Beautiful gardens! They had the Holiday Event going on in the afternoon so all the Christmas decorations were beautiful, sadly we where too early for that. The gardens are more of a spring than winter garden so I do look forward to returning but it was a beautiful place to sit and chat in the cool weather
Beautiful garden. To enter you have to cross the suspension bridge. Bayou Bend is the former home of Houston philanthropist Ima Hogg. You can tour the house and see how they lived. (You cant carry strollers, water, and food inside. You can take photos without flash)Park is clean and well-maintained. There is a port-a-potties near the parking lot and there is a restroom inside the facility too.Have a fairly small parking lot. Not wheelchair accessible.
Go when the azaleas are blooming in March. The gardens are great, but the house isnt so special.
Grounds were nice, streams and fountains are pretty. Little more expensive than it was worth for the garden only tour. Maybe better if you look inside the house too.
Family day is once a month on a Sunday. Activities, entertainment. Gardens and bridge are beautiful. It kind of gives you a feel of what uber-wealth felt like several generations ago.
Very nicely decorated for Christmas, beautiful gardens, my son especially loved the nice display of choo choo trains running around the tree. The water fountain was a big hit as well. Will be back for sure.
Beautiful and peacfull place - good for jog or run and for time with the kids
The ground are relatively small but nice but not worth the price.
Grounds are stunning. House is charming.
The grounds and house are beautiful!
Very nice for walking, bicycle...
