Fascination

Just letting everyone know, we drove by yesterday and the place is closed for good. Building next door was demolished and it looks like the old Fascination building is next.

Awesome place, so glad its back. Do you like to gamble? Do you enjoy spending time with older folks? Are you super good at rolling balls? Then this is the game for you, my friend! So basically, the object of this game is to be the 1st person (out of however many people are there playing) to get all your lights lit up. The lights are like a 6x6 square and they correspond to a bunch of holes at the end of the little runway. Youve got 3 rubber balls, and you roll them down the runway and they bounce around a bit until they pop into one of the holes and then get returned to you. When it falls into a hole, the corresponding light will light up and stay lit. The hard part is when you just need 1 or 2 lights and the balls will not cooperate with you. It cost 1 dollar for a regular game and if you win, youll win between 5 and 15 dollars. They change the amount sometimes to keep it exciting. Also, theyll do a double bet every so often, so for 2 dollars you can win 20. Its a good way to spend a lazy afternoon and def closer than the casinos.

Im not sure whats going on if fascination is still open but went by other day and it looked like it was closed for good I hope not. I loved going there and playing it was always so fun

If I could give zero stars I would! Tried to go here on Sunday July 21st. Because it was an hour drive, we called ahead to make sure that the place was open. We got a recording saying everything was open. Drove over an hour to find the place closed! Waste of a day! if you arent going to be open, change your voice recording on the phone!

They say temporarily closed but its gone

I am comparing to Flippers Fascination (now sadly closed) in Wildwood NJ, so thats a tough matchup... Fine for what it is, but I feel they could do a lot more with the concept. That work does fall onto the host somewhat otherwise its just rolling balls for speed.

The only play for cash Fascination Parlor still operating. These machines originally opened in Coney Island in 1918 and were moved to Nantasket Beach in 1944. They are the oldest Fascination machines still in operation.

Grew up skateboarding down here while my mother played Fascination. Great memories! Glad its open again!
