This was a piece that visionary mastermind Robert Avila crafted for me when I commissioned it after seeing his unique art style. My only request, was something themed after the Fibonacci Spiral - as referenced throughout the band Tools album, and title track Lateralus. Lateralus is a song writ in the timing of the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, etc.) which includes the lyrics, reaching out to embrace the random, and to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral, to swing on the spiral... In short, to live like the Fibonacci Spiral and to keep growing, and expanding, and to never accept the status quo. Needless to say, I think Blue Cat Lounge perfectly captured the essence of an amazing song, and amazing life lesson in a unique and striking way. I couldnt be happier!!!

I have two pieces in my home and I absolutely love them. The evolution and diversity of Robert’s work is simply amazing. The different media he works with makes the artwork so different. The intricacies of his pieces are so well displayed. I am always looking forward to seeing his next piece and I love hearing what inspired it. Ive known Robert for quite a while and have had the opportunity to see his art progress over time.Since hes become a professional and started selling his artwork, he is able to provide you with spectacular pieces of creative and inspiring work, or he can even be commissioned to create something tailored to what you, personally, are looking for.Hes definitely got a talent for making (and even creatively titling) works that are things youve never thought youd see before. Some of his works play on classic artists works and other things are just renderings of activities or things we see and do every day.Peruse his art that hangs in local coffee shops or through his website, but definitely consider integrating one into your own homes decor because hes got something for everyones taste.

I have two amazing pieces from Robert, each one unique and special to me. He has an attention to detail that unfolds in the lines of his work, magnificently, real and broadly different than his peers. I rate 5 stars ️ Not only for the quality of his work but his professionalism as an artist.

It has been my pleasure to watch Blue Cat Lounge become a vault of examples of Rob’s true talent. Rob didn’t plan to be an artist, have an internet gallery and Etsy shop of his work rather, all of his pieces come from the inspiration that took place when Rob went back to school to further his education for his career.
