traffic. They are dedicated bike lanes, so dont worry about cars or even pedestrians as the trail is very wide. It is a gradual downhill with headwind (if no stronger winds that day) going to the beach and a gradual uphill with tailwind coming back from the beach, so they cancel out very nicely.
Great place to go for a walk to the beach. Just be mindful of your surrounding if you go by yourself after the sunset.
Always a great place to be no matter what the season. Parking at the state beach is $15 a day in the summer season and I think $10 in the winter. Summers are hectic for parking and you need to get here early on the weekend or the parking lot will be full and the entrances closed.
Its been cleaned up and the trail is in great shape
Great view shallow water
Never closed during the crisis but very crowded on the weekends
Great place to visit
Windy. A lot of tree roots. At least one tight turn in the Yorba Linda construction area.
It was a cool morning for a bike ride to the beach
Beautiful area, but the water was pretty cool and definitely rough with lots of breaking waves. It wasnt overly crowded, and parking was convenient.
Bike trails (Santa Ana river trails and PCH boardwalk) meet here on the HB side.Newport Beach is on the other side of the river. You can get there by going up to PCH and going over the river mouth on the bridge. You can stay on PCH (where the road bike riders ride) or cut through one of the wall openings (for pedestrians), make your way towards the road(s) closest to the beach (youre not far) and ride until you hit Newport Beach Pier or Balboa Pier on the Balboa Peninsula. If you stay on PCH instead of cutting through the wall, you can continue further south to Corona del Mar (youll be passing by Fashion Island, and Balboa Island, and Newport Back Bay) on to Laguna Beach and Dana Point. Once you pass CDM, retail places get a little thin in spots but there are parks to stop at and use the bathroom at Main Beach (Laguna)(youll probably pass it, its at the main lifeguard building, on the north end of Main Beach, tucked in at the bottom of the bluffs right after PCH dips), Aliso Beach (where PCH also dips as it goes over a creek. The bathroom is on the south side, as PCH rises), and Doheney Beach (Bathrooms that are easy to get to are right after the last DP harbor entrance, turn into the park before the pedestrian bridge across from the Dennys... good luck finding your way South from here... its shorter, but can be confusing)... dont try to get on the freeway if youre on PCH. Doheney Park road (on the right) is your friend, until you pass the railroad tracks and PCH joins back up with your path south.
My daughter and I went to Coastal Jam in Huntingdon beach. What a great time we had...Tim Mcgraw was the headliner...he was fantastic. To see him in that kind if venue was great. The weather was so perfect...the people ( not the drunk ones lol ) were a lot of fun. Now its off to see my next bucket list concert, jam...
Foggy this morning
Great paved trail for biking or walking.
I love salt water, and sand!!
Nice waves
Beautiful place
Just reopened after being closed to clean out the tent City. wonderful now. I dont have to dodge tweekers on the trail and can feel safe bringing my family to ride to the beach. thanks to City officials and law enforcement for making this trail usable again.
Extra fantastic day. 80+ degrees. Great waves. Awesome bike ride. Tons of eye candy. Doesnt get any better than this.
Love this beach!!
Dirtiest and not safe. Bums waiting to get you in the bushes and under the bridges
Epic surf, experts only.
My home away from home!!! My favorite place to be, ever!!!
Leads to some of my favorite beach & bike trails
Beach water is very wet
It was soo peaceful. Took me straight to the beach!
Great to bike ride down
Awesome bike/hike trail
Good, nowhere else to run in the area. Not very well designed for exercise, and they started to block the ways even more in 2017. In 2016 they done largely unnecessary river bed flattening, and abandoned equipment for months. Dog owners do not follow the rules.
Good view to the beach
Fun...
Open space all over the beach rest room and showers overall water. Clean and so easy to get on bus with bike I am over 63 now the cost to this is varry good now I love the beach
Theres no waves so you could just chill

Nice place, clean
Great beach. Really beautiful. Bathrooms are pretty trash. And well worse than park bathrooms. At least in the park then clean it every hour or so.
Goodtime, everytime ️️
Best bike trail in orange county
Wow...just WOW...will return soon..
Decent
Beautiful!
Fantastic four exercising and riding bikes
My happy place
Nice beach. Main St. has lots of places to eat, laid back atmosphere, traffic on Main St. isnt crazy.
The beach was awesome!!! The bathrooms were ok. Not the best but way better than normal.
Well maintained trail
Almost as good as the wedge
Great place to check.out
Always a clean and fun beach the weather is unbeatable. Too bad not all of it is open to dogs but understandable.
Beautiful place
Love the trail, the path is wide enough for both direction traffic. Nicely paved.
Was super cool with friends hanging out listing to some music n relax
The only safe way to get to the beach by bike
This is why I live in the area.
