World class swim facility. And very good gym complex. Plenty of classes to keep you motivated. GREAT community asset.

Has a 17 ft deep pool

Really poor customer service. Very sad to see a company treat individuals like this during a pandemic. Overdrafted accounts and ridiculous fees to cancel. Company clearly cares more about money than client service. Won’t return to this gym and I caution anyone against joining.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Told me one thing and then did another, refused to let me speak with a manager or offer any solution at all other than to just swallow the charge. Save your money and go somewhere else that has a heart.

They are not working with people in these troubled times and only care about the money. My account was supposed to be frozen “indefinitely” or until I came in and used the facilities, but that changed out of the blue with barely a notice. They charged me, overdrafted my bank account, and would do nothing to help but offer another charge to re-freeze the membership for a service I haven’t used since February. Not to mention they plan to charge full price for the next month after you cancel, even in these times. DO NOT go here and DO NOT sign any contracts they put in front of you. They do not care about your financial struggles during this pandemic, all they care about is the money they need to stay open and it apparently doesn’t hurt their conscience one bit to steal it. It’s a shame, considering I used to love going here, but what they’re doing right now is shameful and the customer service has been horrible and unhelpful. The woman I talked to earlier actually said, “sorry for the negligence on your part.” This is not how a business should be run.

This is a great place for “seniors” to work out. You don’t need to be intimidated because of your age or ability. The water aerobics classes are perfect to help get your body moving without hurting yourself. The instructors great and the classes are varied. I would definitely recommend!!

Kids love this place.

We go here as a family and really enjoy it. Our three kids are 11-17 and utilize all the pools and exercise classes/equipment. I do wish there were a few more class options during the day and later evening hours.

Wife and family love this place, really is a good family place to be. Brandon and Sue are great, Philip leads a great program that people love being a part of and thats just the tiny bit ive seen. If you need a place for family, this is a great place.

The staff are all friendly, prices are competitive. But this is primarily a pool-first fitness center.5 stars for pool and diving facilities4 stars for weight room3 stars for locker room and amenitiesThey also run a preschool out of the facility and it is a great program with some wonderful teachers. All three of our kids went through preschool here and I highly recommend.From a fitness center perspective I would be willing to pay a little more if they offered towel service and added a steam room and sauna.

This is where I go to exercise. I dont like exercise but its a necessary so I make myself go. Still working on getting there 5 days a week. Its a struggle for me. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Its a great place to workout. Classes and all sorts of things going on constantly. Great place for working out!

They have an attentive staff, but with most HOAs and apartments having awesome pool options they arent as relevant as they once were. They have some cool options and services, but they just arent competitive. Hoping they can find a way to bring us back in the future.

Things were great until they no longer supported the local Boy Scout Troop summer camp testing.Update response 8/19: Not our Troop. We had to test at a community pool after years of working with your location. Too bad.

The new changes to the gym did not meet the needs of my family. It caters more to older clientele and families interested in using the pool facilities. Membership fees are high compared to other facilities in the Lake Norman area.

Great facilities. Very responsive management. I feel like I’ve always been responded to when I’ve had any concerns. Ms. Hope is wonderful with the babies. Really appreciate her and I feel like my daughter was safe and well cared for. Would like to see the older kids area a little more separated by age as there can be tons of older kids with the toddlers.

Great club, nice facility. Lots of free fitness group activities with the membership (monthly). Access to the pool, yoga, Zumba.

Love being a member here! They have something for my whole family! We travel past a couple YMCAs & other facilities, but with everything they have to offer it is worth it!!

Great gym, with the best pools in the Charlotte area. The staff is typically top notch and friendly. Mary who staffs the front desk in the morning is always friendly and helpful.

A really nice place .

I love the group fitness classes, especially spin and Strong classes. The instructors are all excellent. The classes are appropriate for all ability levels- youll see those new to exercise to the seasoned veterans and everything in between. If machines and equipment are your thing, HFFA has it.

Pretty great place whether it be for gym and weightlifting, swimming, or yoga and dance classes. Always improving and renovating. Some of the machines are a little bit dated but pretty good overall.

HFFA is a great community gym. My husband and I have been going there for over six months now and we love it. The Strong bootcamp class is challenging and fun, and the workouts always leave us feeling like we accomplished something. The class incorporates weights and cardio, so you will have a full body workout each time. Cardio Funk is an excellent cardio dance class, and the instructor is amazing; hes energetic and encouraging. You can easily burn several hundred calories and it doesnt feel like youre working out. We also go to the Sunday yoga class, and the instructor creates a relaxing environment that is also nonjudgmental. She will suggest a number of modifications if youre new to the practice. Overall, HFFA is a great place to workout. Its reasonably priced and theyre making a number of renovations to the facility. Go in for a tour and try up to 3 classes for free. You will really get more bang for your buck and meet your fitness goals.

Very hot and extreme chlorine smell. Staff is nice, but patrons act as if they own the place. Not enough parking.

Complete Fitness, Health and Aquatic Center

The hours are horrible for the cost of membership. They have closed two-thirds of the entry doors, shortened the hours, and increased the price. The facilities are nice when there is not a swim meet going on. Otherwise it will be crowded with no parking. You are better off just paying a day fee if you want to go to the pool.

Excellent aquatic center. The Sailfish Aquatics club is a fantastic group of people and coaches that work great with my 2 daughters. Theyve went from amateur swimmers to meet finalists in just over a year...We love going there!!

Just moved to Huntersville and live around the corner from this place. Was excited to join because it looks great, they have a lot of classes and the month to month isnt bad, but its $200 if you ever decide to cancel! For what??? The hardship of you having to submit the paperwork to your bank? I can see a one month fee or something but this is insane.

This is such an awesome place for swim meets and competitions.The staff is friendly and welcoming. Great snacks for after meets. My only complaint is there just isnt enough parking.

Quality teachers and great management.

My family and I were members at this gym for several years. When we had an issue and needed to be refunded for something we received a runaround from the old staff as well as the new management. They tell you often that someone will contact you but the communication stops on their end. I would not recommend dealing with shady people

Ive purchased a monthly membership for swimming mostly - for about $70. The issue with swimming is that there are swimming classes, professional swimming training, competitions in the 50 m pool weekly - the members are allowed only 3 lanes at any given times and even those are taken by people who are training. It feels like it is real hard as a member to swim over there due to all training going on.Used to be able to go there paying a daily fee, not anymore - you need to buy a monthly/annual membership. Not happy

Wonderful center that appears to have all the amenities you woukd want from an aquatic center. We did a birthday party for a 5 yr old & he had a blast at the water park area. Only issue I had was the party host we were supposed to have never showed up which made enjoying the whole time hard, but the staff did a wonderful job correcting the situation when my wife talked with them the next day about the party planner not showing up. She went above & beyond what we expected. Really I would give 4.5 stars if I could. The ONLY reason I cant give a 5 star us because of the party planner no show, but I would definitely recommend to anyone that is thinking of having a water party for their child this would be a great place to go. I think the no show was just a one off mistake.

This place is okay... just okay there is nothing super special about it. The facility itself is in dire need of updates and renovations. It’s really the only sports pled around and it has a ton of potential but for now it’s nothing spectacular.

Decent facility to work out. Family friendly. They have a dive club training out of HFFA. Very lucky to have this here in Huntersville. Kid friendly outdoor pool.

We were here for a swim meet. Pretty nice venue but they could improve on the spectator areas and on the access to restrooms.

Love working & playing at HFFA!

The facility is nice and all, but the staff needs some work. Ive called multiple times to ask simple questions on pricing and each time I get the same person telling me they dont know. They dont try to find the answer, they dont tell me how to find the answers, they dont even try to help. They just tell me they dont know. Thats being a terrible employee as well as terrible management for not teaching the employee simple answers to common questions or how to even find the answers.

This is by far the worst experience we have ever had with a summer camp. The billing system is a nightmare, was charged a total of 1000 dollars in one day in six different charges, paying for two weeks of summer camp. Our kids lack any motivation to even go, and fight us daily. The counselors are incapable of dealing with any problems, and actually seem to make them worse. When you call, no one knows how to solve any issues. 2 weeks later I have no refund from their error, and continue to have issues. We are removing the kids and we will not ever be back. Absolutely do not recommend to anyone who can appreciate sanity.

This place is really nice! We just moved to huntersville and getting used to the area and my kids love the pool. The showers and locker rooms were very clean!! The only reason why I cant give 5 stars is because they have an employee with an accent that acted like I committed a crime when my daughter walked on the floor when she just mopped. The look on her face was very rude and unprofessional. However the second time we went there was a energetic young African American lady who was very nice and actually acted like she wanted to be there.

We take our kids to swim lessons here! We have really enjoyed it and highly recommend to other families!

I have going to Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics your years now. I live closer to another similar fitness center but, HFFA has wonderful instructors, classes and the staff are great.

Its okay. But SwimMAC is very.. uh.. yeah.But Its Alright otherwise. Great pool and gym for seasonal weather.I like the diving, as a teen.. its very refreshing.Otherwise than SwimMAC it is a well pool and gym.

First the staff is poorly trained. Obvious rejects from TSA employment pool. (Pardon the pun)Second, the overcrowding is out of hand. AND how can they pack this many people with just a few guards?Third. The yoga classes are robot-like. No soul or creativity. Same old S*** every time.They try to put themselves out there like theyre a community org but at the end of the day, HFFA is just another health-club membership scheme.

50 meter pool open to the public with membership or day fee

The facility overall is pretty clean, but the chlorine levels are consistently way too high. Many of the swimmers get chlorine burn and rashes from the high levels of chlorine in the water.

We signed up for kids classes for the the winter. After attending 2 classes in Huntersville location, they told us they will do a renovation in the pool and told us they will have the classes on an open pool covered by a tent in the moss creek (which is in concord). If we know this in advance we would never signed up, they got paid and then told us the pool renovation. This shows how $ oriented they are.The swim schools management are very unprofessional, not kid oriented and classes are very much crowded. They use 2-3 lanes, for more than 20 kids. Our kids supposed to swim 25 feet length but because they divide the 1 lane in 3 even 4 sections, they swim in 10-15 feet lengths.For the moss creek pool, it is freezing cold, no life guards on duty because they think they are really saving money not to put a single lifeguard on duty.For the money and time, you wont get anything. We will try little otter swimming in Huntersville.
