Pretty cool place. I recommend stopping by around dinner time to avoid the swarms of little ones. Makes the trip a bit easier without so much noise.

Good quality fish and they run a clean shop. Coral selection is nice and they have a good selection of entry level corals for starter tanks.

Every freshwater Guppy purchased from this store has introduced a fungus and fin Rot to the tank.The fish appear perfectly healthy, the 7- 10 days later they are dying. Ive been raising fish since 1974 and I have never had fish get these illnesses before.

Good customer service and Knowledgeable staff. We bought an aquarium from here After going to places like Petco who have a fraction of what seaside tropical fish has. The place is a little tight it’s jam packed with all kinds of tanks, good for having options but makes it a bit difficult moving around especially if it’s busy.

The people here are extremely helpful and patient. The fish are healthy and the corals are vibrant. I love that they have both saltwater and freshwater tank accessories. Be sure to visit here for an amazing time.

Tanks were clean all tbe fish were active, healthy and not eary over crowded. Prices were reasonable too.

Best place to buy saltwater fish

Whether your just a beginner or very experienced in the hobby of fishkeeping, Seaside Tropical Fish is the place to go in Orange County. Their livestock of both freshwater and salt water fish is exceptional and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They have everything you need to set up your aquarium and maintain it in top notch condition. Great selection of corals along with hard to find reef mates. As someone who has shopped at Seaside regularly for a couple of years now, I can’t say enough about the quality of the products they offer and the service they provide.

Fantastic place. There are so many beautiful fish and tanks. You can walk in and find ideas. It is a place where you are not pressured to buy. No one glares you down or rushes you. I wouldnt bring toddlers here if they are not carried. The floors are damp in spots and there are too many things to touch. Prices are a bit higher than chain pet stores, but you are getting better quality. There are people here who can answer questions with educated answers.

Well kept store, the freshwater there was all really basic stuff, nothing worth a drive out for. The saltwater however is much much better, large selection of inverts and fish. If you are into the saltwater side of the hobby Id definitely recommend dropping by.

Disappointed in the shop. Now bugs and worms I have. Flatworms are bad, red bugs, glass anemones, and worms burrowing holes in my live rock. Very sad about it all.

Great place with a wide variety and selection to choose from. The staff is very welcoming, supportive, and friendly. David, the owner is very knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares for his customers and has their best interest. I reach out to David whenever I need anything for my reef and freshwater aquariums. He is also able to order parts/supplies you need when requested. Definitely give this store a visit. I always seem to find something that catches my eye whenever I visit (once a week or so).

This is one of the best fish stores that I have ever been to. They have a great selection of saltwater fish, coral and tanks. The service there is amazing and they are always happy to help. They definitely are more focused on saltwater, but the freshwater section is decent. Finally they have a very nice pond for kids and adults to feed the fish.

Yeah they have pretty much everything you need for a saltwater. I love the prices for their corals and frags. They have a wide selection of good sht that literately makes you spend more money than you expected to do. Trust me, Ive noticed xD

After reading reviews about this place I decided to try it for myself. Drove all the way from Monrovia! This place was busy, so I looked around for a while. I was approached by a gentleman named David, which I assumed was the owner Ive been reading such great reviews about. I told him i was starting out in the reef saltwater fish hobby. He was very informative and took the time to answer some questions I had. He gave me a deal on a couple boxes of reef rock. Been researching and going to various fish store for months. This is by far the best one Ive been to. After my tank cycles I will be back to purchase some fish, and then some corals.

I love Sea Side tropical fish, they have great quality of fish and the employees are wonderful and knowledgeable of the fish. They great quality of dry goods.

I have had two saltwater tanks over a period of about ten years. I have looked throughout the O.C. area to source the best shops for water, good coral selection and of course good service. Seaside has not let me down yet, in fact, they have become my go to. They always have what I need, the staff have always been kind and helpful. It is clean and they have a restroom for customers. This place is amazing. I drive all the way from Pico California to to shop all the way over here in Huntington Beach. He has flexible prices and he is very knowledgeable and saltwater and freshwater tanks. I recommend this place to everyone that wants to start a new hobby.

Amazing store especially if you are into saltwater fish. A truly incredible selection of saltwater fish. Reef tanks are crystal clear and fish are very healthy. The freshwater selection is ok, but the saltwater selection is crazy.

This is becoming one of my favorite tropical fish stores. Excellent service. They even have sharks and stingrays you can feed, though that does costs $2. But, my boys loved the experience.It was very clean and all the tanks look very well taken care of. Very healthy looking fish and I picked up some during last couple visits and the fish have been doing excellent in my tanks.I just wish it was closer to me but still worth the drive. The prices are ok and probably around par. Not overly priced like some one seen but not cheap like one of my other favorites.

Prices are great, I went in and they didn’t have the fish I wanted, but they got it for me the next day!!! I highly recommend it. I will be going back every time I want more fish or need anything.

Cool store! A lot of amazing salt water fish! Not so much for freshwater but it was fun to visit!

Store was nice. They have a good selection if larger saltwater fish, but the fish seemed like water quality was bad and fish were stressed. They flashed and constantly rubbed on the sand. One employee didnt seem too friendly or interested in me as a customer. He seemed irritated when I asked a question about a species of fish that wasnt indicated on the tank. Overall, I didnt purchase any fish, but might return to pick up a couple to see how they fare in my tank before I return to make a larger purchase of the bigger saltwater fish.

This is probably my new favorite fish store. I came here to check this place out after I found out about them from yelp. There fish prices were very reasonable especially with their weekly specials. However their coral prices are a bit on the pricey side but the selection of the fish was amazing. While we were their one of the staff immediately came to us when we walked in and had asked us if we needed help with finding anything. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The store had a larger selection of saltwater fish than they did have of fresh but in my car that was even better. We ended up buying a shrimp, some kind of angle fish, a wrasse, a royal gramma, and some kind of goby. We also got some salt water for our aquarium at 49 cents a gallon. All the fish were very healthy looking and so far have been a great addition to our tank. At the end when we payed we got to talk the owners and they were extremely friendly and nice. Over all our experience was great and we will definitely be coming back!!

All of their fish looked well taken care of and incredibly healthy. Shop is very clean, staff is very friendly and up beat, and the shark pond is super cool to look at, and you can feed them. This will most definitely be my new local fish shop.

Beautiful store! The staff member was just friendly enough- not overbearing but offered help and answered my questions. They have a much larger stock of salt water fish than fresh, but all the fish looked very healthy and lively!

Best place to buy fish and supplies, I drive from Vegas to get fish, huge selection, good price, The owner David is very knowledgeable, staff are so friendly and helpful, they pack my fish very well, all the fish arrives home healthy. Even frozen food they pack it so good with iced bags.

Hands down my favorite LFS in Orange County. David (the owner) and all his staff are always super friendly and ready to help. Im always very particular in the fish or coral I get so I basically grill them on how long theyve had the fish/coral, is it eating, etc. and they never once give me a hard time for asking so many questions. If they do not know the answer they will look it up for me. Also, I can count on them to order me in supplies or fish that they may not have in stock. Granted, if Im looking for a super rare coral Ill go online. But, I have never once had a fish die on me (that wasnt my fault) from this store-- I cant say the same about some of the other local fish stores. From what Ive experienced they have the healthiest fish in town.Additionally, I currently have saltwater tanks, but I originally started out with freshwater and I wish I had known about his store when I had freshwater tanks. He has very reasonable prices and a lot of stock at all times. Plus they always have weekly deals that they send out via email.And to the other review down there asking for a discount on multiple fish....Ive been a regular customer for the last 4 years and he always gives me good deals. BUT if it were my first time coming into a store I would NEVER demand a discount and then go pout about it online if I didnt get my way...Its called a business for a reason.

Great prices and selection

Bought a spotted pleco here a little over a week ago. It is a really cool store to visit. Be sure to check out the indoor pond with rays and sharks!They have a good selection of freshwater fish as well as a variety of plants. Their saltwater selection seems more extensive. Definitely will be going back again sometime.

Very nice store for saltwater fish. The fresh water fish were a bit basic, but that depends on what your looking for. There is alot of tanks and inventory.

I dont mind driving 30+ minutes to visit this store every weekend, staff and owner are nice and friendly but you should do your own homework before buying rather than come to the store and asking them for advises, their answer way off compare to google search or advise you getting from forum folks. The price are in acceptable range and live stock look decent, they should remove the freshwater section and focus only saltwater because its nothing there except few cheap normal freshwater selection.

Amazing array of fish and sealife from $5 to well over $200. First thing I noticed was a dead fish in one of the aquariums though.

I was having trouble finding a certain fish elsewhere and called here. They had several lively options in stock. The one I got is healthy, active and eating well. They also have weekly sales on livestock. Very nice selection of fish and food and so forth. The shark pond at the front of the store is awesome. Some stores employees will ignore you when you come in but I had a very friendly gentleman assist me in finding the fish I was looking for and ask about my tank. Would recommend.
