We love MDCC! My toddler loves Ms. Stephanies pre-k classroom. She is so calm and patient and always has a new and exciting activity planned for the kids. My 1 year old is VERY attached to his teacher, Ms. Soli. She is so warm and kind and always teaching the little ones something new. It is obvious that all of the teachers genuinely love their jobs and love the children. The director, Ms. Flavia, is very personable and constantly looking for ways to improve the school and new ideas to bring into the classrooms. We love it and have no plans to leave until kindergarten!
During the pandemic our previous daycare facility closed permanently. We were so lucky to discover the Museum District Child care Center. In the short time that we’ve been there we have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly both of our kids have transitioned and acclimated to the school. This speaks to the wonderful supportive environment and all the great teachers at the facility!Miss Tracey is conducting distance-learning for my daughter since HISD is currently virtual. She is doing a great job and it is such a weight off of our shoulders to not worry about her social and emotional needs being met. I highly recommend the Museum District Child Care Center!
My twin girls have been coming here since they were born! This place is a godsend for my wife and I. We really appreciate there care and attentiveness to each individual child. They not only care for each child but really do help them grow and develop. My Girls are moving up classes now so their old teacher Liz did her job right!!! We are really going to miss her but all the teachers are great.
MDCCC has been great for our two little boys. Their old daycare closed down and we were scrambling to find a replacement in the middle of COVID. MDCCC took our family in with open arms and our boys have gravitated to their teachers, Ms Stephanie and Ms Diana. They have both been amazing additions to our boys development. We receive pictures and communication daily through the brightwheel app on our phones (which my wife and I love). We are also excited about the extracurricular activities, like Soccer Shots, they have scheduled for the fall. If you are looking for a trustworthy place to aid in the development of your children, MDCCC is a great option.
My son has been going here for over a year now and has always ran happily inside (since he could walk, of course). His current teacher, Ms. Soli, is always excited and happy to see him, even on the weekends when we happen to walk-by during a staff meeting. Additionally, Ms. Flavia, the director, is quick to answer any of my questions, which I appreciate. You can tell how all the teachers enjoy their jobs and care for the students.
Are family loves MDCC! Amy does a great job with our kid. They have always been very responsive to anything weve asked them. Theyve done a wonderful job during COVID at ensuring the health and safety of our kid and communicating theyre procedures. Weve felt safe leaving our kid with them during these interesting times.
MDCC has been nothing short of wonderful caring for and teaching our 20 month old son since we started with them a couple months ago. He is very fond of Miss Amy & Miss Natasha who diligently keep us up to date throughout the day and provide adorable photos of him as well through the Brightwheel App. The center has done a great job adapting to the circumstances of the pandemic and we feel very safe continuing to send our son there. If youre looking for a quality child care center, especially if you are already in the Museum District, this is well worth your time to investigate.
My son’s previous daycare closed during the pandemic, and luckily, we found and joined MDCC in July. My son comes here everyday with great joy, and he loves Ms. Stephanie since day one. He also loves Ms. Destiny’s singing in the class, and keeps singing at home all the time. Highly recommended.
Ms. Tracy has been a huge help to our family. She does a wonderful job helping with distance learning. My son loves his preschool class with Ms. Destiny and Ms. Stephanie. Everyone is all smiles all the time. We are huge fans of MDCC!
My daughter just started attending this week after we were referred from a friend and we love it! My daughter always seems happy to see her teachers. We love how the staff greet you at the door and chat about your child’s day when you pick them up. Her teacher Ms. Brittany as well as the school director Ms. Flavia have been super available and helpful in getting her adjusted to a new place.
My son and daughter started here about 4 weeks ago and have adjusted wonderfully. I was very worried as we just moved from Minnesota and went through a lot of changes over the past 6 weeks but they seem to be thriving at MDCC. The staff all seem to enjoy being at work and Ms. Flavia is lovely.
The happiness and excitement that sweeps over our daughters face when we arrive at drop off is testament to the level of care that Ms. Soli, Ms. Stephanie, and all of the teachers bring to all the children. We are thrilled to be part of the MDCC family... and it honestly does feel like family.
Our son has been attending MDCC since he is 5 months old. He was with Ms. Soli and Ms. Jasmin, along with Ms. Ann and Ms. Amy, in the infant and cruisers class till he was 2 years old and all of them took such good care of him. They were posting pictures and videos of him in the app and we were able to see how he is doing during the day, which was very comforting when he was that young. Moving into toddler class with Ms. Diana and Ms. Brittany, he started learning a lot of things. They were very helpful with his English development, as he is bilingual. Now, he is with Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Destiny and he is loving every day of school. Even though he is the youngest in class, both of his teachers are putting a lot of effort to make sure he feels included and not left behind and we really appreciate this. Overall, we highly recommend MDCC, especially after the director, Ms. Flavias input on the curriculum, they are giving great care and preschool education for the kids. (As a side note, they are handling the COVID-19 pandemic very successfully, so bonus points to that!)
Our daughter has been attending MDCC for one year, and it has been great! I think as new parents we all have a bit of anxiety when needing to find childcare, but the MDCC team/staff has made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. I love that we are updated throughout the day on what shes doing or not doing :-) Ms. Soli is great because she keeps us updated and responds very quickly. I love that Ms. Flavia is always so helpful and open to our feedback. The safety and extra precautions taken during COVID has put us very at ease; although I do miss entering and interacting with her teachers more, the safety of all the littles is the main priority and I am so glad that I consistently see compliance.
We did a lot of research before choosing a great daycare in the area including google search, social media groups, and word-of-mouth. As nervous first time parents, it was very important for us to pick a reliable and caring childcare center for our child. Im very pleased with the childcare service of MDCC. We love their positive energy, great daily cares and activities that they provide for each child. Ms. Ann and Ms. Jazmin have been great caregivers for our child since Day 1. They are extremely loving and caring! My child LOVES playing with them everyday. Ms. Liz is phenomenal in assisting and educating younger children. We are impressed by her infant education involvement and communication with the parents. Lastly, the director Ms. Flavia has been great since we put our child in MDCC. She is very helpful and accessible. One time we thought that our sons shirt was missing, and she went through the security camera to find his shirt! Highly recommended.
I cannot say enough great things about Museum District Child Care Center. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. Every day when I drop of my child he is smiling and so excited to go to “school”. The attention that they give each and every child at the day care is amazing. Ms. Amy takes such good care of him until his teacher Ms. Z arrives. Ms. Z tells me that every morning when she arrives he gives her kisses. In the afternoon when I pick him up he is smiling and happy. They keep you updated on what is going on through their app, which is very appreciative. They always have fun little events for the kids. I could not ask for a better “school” for my son to be at while I am at work. I honestly do not worry about him at all during the day. Place your kids in this day care facility, you will be glad you did!
We’ve been really happy with the care provided by everyone at MDCC. On day one the whole team knew who I was and I felt safe and happy leaving our baby there. Communication is good from staff, and they use an app to instantly update parents on daily activities. Each teacher that has cared for our baby has been great but special kudos to Mrs. Ann, Amy and Mar – they have really made the transition to daycare easier.
We love Museum District Childcare! Very sweet, caring teachers. My baby would wiggle and smile as soon as we walk in the door she was always excited to be at daycare!
Very nice director, teachers and environment. Our two kids really like them. Although we relocated to other city, sometime we still revisit this school to meet our kids teachers and classmates when their current school close.
We were at MDCC for nearly four years. I can not say enough good things. The staff is loving. The attention they gave to both of my childrens needs were above and beyond. We looked at 5 other facilities before finding this gem. We felt lucky the entire 4 years we were there. I would gladly correspond via email if anyone has any questions.
We have had a great experience at MDCC! Our daughter loves all the teachers shes had in the infant room, and we trust their expertise and caring demeanor. She gets exposed to many fun activities and age-appropriate skills and information (colors, letters, numbers, animals...), and she has fun playing in safe activities both inside and outside. The directors and staff are very communicative and always make us and our daughter feel special and well taken care of. In particular, Miss Soli and Miss Jazmin have been standouts among a great group of staff members!
Great experience! We absolutely loved Ms Sally! I actually was sad that my child outgrew this place. He learned so much here! I have nothing negative to say!
We put our son in this MDCC when he was about 3 months old. We were so worried and hesitant for leaving him for whole day and would be constantly thinking about him while he was in daycare. But with the amazing and cheerful staffs and directors, it turned out be a really good experience for us. His first teacher Miss Amy is so loving and caring. We felt relaxed leaving our son with her as we felt she and other teachers really took very good care of him and other babies in her room. Now he has moved to next room where he is under super awesome care of Miss Zealous. Miss Z is amazing person, our son always smiles when he sees her and she always welcomes our son with lovely smile and open arms; she always have something fun to share when we pick him up! We feel that such teachers make this daycare really great and we are so happy to choose this daycare for our son. I will strongly recommend MDCC to all parents including first time parents like us...
We have been at MDCC for nearly 4 years and I have always felt safe and secure leaving my child here. Our teachers, Ms Stephanie, Ms Brittany, and Ms Diana, are wonderful. Our child has a lot of energy, and they handle it with ease. I often hear little fun stories about my childs day at pickup, and its a delight to see how much he learns while at MDCC.
My son has been attending MDCC since he was 6 weeks old and now he is over 2 years. He seems very happy and secure there, and loves playing in the big backyard. He has learned so much, including the alphabet, days of the week, colors, numbers, and even lessons on how to treat friends. The Directors, Ms. Sally and Ms. Beth, are always responsive to our questions and any issues that arise. We have had great experiences with all of his teachers, especially Ms. Soli, Ms. Ann, and Ms. Stephanie.
My son went to museum district child care center couple times for back up care. The first time Ive over heard a teacher yelled no really loud on the other side of the shelf before we could see anyone. The last time my son came home complaining not having lunch because there was not enough food, although Ive paid for the lunch. When I called the school, the teacher told me a complete different story stating my son couldnt finish his food. My son has been to two other regular preschools and two back-up care child care centers, and Ive never had an incidence that the teacher couldnt give me the facts . I wouldnt use this child care center again.
I toured the Museum District Child Care Center today as I am a physician that works in the Med Center and this was fairly close to work. I am writing this review as an alert to the parents there. While I was touring, an adorable little girl (looked like the 1+ age section, fair skin, dark hair, white bow clip in her hair, and blue clothes) was looking at me and my son, when the hand of a caregiver came out from behind a short wall and grabbed this little girls arm and yanked her behind the wall aggressively. This child was not misbehaving, just standing there quietly looking at us, and even if she was misbehaving, this is completely inappropriate. I looked over to see if she was hurt or crying, and immediately alerted Sally, who I was touring with. I dont think the caregiver knew I was there as she was behind a wall, but the other caregiver in the section said something to her and looked over at me after this occurred. Sally was very responsive, seemed very upset, and assured me that this kind of treatment is not tolerated. I was pretty shaken up by this, and cannot imagine placing my son here after what I saw. I have a hard time believing this is a lone incident but have no proof to say it wasnt. If the caregivers are stressed or overworked, then it should be addressed, as this is no way to treat any child.
My son started here 8 months ago in the infant class room. He is always smiling when I drop him off and when I pick him up. The teachers are always attentive and and friendly. There have been a couple times he has had a fever and they have called me immediately. I highly recommend MDCC to anyone, we love it!
We love this place! We have a newborn - we interviewed and toured so many places in the area - this was the cleanest and friendliest place we toured. Staff has been amazing - our little girl always seems at ease and smiling when shes dropped off and picked up. **Super clean and very well run** that was key in our decision making process.
The daycare staff and teachers are wonderful. A very CLEAN and organized place. Sally and Jeanette are unbelievably awesome and I would gladly recommend MDCC to anyone and everyone. My son is thriving here--the best choice Ive ever made.
Weve had our son here for a year and a half and have always been very pleased with the level of care provided. We moved to a different part of town and will be changing daycare as a result, but we have only good things to say about MDCC. The teachers are loving and attentive. The facility is clean, bright and cheerful. I would recommend this daycare to anyone I know.
Sally and all the staff at MDCC are just wonderful. You can really feel the warmth and genuine care that they have for your child, and the environment is comforting, welcoming, and happy. Since day 1, I have felt absolutely confident and secure dropping my daughter off, knowing that she will receive the best care possible. Even as she is going through a phase of separation anxiety, she is always happy to jump into the arms of her teachers in the morning who are just the sweetest people imaginable. They are deeply attentive and compassionate, from picking up on little low-grade fevers to noticing first teeth coming in to discussing budding personality traits. The facility is always extremely clean, well-kept, bright, and cheerful and we have had no problems or issues to report during our time there. I would recommend MDCC to anyone looking for a high-quality daycare in a heartbeat!
My daughter has been at MDCC for over 2.5 years now, with our son starting later this year. We have been fortunate to have such wonderful staff caring for and teaching our child. I searched many child care facilities on the Texas Health and Human services website, and felt relieved that this facility received high marks, with no reports or deficiencies. All staff members have been terrific from the infant side to the pre-school side. They are patient, invested in helping children learn and grow, and we are constantly amazed at what our daughter comes home telling us she has learned. The director, Sally, is passionate about her position, loves the students dearly, and is eager to assist in any way, if needed. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.
My daughter has attended MDCCC for about 2 years now. She loves it, has had no issues, and regularly learns new things from her STEAM curriculum that she shares at home.
