Rowland Ballard Kingwood has been a place of positivity. While others may strew a vision because their child was obligated into many events due to the parent’s pressure, I believe the coaches there are quite positive and have believed in many children’s success. It is truly a diverse atmosphere. We have been here for four years and I have been in the gymnastics industry for 20 plus years. Growth and progression has never come faster. If you’re looking for a place to be, this is it.
Both of our daughters have attended Rowland Ballard Academy and it was one of the best investments in their future we have made. The entire staff has been outstanding. Both girls have enjoyed the gymnastics, ballet, some sports and a great curriculum. The teacher to student ratio is high and they love your kids as if they were their own.Everyone from the director to the front desk do a great job and passion and pride for what they do shows. If you are considering placing your child in a preschool this is the place to go. Reach out to Mr. Patrick for a tour and see for yourself.
Rowland/Ballard is like a home to me. It’s a great work environment and my son loves the kindergym program! The coaches truly care about their athletes and their success.
Coach David damaged my daughter’s confidence as an athlete. We landed at Rowland Ballard in Kingwood the first year they had a competitive team. They told us the team at Rolland Ballard in Atascocita was full. The first year was all training and no competing. However at the end of the year my daughter competed in her first team meet (against all her teammates). The competition ended with my daughter placing first in two events, second in one event and FIRST OVERALL!! However, by the time the season started for her to compete against other teams, she didn’t even make the roster to compete; she was an alternate. The gym we previously came from, we done privates every single week because I know my child needs 1:1 attention. When I asked the coach David if he could work us in privates he said, “they currently weren’t offering any” he even brought his assistant coach over to further confirm that there were no privates at that time. However, after sitting in the parent area during practice, I heard another mom talking about how her daughter was taking privates every week...I confronted him about it and of course he was then willing to take my money and do privates. After two seasons with this team and slowly seeing all the other athletes become better and better and my daughter remain at the ability she was when we first came was frustrating. Coach David told some of the older the girls (including Kaleah) they would have to try out for the team at the Atascocita location. I then asked if he would work with her on her back handspring before tryouts. His response “you can work with her, because I’ve tried.” I walked out of there and never paid that place another dime. I tried to get my daughter to join other gyms for gymnastics but she refused. What I didn’t find out until recently is, that that same day we left, during practice he called the girls in one by one and what he told my daughter was “You’re older and tall; maybe you should try another sport like swim or something”If I wasn’t before, I am utterly disgusted. My daughter was only 9yrs old at the time. A supposed Coach is always supposed to build up their athletes, not tear them down!
The BEST preschool around! The teachers and staff at Rowland-Ballard Kingwood are the BEST because they really care about and want the best for your child and create a family like environment!!!! We love Mrs. Kandi, Mrs. West, Mr. Patrick, and all of the teacher assistants! They really prepare their students for Humble ISD Kindergarten, my daughter was beyond prepared after attending The Academy! Students get to do 3 days of gym or 2 days of gym and 1 day of dance. Students every get to do Sportsball every other week! Students get traditional carpet time, jobs, centers, handwriting/skill practice, recces, theme weeks, math, science, literacy, Spanish, and MORE! Both of my children attend/attended The Academy and I wouldnt send them anywhere else.
The Academy at Rowland Ballard is the best, hands down! When I first put my son in the academy, he couldnt point out most letters in the alphabet. Within 3 months, he was writing his name and learning to read sight words. The academy has far exceeded my expectations, and I am amazed daily at how they constantly go above and beyond. My son has so much more confidence now, and always is so excited to show me what he is learning! It is the BEST.
Their dance technique taught is impeccable! The dance teachers are all great dancers and respectful and kind to students. My daughter received multiple college scholarships for dance and all colleges commented on the excellent technique.
My daughter had her 7th birthday party and she and all her guests had a blast! The staff was attentive, energetic and fun! The kids had fun in free play and in several staff led games. Highly recommend!!
My child absolutely loves this school. She never is ready to leave when I pick her up and she is always excited about the Gymnastics and Ballet and constantly talks about her teachers and trainers. I would highly recommend this school.
My daughter attends their age 3 pre-k. Actual education supplemented with active gymnastics and ballet. I could not have asked for better childcare my daughter is exited to go to school instead of crying like at daycare.
The atmosphere is different than any other. When you walk in the gym its never dead, coaches are always upbeat and looking alive. If you have any doubts then just go take a look for yourself!
Great pre-K. Love the teachers, staff, and coaches. The ideal place to send our little girl.
At certain times, its impossible to park any where near the building. Learn to enjoy the walks from CVS.
My girls love the coaches and their time there!
Unacceptable way of practicing horrible service
5 stars.
It is so amazing
