Even though due to current circumstances nobody is in the office to take phone calls and the only method of contact is email (which I always hate because most companies don’t get back right away), Houston Soccer Shots has replied to my emails within a few hours consistently and helped me with my problems.Thank you!

My son started with Soccer Shots since he was 3yrs. old and went on until he was too old. He loved it and looked forward to each class. He still misses it! The coaches were all full of positive attitude and motivation. It was the best soccer experience for our family.

Soccer Shots Houston has been so good for our son! we have loved all the coaches, the curriculum, the team atmosphere. We started when my son wasnt even 2 years old and have continued until hes 4! Our son who turned 8 years this month, has been attending Soccer Shots ever since he was a little more than 3.5 years old. If we had it our way, we would continue sending him there were it not for Soccer Shots’ policies of limiting kids to the age of 8. Over the years, our son has gone through many instructors and he fondly remembers each one of them. It’s not just the basic skill that they teach and build upon over the years, it is the way they do it. It is the most fun and encouraging environment one can imagine for kids learning something new – with games and other activities to drive home the point of every lesson and reinforcing those over and over again. The best thing we like about the program is that the instructor’s remember every child’s name. They huddle up prior to the game and talk to the kids about softer qualities such as obedience, respect, patience, comradery and what it means to be part of a team - and then after the game they reinforce those qualities again. They mix the kids up all the time so the kids play on the same side sometimes and against each other the other times further building on the softer qualities. We have a 3 year old girl who has been accompanying her brother at all his Soccer Shots’ outings and can’t wait to start this Fall. Kids will grow up and learn to play soccer and get better at it over time, but sometimes it’s where you get that start from that matters. In our case, we would not have had that start anywhere else than at Soccer Shots. Alex Woods is doing a great job and the passion is visible in the entire Soccer Shots team. Alex if you are reading this, raise the age limit!

My daughter participated in Soccer Shots for 4 years and she played almost every season possible. The only reason she stopped playing was because she got too old for the program (but shell come back if you increase the age limit). She participated in Soccer Shots at daycare, at school, at the park, and at camp. I still think this is one of the best activities we have ever chosen for her. When she started she was afraid to work with new Coaches and to play with new kids. By the time she finished she was happy to meet new people and she felt comfortable playing even when she was the only girl in a group of boys. When she started playing she was afraid of getting dirty and afraid of getting hurt. Now she plays goalie for her school soccer team; shes had her share of minor injuries and she gets plenty dirty. Soccer Shots helped our daughter develop self confidence. Shes adventurous and shes willing to take risks. Our daughter still likes to talk about her Soccer Shots Coaches and she likes to find out what they are doing now. We are extremely grateful for what this program has done for our daughter.

Soccer Shots was an integral part of our daughters development as a soccer player. As a preschooler and for 2 years of elementary school, she was a member of Soccer Shots. She had the utmost respect for Coach Alex due to his consistent positive feedback and always making the game fun. She learned the fundamentals of the sport. Today, she plays for one the citys top teams in her age group. Whether or not your child goes onto play soccer throughout his/her schooling years, Soccer Shots teaches invaluable lessons about being a team player.

Both of my boys participate in soccer shots and they absolutely love it. The coaches are excellent and know how to work with children of all ages. The organization fosters teamwork, skills building, and healthy competition. More importantly, they genuinely care about the kids and want your child to develop a love and passion for the sport, too.

The coaches make it fun for the kids and do an excellent job of teaching them skills on the field while also emphasizing teamwork and respect between players. I was introduced to Soccer Shots at my childrens school. We loved it so much we put them in Soccer Shot Selects. The kids had a blast. The coaches are kind and encouraging. Three boys and they are all Soccer Shots graduates. Wish there was a Soccer Shots Club version for older kids. Hint, hint.

We spent a total of seven years combined at Soccer Shots with Coach Alex Woods. The program offered for entry level soccer is amazing! Both of my boys were introduced to Soccer Shots while at a Montessori School near Rice University and soon were invited to the Select program. Each class was offered during school time for 30 minutes. Soccer Shots quickly became the highlight each week at school. Coach Alex was always professional and courteous. The coaches working with Coach Alex were always just as professional and went above and beyond to answer your questions. The Soccer Shots program progressed very naturally, with my boys learning essential soccer skills without even knowing it because they were having so much fun! As my boys aged out of the Soccer Shots school and Select program with Coach Alex, they easily integrated into a top competitive program in the Houston area. Coach Alex and the Soccer Shots program helped our boys learn to love the game and start their soccer lives with a strong foundation not matched by any others in Houston!

We absolutely love Soccer Shots!! Its a program that fits our family perfectly. Our boys are kept engaged at every practice and are often able to come home and relay what they have learned each week. We appreciate the coaches and the time they take to instruct our boys individually during each practice.

We love the Soccer Shots program for kids. My son started with a class in school and participated for 4 years in various school and park programs with them. Ive always been very pleased with all of the staff and highly recommend it to parents who want to give it a try. We moved last year and one of the things we miss the most is Soccer Shots!!

We are so in love with Soccer Shots. We enrolled our (shy) daughter in it very last minute because we read how soccer shots focuses on character development, and we were not disappointed! After her second practice she said Just because I cant do it doesnt mean I stop trying, I keep practicing and learn new things each time!. Yes that came from my preschooler!! I have my toddler in it too and the coaches are just so kind and patient and ENGAGING. So so engaging with the little ones. It is a perfect program for my daughters first sport. Im going to keep them in soccer shots until they are too old!!

We’ve done 3 rounds of Soccer Shots, so far! We love the program so much. The coaches use gentle and respectful language and they know how to engage the children appropriately. What an amazing foundation for our young children to get started with in the world of sports and human interaction.

I was a collegiate soccer player and whenever someone ask me where they should start their kids with the game, I always recommend Coach Alex and the soccer shots team! My 2 boys went through his program including Soccer Shots Select. They absolutely loved it and it set a strong foundation for the love of the game and their skills and understanding of the sport. We are lucky to have Coach Alex and the Soccer Shot team working with our youth here in Houston!

Drove in from outer Sugar Land to Houston and got to the school where this soccer program was. I unloaded my 11 month old, and 2 year old, was a disaster even finding where they were with the help of staff finally. Once I got there I was told that because my kid wasn’t enrolled in that school, he could not participate. This was never said to us at all when signing up for the toddler soccer summer program through the soccer shots website. They said “we are planning on putting that disclaimer on our website soon”.

I’d give Soccer Shots Houston more than 5 stars if I could. My daughter was involved with SS since she was old enough to participate. We had several different coaches throughout our time in the program and all were excellent. The program is truly outstanding. It’s perfectly designed to introduce the game to the little ones and build on what they’ve learned as they get older. My daughter was part of the Select program during the last few seasons before she aged out. Alex does an incredible job with these kids and my daughter was well prepared to join competitive soccer with a local club. I can’t say enough about the quality of the entire program from start to finish. I highly recommend this program.

We have had the best experience with Soccer Shots and the Soccer Shots select team. Coach Alex and the other coaches are wonderful—very focused on developing not only strong soccer skills but good teamwork as well. Practices were well organized, communication was good and rarely was anything cancelled. I strongly recommend this program!

Soccer Shots is the best soccer program for young kids in HOUSTON, no doubt about it! Both of my kids started at Soccer Shots since they were little and the coaches not only focused on developing their skills, but on making the sport fun and really get to love it. I can honestly say that my kids love to play soccer (now 12 and 9 years old) because of Soccer Shots. We joined the Fall and Winter programs, Summer programs, and even the After school programs every chance we got as we knew that whether or not our kids would continue playing soccer, this was by far the best place for them. Hands down, the best introductory soccer program in the Houston area. Coaches are amazing and care about every child’s progress-from beginners to superstars. Alex, the owner, is the ultimate professional, leader, and instructor who models great sportsmanship both on and off the field.

We love Soccer Shots! My oldest son started in 2013 and my youngest just aged out last year. Alex and the SS crew have built something really special. Not only did my boys improve in soccer, they also came home with character-building lessons which I really appreciated. Weve had a variety of coaches who have all been amazing. They manage to coach a bunch of littles AND handle any crazy that can come with it. It was so nice to sit back and know that our kids were with well-prepared coaches instead of playing the parent-coach roulette you get with any other sports organization for these ages. My kids have moved on to one of the top clubs in Houston and although its competitive and exciting for the kids, we miss SS. Ive probably asked them 20 times to extend the age limit:) Fingers crossed!

Amazing experience! Kids loved going, teachers are great!!! Too sad not to be able to go any more... but if we could, we would not doubt to go again! Even great for the smaller ones! Coach Quique is THE BEST!!!!

My son showed a love for the game and it was further developed with this program. There are opportunities for specialized training, which is a great launching pad for kids who show passion for soccer.

Completely disappointed with Soccer shots. They offered a free demonstration for today at 9.30 am at Evelyn Park, however nobody from them showed up since it was canceled without previous communication. More than 10 families with their kids were let down. I already paid for the spring season, but will be asking for a full refund. Can’t tolerate I company dealing with kids to let them down this way.

Our six-year-old son has been involved with Soccer Shots for over two years now, and it has been such a positive experience for him, and really for our whole family. He has learned and improved so much and grown incredibly since starting, and he absolutely loves soccer now. But its about so much more than just the soccer skills; he has learned about good sportsmanship, respect (for his coaches and his teammates), perseverance, and every other positive character trait that Soccer Shots is so keen on modeling and teaching our kids about. I have also always been highly impressed with the Soccer Shots office/administrative staff; they are so on the ball, friendly, and competent, and any time Ive needed help with something theyve been able to address it quickly and effectively. We plan to stay with Soccer Shots for as long as we can and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get their kids involved in soccer...I dont think youll find a better soccer league out there!

Coach Carly and Coach Rex are fantastic with the kids and our son loves all the games they have created to make learning the basics of soccer fun.

We LOVE Soccer Shots!! My daughter is 4 and just started this month... This is class 3 and we are hooked! Im not a soccer player (or athlete) for that matter, so I wanted to get my daughter into something athletic... A friend told me about Soccer Shots - her two daughters have participated in the past. Let me say this - it is so much more than just soccer!!! They learn soccer skills and teamwork, but also ideas like determination, confidence and respect. Coach Mars and Coach Mykala are amazing! I enjoy watching every minute of every class and my daughter is always excited to practice at home for next weeks class. Highly recommend!!!

My oldest son started soccer shots when he was 3 years old and I can’t be more thankful that he started with Coach Alex and the Soccer shots program. He set the foundation for my son to learn skills but most importantly instilled the love of the game. He played from 3 to 8 within the soccershots program and then moved to club soccer. He now plays on the highest level team for his club and has teammates that also went through the soccershots program as well. As a mom that didn’t grow up playing soccer I couldn’t be more thankful for all the knowledge and skills my son gained from this program. I have four children total and all have joined soccershots and loved it. Not only are the coaches super fantastic on the field but everyone involved with the program has excellent customer service. If you email or call you can be sure that you will get a response right away. Communication is always key especially when it comes to your children. Class times and locations are great also. Especially if you have more than one child and multiple schedules to keep up with. I was always able to find a class time and location that fit into our schedule. Honestly, this program is amazing. If one day my son signs a deal for college soccer or anything beyond that I always tell my son that Coach Alex will be there because he gave you the foundation to be great at what you love! Super grateful always.
