I have followed Jo Sherwoods artwork over the years, having a soft spot for the Dutch old masters and here is a modern Dutch artist we all can follow. She trained in Amsterdam but has lived stateside for decades. I was captivated by her burros series; I even bought the note cards so I could share the artists apparent love for these often *overlooked beasts of burden.* Two years ago, her award winning painting was selected for an exhibit here in NYC and my sister and I met the artist. Now she has ventured to Tibet, a peace loving country and Sherwoods paintings suspend time in order to capture this so future generations can better appreciate its distinct culture and unique contributions--before they vanish. Follow her, her paintings are a valued investment. If you get to meet her, youll love her enthusiasm. Okay, maybe Ive gone on for too long: but the world needs more beauty.
Her world wide burro series is one of the finest Ive ever seen.
