Great venue for sand court volleyball. Lots of well maintained courts, shaded cabana, grilled food and drinks. Went for a tournament and had a great time. Well organized and well managed. Thank you for a first class experience!

We just found this gem the other day. Been back every other day. Courts are well maintained and everyone there is super friendly and helpful. If you play sand volleyball, this is THE place.

Been going before I had kids. After 5 years I was able to come back and it was very kid friendly and safe. Dogs are also welcome so a fair amount of them were on leshes or well behaved enough to be off them. Good selection of Alcohol, sports drinks and snacks. Always look forward to coming back.

Awesome bartenders. theres about 12 volleyball courts. good for groups and corporate or group events. They have open play on Friday and Sunday. Do you like to play volleyball or learn to play. This is a great place.

Pretty big and open. Really chill vibe. Great customer service although they never pick up the phone. You can just jump into a game if someone is needed. Would def recommend to friends.

Best outdoor volleyball beach courts you could find in town.

Ive been playing at Third Coast since 2010 (my 17th season coming up, with multiple seasons throughout the year)...its always a fun time there, as its a casual environment and youre playing around in sand! :)In the facility, there are 12 sand volleyball courts (5 on each side & 2 center-stage courts), and one bar (beer/soft drinks), plus plenty of shaded seating if you need it. There are also a couple of misters/fans to help stay cool.The staff are somewhat slow to warm up (since people come at them in waves between matches), but theyre very friendly as long as youre friendly.Weeknights are usually filled with league play, and Saturdays from Spring through Fall will typically have a tournament of some kind.Sunday is normally an open play day, where a minimal cover (I think its currently $6/person) will get you access to the courts as long as you want.Parking during league nights in particular can be challenging--you can only park in the spaces around the complex, on the street, or in a gravel lot at the end of the street (that may change). DO NOT park in the lots of any other businesses, as they will have you towed and generally ruin your experience.No outside beverages are allowed (although they do allow one bottle of water during league play); but that makes sense, since thats really their primary source of revenue, and drinks are reasonably priced.They do host corporate events during weekdays...I havent had the chance yet to do one there, but its definitely an opportunity to do something different, with being outdoors & in sand.Additionally, they do host summer and other camps for teenagers, & those kids are ACTIVE!In the event of bad weather--typically, play will continue with light or moderate rain, as sand just becomes wet sand rather than mud. Heavy rain and lightning in the area will normally cause cancellations, since you are playing outside near light poles and such.Basically, if youre active and just want to grab a beer and have some fun, you should go! Even if youre like me, and havent played volleyball since school and never competitively, you may find that youve discovered a new regular spot to go!

Great atmosphere - nice bartenders, good competition! It does get busy around happy hour time since you can get in free before 6pm. It is $10 otherwise.

Check the website for info on leagues and free play. Great lighting and the best sand in town. If you play in Houston you understand the value of courts with great drainage. Make sure you choose a court/league thats on your level and youre good to go.

They have a great program for teens and adults. Games are played Tuesdays and Thursdays for adults. Competition is great!

First timer today. Had an amazing time. Everyone was so sweet even though im an amateur. I highly recommend.

Offering a wide range of skill-level across 12 sand courts, fully-equiped showers and changerooms, and a decent-sized bar with beer, snacks, and Gatorade, Third Coast delivers the best volleyball experience in the Houston area.Fridays and Sundays usually have open play with a 6-dollar cover, and leagues are available through the week.
