So I had a tee time Sunday at 11:20. I live local to the course and i am also a member of the men’s club, so drive by while I’m out running a few errands before. I notice over 6 golfers on the #7 green with a cart to each one of them. Being a local I know that the time we booked, usually has trouble getting carts(no kidding when you allow 6 guys to their own cart in the same group) I call the pro shop to see if we will be able to get carts “Eric” answers the phone and tells me it’s “no guarantee” then when I mention the number of carts I saw on one whole, tho which his response was “that isn’t true, it’s not happening.” After calling a liar, Eric then proceeds to raise his voice and start being disrespectful to me as a customer, so I hung up. I arrive to the course and see 3 carts left for peoples use. My father(who is handicapped) was forced to go back to his car to show them his handicap placard before allowing him to use a cart(seemed like a lot, given we are both members and play there all the time) then tells us we can’t use 1 of the other 2 carts because they are reserved for later times, after previously telling me it was “no guarantee” and again is rude to me and my father. After hole 3 I ran into another member finishing up and he let me use his cart, with full intention of leaving the necessary 15$ for the cart that i tried to give them once already. He then again finds us on #7(the hole he claimed didn’t have 6 people on the green at once) and then calls me thief and demands I return the cart after being rude for the 3rd time to us, and I drop the cart off, there is now 25+ carts in the waiting area with another 15+ by the cart barn that had been returned from previous rounds. We paid the same amount as the players playing at 12-2 yet denied the same courtesies while there was plenty of carts and treated with disrespect. This man has terrible customer service skills and obviously is new to this golf course as this is our first run in with this person and hopefully our last. I was very disappointed with how my father and I had been treated at our local course, and will be speaking with management, but I left this so you can all prepare for the level of service and respect that “Eric” and meadowlark provide now...I’ll be taking a break to say the least, hopefully they can find some better help

Beautiful venue! Caring, accommodating and pleasant staff. Clean and spacious with wonderful views. Plentiful parking. A definite must for consideration!

Rubin at the bar is great! Greens are good fairways and rough soggy long and inconsistent hay can get fliers from the fairways. Carts are available but we had to have guys walk as none were available until the turn no actually ok. You MUST play this course many times to begin to understand where to hit approach shots and putt lines, si dont bet unless you KNOW!!

I know they just finished working on the greens but they are a little rough to play on.. Course was a little over watered lots of wet areas.

Cart are not available from 12pm-3pm. Please change your wording on this website. It should say, carts are not available for tee times 3pm and up. My tee time was set for 3pm. We teed off at 2:53. Neither time was after 3pm but we were still denied a cart. I would have never booked a time if It said NO CARTS FOR TEE TIMES 3PM AND UPChange your wording please.

Played this course on New Years day and it was in great shape. This is a great track, plenty of tough par 3s, risk reward short par 4s, and a couple par 5s along with some good changes in elevation.The course doesnt drain the best so sime areas were rather damp but this is hardly an issue. The staff are nice and the scenery was gorgeous (see photos). Will be returning to this one soon.

Yesterday was my first time here at Meadowlark and I had a great time. Water presents a great challenge and the layout is really nice. Ill be back again

Great pace today, people filled their divots.

Some tough holes at this course. That grass around the green is a challenge of its own..when you club down and hit fairways you can beat the holes and earn your pars to get through the round.

Reasonable pricing, good practice range and good people. Nice restaurant and bar. Easier course, only a par 70, not much trouble.

Generally good. Was using the range. 45 minutes seems a bit short for my usual practice, and $12.00 a bit steep for it. Hoping it returns to normal after COVID.

Great value course with good maintenance and challenging layout. Greens give you a nice variety and really make you work at it. Towards the back end, holes are fairly tight together so try to avoid peak times. Overall fun to play and with the visit! Ill be back for sure!

Great place to golf or to get married

This is a fun golf course. The par 70 and yardage are deceiving because the greens are brutal. Not brutal, bad shape but brutally small and sloped. The front is a much gentler course than the back.

Driving range is nice and this is an ok course. I haven’t played the course in several years as I think there better courses for the same green fees ineasy driving distance. They are always short in range balls so they likely need better management. Front desk staff could be more professional. This is the place where the local high schools come to practice

Disrespectful customer service, a place you should never go again.

Booked a walking tee time with no cart guaranteed between 10am-12pm.Before we started our round, I asked if I could get a cart for myself and my grandpa.Tommy said no carts are available when clearly they gave 3 carts sitting in front.After the second hole I asked again. I was denied once again. After hole 6 I asked again, this time they had 5 carts sitting available. We then teed off from hole 7 and noticed the group behind us had a cart. So again after hole 9 I asked for a cart and was refused. I asked why did you give the group behind us a cart. He had no answer. Whole 11 the same group behind us now has 2 carts. How can they give 2 carts to the group behind me when I have been asking repeatedly. My grandpa needs a cart more than 4 younger guys. Customer services and management need an overhaul.

Course is in great shape. Staff is doing a great job during these tough times.

I had no interaction with staff or workers, but the practice area is decent with chipping and putting greens, their range mats have two different types of surfaces to hit off of (a regular mat and a plusher surface), as well as rubber slots so you can use your regular wooden tees. The course is relatively flat with a few holes having hills. The holes are crowded together and a lot of the course runs adjacent to a street and range. Greens roll well for how much its played. Standard Muni fare.

Nice course, very friendly refreshments cart person (THANK YOU DANIEL!) and a good cafe. 9 of 10 will play here again.

Golf course do not honor tee time reservation. Reserved last night for a single player 7:37am. Was at the front desk at 7:10am. Front Desk told me I am playing with a 3some. Tee times were 15 mins delayed. At the tee 7:37am 3some got a 4th player.I was told 3some added another player thus I am in limbo. Front Desk said it was so busy that golfers make changes on the fly. Course is so backed up, I believe this is due to the fact that they do not honor reservation system. But maybe there is an under the table transaction with the front desk. Too bad, course has good layout and potential.

I met Heather, the venue coordinator, at a wedding that I recently officiated. I found her to be a joy to work with. She was professional and more than willing to show me around and help me with minor snafus that could have become big problems. She understands that pulling off a great wedding ceremony requires a team effort among the professionals and she is a real team player.The golf course makes a beautiful outdoor venue for nature lovers; especially if you dont mind having geese and ducks as your witnesses.

This is one of the best public golf courses in Orange County. The conditions are great. The course design is great. Couple par 5 holes and holes are well spaced out between each hole so less chance of shanking or slicing to the adjacent hole. It can get overbooked sometimes and gets log jammed. We had to wait behind 3 groups on the back 9. And some golfers were just slow that didnt care how many people were waiting behind them by walking really slow or not setting to tee off until the group in front of them was finished. We finished 15 of 18 holes that took little over 3 hours and couldnt play anymore since sun went down. The time I came here prior didnt have this issue and finished with a good pace of play.

Really busy on weekends. Prepare to wait if there is a foursome in front with no cart. Greens were great and definitely accuracy would be nice but hopefully your lungs can yell out incase of those oops

I like this course and play it a lot. It can be hit or miss with crowds. I like that it is a casual atmosphere, but they need to have marshals on the course at all times, Not just the weekends. I cant possibly cost them that much to pay for a couple of marshals every day. Got stuck behind 4 groups of people who were not golfers/ unconcerned with speed of play/ thought they could drive the 300 yard green / teaching their wife to play/ too old for a course this big/ etc. Ruined my experience today.

Fun course but played pretty slow today. Starter was asleep at the switch. Told me to wait for a cart. Then put numerous others off ahead of me. :-?

I went to meet a friend at Meadowlark Golf Courses restaurant the other day. Our waitress Scianna was excellent! She was attentive to our needs and served us with a positivity that was infectious! I will definitely be back.Yvonne S

Nice little golf course to spend the afternoon with your best buddies. Pleasant course layout with some water hazards across some fairways, which are not immaculately maintained, but what can one expect from a golf course that charges a minimal greens fee. Its a fun golf course to learn to play the game, may not be challenging to players who shoot in the 80s but approach to the greens could be a little tricky since a lot of these greens are dome-shaped and its not easy staying on them even after you got there. Green fees are very reasonable and comes with a cart. Walking is allowed and this is a very walkable course.

The staff are great and the course is beautiful. There is a junior club and I recommend enrolling kids that love golf in it. The instructors are great.

People working there are very nice and helpful.

Greens and tee boxes well cared for. Nice little track. The front will massage your golf ego....but the back will bring you back to golf reality as much more challenging than front. Nice affordable local track. But dont ever come here as I dont want it to be overly crowded. ;-)

Play early or plan to wait at all tee boxes. Greens and fairways seem very well kept for public course. Hats off to the greenskeeping staff.

A tough public course...short but lots of water and bunkers. Greens are domed and hard. Lots of mature trees but they are the least of your golf concerns. Too many muddy areas and too much broken cart path paving bring down the rating. Rueben, the bartender at the 19th hole is the tops.

This golf course is amazing. Pretty wide open fairways all around the course with normal paced greens make this course playable for any level. There are a few par 5 holes which is great if you like to drive the ball. The club house also has a great price on hot dogs and beverages.

A great executive course down by the beach. Nice fairways and decent greens. Has some elevation to it in different parts of the course. Overall, we had a fun time and will definitely go back again.

Ive come to the driving range a few times now. I should probably come more because I have a really terrible swing. Its probably why I come alone...The driving range is nice and has plenty of tee mats to choose from. You will have to go inside the shop and ask for a rubber tee if you want/need one to borrow.I clearly have no business being on a course yet, so I cant comment on that experience. The staff has been pleasant each time Ive come.The locals here are really nice and some offer you advice when they know youre on the struggle bus...clearly its pretty obvious how terrible I am. Its all in good fun and its nice to feel a sense of community here.

Fun track in good condition. Nice breeze from the ocean that feels good when it very warm inland. Facilities are nice, good food and a full bar with plenty of TVs. There are several challenging holes if youre a higher handicapper like me (18). The finishing hole is a part 5 thats straight into the wind every time I have played here. It can be almost impossible to get the ball close on number 12 can if the hole is placed in one of several bad locations. Almost unfair. Other than that we always enjoy playing Meadowlark.

Great specials for twilight golf during the week. Some challenging holes, but relatively easy and with more par 4/5s than most courses without much hazards.

Went there for a Cutco knive sharpening event. Very nice golf course and clubhouse. Looked like they had a restaurant there too...dont know if you have to be a member to use it.

This municipal golf course is well run, clean, easy to find, well priced. Weve been gilding here for over 10 years. Im at this course 4 times a week and my son is on the golf team so we know the place inside and out. The special events upstairs are pretty nice, food good and overall I think its a great asset to our community.

Ok course but they pack on too many players, you will have to wait for at least one foursome to play at each hole! I have played a few times and the average playing time has be over 5.5 hours! That is way too long for this course. I would recommend the Costa Mesa Country Club as an alternative. Much longer, more open, typically plays faster and cheaper!

Three stars for pace of play. The course isnt great to start, and its short, but ive played nicer courses that werent as well maintained. in this case, i think you get slightly more than you pay for (as long as you play here on a deal and dont pay full price). Bonus points for the hot dog grill on the course!

Not a bad course but not sure why the regulars think they own the place and jump from hole to hole. We went out for a afternoon of golf and a frustrating day with people hitting up on us for no reason why as we waited for the green to clear we have a group hitting the us. Lots of people jumping from hole to hole no marshals and whats up with the guy with the pit bull in his cart. What a joke. We probably wont be back. To bad good rates.

Great place to get practice on wedges short chipping game. Course can play tough especially back nine when afternoon winds are blowing really tough hole 7 & 8 water in play both holes

Good condition BUT, tough greens and pin placememts. Crowned greens puts premium on chipping and putting touch.

Plugged fairways in winter. Fun as usual aiming tee shots for approach gets me a good challenge.
