This was a beautiful area to hike to the woods. It was a fun area to be educated about the different types of trees that they have here in North Carolina.I know they have a nuclear plant and a dam close by but it was very educational and gorgeous to be outside on this beautiful North Carolina day.I WOULD recommend if you have a chance to go here and check it out yourself.

Very interesting! We came mid-day Thursday and had the entire Energy Emporium to ourselves. Only complaint was the movie was slightly dated. Enjoyed our visit.

For a layman in nuclear power, the Energy Explorium has several interactive exhibits to give an overarching understanding of what a nuclear plant is doing. And its within sight of Mcguire station to boot. The yards around the Explorium are well maintained, and a perfect place to enjoy on a sunny day

They hosted Trail to Bobcat for Piedmont Council Cubscouts. Great facility with lots of room. I recommend scheduling an event like this here with great views of the Beautiful Inland Sea, Lake Norman.

This is a great place for the family to learn about nuclear power generation and how it works. It has interactive stations and has beautiful views of Lake Norman. It has a one mile nature trail that teaches fun nature facts along the way. During the summer months, they have family fun events from movies on the lake to performances by the Charlotte Symphony. The best part is that its all free!
