Tons of fun! 20$/person children and adults. Our 11, 8, & 6 yr old all managed to handle the rope tows up the hills independently after a little practice. This is a dedicated snow tubing spot. Not a few lanes added next to a ski resort. 7 different runs (I think) with varying slope/speed, including a bunny hill to get the kids comfortable. There is a small chalet where you buy the tubing tickets with a snack bar & bathrooms. Parking was plentiful.Great way to spend an afternoon. Id do it again.
My family loved the Badlands. It has hills for all ages and thrill levels. If you havent been here it is worth the drive and price of admission. Go early and stay late if you want, no two hour windows here, we were there for five hours and the kids (8&12) couldnt get enough. We will be making the Badlands our new winter getaway.
Amazing value, pay $20 for an 8 hour day of tubing. Great, cheap food and friendly staff. I’ve been going here for years, and it has always been the same. Good for all ages.
We live only a few minutes away from this park and foolishly did not look at the pricing before we left the house. We arrived just prior to 4pm and it closed at 6pm. We have 2, 4, and 7 year old. We were told it was still going to cost $20/person no matter the age and for the remaining 2 hours the park was open. It is really nice to have something like this so close to home, but really unfortunate that they cannot consider pricing differently for small children at an hourly rate. Our kids would have likely lasted an hour or so, and for $100 that will never be worth it. We left with disappointed kids (one having a regular meltdown). When we asked the woman in the chalet who very well could have been the owner to clarify the pricing for that age at that time of the day, she barely looked at us and was expressionless. Not friendly at all. We want to support local but dont try to compare yourself to the larger facilities. You would still be packed if you changed your prices a bit.
This place couldnt keep a smile off the Grinch! Pure, wholesome fun for the family. Just try not to laugh, scream, and have a good time. Nothing fancy or overpriced, which is a nice draw. Enough staff monitoring runs and lifts to keep the visitors safe, but theyre not overbearing.Fun variety of hills that cater to young children (3-4+) and adults. Must have hand dexterity and arm strength to hold yourself on a tube with handles and a 1.5 rope to be pulled up the lift. Quite a safe ride. Recommend some leather gloves to help hold onto the rope ;)Went on a warmer, sunny day when the snow was sticky, but once the sun went down, the wet turned to ice, which made the runs amazingly fast!Chalet sells light snacks (popcorn, pizza, hot dogs, candy, chips, soda, hot chocolate, apple cider) and one of the best locally-sourced pulled pork sandwiches Ive had in awhile. People are in and out enough that you can generally find a place to sit. Bring some snacks or a picnic in your car if you dont like what the chalet offers.Free parking can be limited on busy weekend days. Bring your AWD vehicle or come early. Love that this place isnt in the middle of a city or by a highway! Stay late and watch the stars without all the light and noise pollution.Would love a few more bathroom stalls; 2 in the Womens restroom.Support the small business and pay the $20 money - its worth it!
Wonderful owner Ms. Maggie was very accommodating to my sister, myself & my family visiting from Texas by allowing us to rent the park on a weekday. On a day she shouldve been home resting, she came in & being new to snow & snowtubing was so patient explaining it all to us & fun to hang out with. We recommend Badlands Sno-Park for a friendly, fun time & we will definitely return when we get more family visits. My family had a blast & said their favorite memory will be the snowtubing experience & we have Ms. Maggie to thank for that.
Great fun for the family. Kids and adults all had a blast. Only negative was the older crabby employee in the chalet snack bar but we can look past that.
Great place to go. Multiple runs of differing slopes and configurations. Fun for the whole family.
This is the best place to tube. Be prepared to pay $20 dollars per person. Disappointed that little kids are same price and no military discount! Feels greedy to me since they are packed.
A solid 4.5 stars. Its a little pricy at $20 for all ages, but there are 5 or 6 hills and they dont have a bunch of restrictive rules. The cost must not be too high because the place was packed. It took us 15 minutes and 4 trips around the lot to find a parking space. There is not enogh parking and that is the reason I didnt give it 5 stars. We saw dozens of others looking for parking. Other than that its a great place with the best hills Ive found so far.
If it’s snow tubing you are looking for, this is where you want to go. All about tubing, not an afterthought side hill like many other places. Lots of runs, lots of speed, tow lines, not those super slow conveyor belts, and freedom. You can go down the hill when you want, with however many people you want. Not one person in a boring lane, and you only get to go when the attendant gives you the all clear.
Great family fun. Lots of hills to choose from. Tow ropes to get you to the top.
This place is awesome! Great hills and the lines werent very long.
Awesome place, well worth the money. My family of 6 had a blast all day!!!
Had fun at a school trip and they had lots of good well maintained trails to slide down. Only problem the food is pretty expensive and you can only buy whole pizzas not slices
Fun time for the family, but I was a bit disappointed with the monitoring of the top and bottom of the hills. At $18/person, there should be some monitoring. Several of us had unintended collisions. If there were 1/2 day passes, we would be much more likely to return more than once a year. $72 for a family of 4 is a pricey outing.
Brought out my inner kid in me and hrs passed b4 we realized it bc we have so much fun everytime we go. Food is a bit over priced but not bad, clean and well maintained and respected environment inside and out.
Soooo much fun, they guide you in keeping yourself safe but not too structured as to where they suck all of the fun out of it. By far the BEST place to go tubing.
Best tubing. Hands down. Dont bother going anywhere else in the twin citites.
Amazing! We had so much fun here. Badlands is a hidden gem. Go here with your family, itza BLAST!
They have the best hills very fun for the kids they loved the place.the food was really good and reasonable priced.
My family and I love this place. You can tube all day..no time limit
I swear, this is the best tubing park around. Hills are a lot better than the ones where its just a straight hill down. These are winding, steep. Theres like 5 different ones and all of them are fantastic. Make sure your head is on a swivel because there isnt an operator saying when you can go.. you just kinda go when you want and if your not careful someone behind you will take you out! Wont go anywhere else.
7 awesome runs. Great for kids to adult
Super fun. great family fun. thats affordable!
Best $20 I ever spent. I lasted about 8 hours
This is an awesome place to go for family fun! Or if you need a place to drop off the older kids for a few hours to get some Christmas shopping done. My teenager loves to spend the day hanging at badlands with his buddies on the weekends or when on Christmas break. They have plenty of food choices that are kid friendly so they can get a meal while theyre there and always talk about what a blast they had. So glad to have a place like this close to home!!!
Have been twice, both great experiences! Well worth the price. I havent been tubing elsewhere to be able to compare, but initially decided to make the further drive here for the variety of hills, not just one straight like some places.
So much fun! Affordable
Best place to snow tube in or near the twin cities
A great way to spend a winter day.
Very interesting snow tubing park. Multiple tow lines and numerous distinct tubing runs. Generous and warm chalet. Will definitely come back.
My grandsons loved it,a little spendy but the more time you spend the hourly rate goes down.
Really great place! So much fun!
They only get better year after year.
$18 per person is well worth it. No time limit, stay all day, pack a lunch or eat at the chalet. Fun for all ages There are some crazy fast hills here, will definitely be back!!!!
Very nice play to enjoy snow tubing. Friendly staff all around. Very inexpensive and the cafe had good options at very low price but the quality was good. If you fail to have your breakfast or lunch you will have the cafe there as fall back. Find a warm day and go in a group, it will be lot of fun .. dont miss the toilet bowl trial its the most tough trial .. be watchful n careful on the last trial ..
We came here here for a sort of family get together and we were rather disappointed. The hills are well maintained and laid out but that is really the only thing it has going for it. They charge $18 per person no matter the age. We ended up paying $18 for a 1.5 year old to slide down the bunny hill with us a few times because they required her to have her own tube for every other hill. We had also brought some basic snacks for our kids, crackers and fruit and were told there was no outside food allowed but we could purchase a $10 frozen cheese pizza from them. I honestly would not recommend this place for any kids under at least 7.
The weather was 0 deg F with a slight wind, but we still had a great time. The hills were as challenging as we could want, and the runs were well groomed. There was plenty of room for everyone either on the slopes or in the warming house. A great place for Winter fun.
Waited an hour and a half for the hayride to get to the pumpkin patch. Finally asked how much longer and they said they weren’t sure, even though the tractor had been back for a half hour. We finally left without pumpkins and after wasting 40 dollars . Shouldn’t have a pumpkin patch that you need to take a hayride to if there isn’t a tractor consistently going to the patch.
This place is awesome. We always have a blast.
Great place to take kids. A bit pricey at $17/person. The hills are excellent. Some have sloping banked turns and some have jumps. They do have a chalet with food but dont allow you to bring your own, which can be a problem for those with dietary restrictions. The people that work here are delightful and it was a wonderful experience!
Small business but lots of fun
Such a great time, and so affordable! My kids (6&7) loved tubing for the first time. Awesome place!
Way better then Buck Bump
Amazing, hole in the wall type location. simple tow ropes and a neat cabin sort for keeping warm. The chalet kitchen could go for an upgrade though, and seating with a fireplace would make for a decent touch... unfortunately though, there isnt one. Will definitely go again now that Ive discovered the place, but the upgrades needed keep me from giving a 5 star.
Such a fun place for the family of all ages ! Its definatly worth the money !
My kids love the hills!
This is one of the best places to go snow tubing. Our family goes every year and we love the hills. The staff there are great and make it even more fun. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for fun hills!
This is a great place to take the kids. Staff is very helpful and its about the same $ as you would spend going to the movies. Everyone will sleep good after a long day tubing.
The hills are fun and well laid out, but thats about all you can say for it. The cost is $17 for the day, which is decent for teens and adults. However, there is not a discount for kids, so I had to pay $17 for my 3 year old even though he shared a tube with us and only lasted for 3 hours. Another con to this place is that outside food is not allowed in the clubhouse and the food offered there is frozen pizzas that they bake for you and other gas station food. We were there for a birthday party and we probably wont go back unless were attending a party.
Amazing even tho my friend got a concussion
Its fun but overpriced for what it is. $19 a person is quite high, especially for young children who cant do the steeper hills and who tire out after an hour or two. Having to pay full admission for my one and a half year old was ridiculous. She sat on my lap while we did the bunny hill repeatedly - hardly worth a full-priced ticket. My 4 year old had a good time, but she struggled with the rope pulleys to get to the top of the hills. I wouldnt recommend this place for kids under 7. I came with a bunch of extended family, and that seemed to be the age cut off below which my nieces, nephews, and my own children were unable to manage the hills and tubes without adult help and so couldnt fully enjoy the park.
When I had went there with my family the people that worked there were not nice and it was the worst experience ever
Always a nice place, several sliding hills, they had made a lot of snow so even with the warm weather we had the hills still had snow on them
We travelled 6 hours to check this place out, and it was worth it! Five different runs - from VERY FAST to four year old kid speed. Nice snack shop. If youre looking for fast and not just straight down and minimal supervision and that WOW! feeling and a variety of runs, then this is by far the best place in Wi. Cost is $17 for all day. Cons - laying on the tow rope to get to the different hilltops takes some getting used to; tubes are old; parking lot not the smoothest. Cant wait for next winter.
So much fun.
We came from TN and had family from Seattle in town too. The owners/staff were so welcoming and let us tube even though they werent open quite yet. We had such a blast tubing! It youre looking for a fun day outside you wont be disappointed here.
Fun entertainment for the winter outdoors
Fun to tube here, the lodge is warm and big. The food isnt great, but are you really coming to a tubing place for the food?
Little spendy, but a great day
Great fun for everyone. Not your average sledding hill. They have multiple hills for everyone. Wear a good pair of gloves to hang on tight to the tow ropes.
Great Tubing place! The best one I have been to so far, not just straight up and down hills but actual curves and different ones. Highly recommended.
My family has been going here for 7 years and we always bring a big group with us. The staff is great and super friendly! Every year we come back there always seems to be something new and exciting! The price is great for staying all day.
False Advertising!! No Base!! Company stated all runs open. Show up and only 1/2 of runs are open. Very disappointing and frustrating. Definitely will consider other venues in future such Buck Hill or Afton Alps
By far the best experience you can have on the snow
Great experience. Nothing fancy, all fun.
Great place. The way it was set up was nice.
Great place to take the family. Everyone in our group was the age of 4 or older, and we all had a great time. I didnt expect my kids to last all day, but they did. Amazing family fun.
Love Badlands and the Kinney family! Come out for Halloween hay rides, pumpkins, animals, and fun.
So much fun
Fun, great for large groups, had a group of 13 people and it was wonderful!!! Children love the hills and they have great snacks and hot cocoa in the hut
Badlands snow park is the best place to go snow tubeing all day long
Amazing, Great rides amazing staff
Family run. Very nice and well run place. I also like that they actually enforce the rules. Great prices for all day tubing!
Really great place to go tubing! Our only complaint was the customers. Theyd go down the hill and would make 0 attempt at slowing down or stopping. Theyd just wipe out anyone in their way. Almost no one would put their feet down and attempt to slow down. Multiple people in my group got wiped out including children trying to get out of their way. Should either put some cones down at the bottom of the hill and tell the people to try stopping before they move on to the other hills or have more people at the bottom making sure people are safe.
Great hills to tube. Several different runs.
Great fun!
One of the easiest ways to rekindle your youth. A blast for anyone of any age. Bundle up though!
So much fun, for all ages! Very reasonable pricing. Best snow tubing experience of my life!
Watch out for big red storage containers they will jump in front of you
With 7 hills, hot chocolate for $1, and friendly staff, this tubing park will knock your hat off (literally).
A great place to have a wonderful time...a great family outing..loved our time there.
Awesome! Fun the whole family.
Fun to go tubing
We had a great time tubing at Badlands - good pizza and goodies inside!
I always have so much fun here.family oriented...lists of staff
This place is AWESOME except It is hard to spot people in a crowd
We always have fun at Badlands. Tubing fun for all ages!
It is the best thing Ive ever done it is totally worth it
Watching the folks tubin is fun in itself. Watching the little ones even funner!!!
Great place to spend a winters day/night
Hills are pretty thrilling and you can make as big of a chain as you want
Great fun for the kids, and the kid you forget about inside you!
