Many trails to choose from, we enjoy visiting this park a few times a month with our dog. Nice easy hike, terrain is mostly the same throughout the hikes.

Visited during the pandemic, which turned out to be a great time becuase there wasnt any car traffic and the grass was growing real long all over yhe places, quite peaceful. Fun ropes course and small activty area behind the Latta Nature Center.

The Latta Plantation Nature Reserve is the perfect place to visit when tranquility is just what the doctor ordered. Miles of trails await your exploration, with a constant serenade from your avian partners. The trails are clearly marked, and trail guides can be acquired from the visitors center upon arriving. There are places to stop and rest all along the way, picnic tables for hungry hikers and scenery that just doesnt quit. This would also be a great addition to any homeschooling curriculum. If peace is what you need, you may just find it here.

Beautiful and quiet place for a nature walk with my family and our dog.

This is my second home. The park employees do such an amazing job of maintaining it.

Its a beautiful day so I hate to be picky but it would have been nice if they had mowed around the picnic areas ahead of the Labor Day weekend. Still Im glad we have these nice parks in Mecklenburg County.

We took the Cattail Trail. It was wonderful. Clean and relatively well marked

Latta Plantation offers miles of hiking options that are closer to Charlotte than the more popular destinations like Crowders. Being on the water, it has a more diverse bird population. Definitely worth a visit.
