We went here for the first time tonight and it was so fun! The staff was friendly, food was great, facility was clean, and theres lots to do. Highly recommend.

Great time for kids and friends. The bar is nice tends to be chilly bring a jacket.

Bowling and the arcade was fun. Didnt try the bumper cars. Was a little on the pricey side but not too far out there. Good time overall with good family and friends.

It was ok. Kids was disappointed that some of the stuff on the website was no longer available. No laser tag at all. Wristbands not available due to covid which is understandable. However it would been nice if it had been posted on Facebook or the website before the 30+ minute drive.

Wow !! Best time in a long time !! Hamburgers and beer and family. Met new people. Clean n friendly atmosphere. Great place to have good clean fun. And by the way I am 69 years old. That should tell you something.

Good fun. Very rundown. Needs an upgrade in my opinion. The guy seemed very annoyed when the kids wanted to ride the bumper cars over and over. They had bands that allowed them to ride over and over. Understaffed for birthday parties. They need to have at least 2 people working birthday parties.

Make sure you go in for a kids party package before ordering one on line or over the phone the flyer vs. the website details are completely different details. The pizza was handed out on plates individually and the drinks were already in cups without them asking which one wants what drink. Check out place before deciding to do anything here at this place!

Not to bad. Arcade is fun with lots of good games. Wish they had more Bowling lanes however.

It is an awesome place to spend some time with your friends

Online it was not specified that the first hour of of the day was to be a purchased time slot. My friends and I showed up and were told to leave until the hour was over. We came back and started with the bowling, it was not cheap, and the pin machine broke after one 7 pin shot. Everything was sticky and had the installed in 1980s, not updated since vibe to it.Then we went to the bumper cars, the cars were huge! The area was not, 1 bumper car took up roughly 1/6 of the whole area allotted to bumper cars, and there was only 3 cars and I had 4 in my group... We skipped bumper cars.Mini golf? More lile microscopic golf, the bumper cars may have had more room, but not by more than 15 square feet! Mini golf took only 3 feet from start to hole 1. Then 3 feet to hole 2, and so on.The arcade was closest to expecatation, but instead of quarters, you had to prepay on a card, and everything was $1 or more, up to I believe the unbelievable price of $5 for 1 arcade game.

I go here all the time at least 2 to 3 times a week to bowl and it’s amazing. They have amazing lanes with different oil patterns and great employees.

Just went here for the first time. It was kinda busy so we had to wait on a lane to open. In the mean time my girlfriend and I decided to get something to eat. The food was fantastic and prices were decent, $2 and some change for a decent sized chicken wrap. When it came to bowling with it being busy it became difficult to find a ball that was proper size. Not to mention I felt the front of the lanes couldve been waxed a little better. I like to slid into my throw and about tripped on more than one occasion. The people beside us were being rowdy and tossing balls around and horse playing. Pretty sure employees seen this going on, but nothing was done about even after a ball hit me in the ankle. Other than that I had a wonderful experience as the score keepers are up to date and the venue seems up to date and girlfriend and I had a pretty competitive game. They have an arcade that is decent for what it is, a mini golf course that is alright from what I seen, and bumper cars not sure. Long story short I would go again, but this place does need some minor adjustments when it comes to how things are operated.

Went to bowl a game or two. Had four adults and two kids wanting to bowl, the guy told us that six people was too much for one lane and would take to long to finish a game. Decided to use the arcade instead, after an hour we came back through the bowling alley and only three lanes were being used out of 16 lanes. Two of those lanes had four and five people on them with kids. The individual that didnt allow us to bowl was very rude. After our experience there will not be four of us adults returning.

Bowling alley was fun, clean and well kept. They had a food area did not get the chance to try it out. The arcade was fun small but good coop games there, also have bumper cars. Down side you cant do the bumper cars if you been drinking. I get the reason but there goes along the fun when you serve alcohol. The AC was out in the arcade. Dont know if this is a common occurrence but it would explain why some of their games crash at times. These units are not drained to operate in heat. Pool hall looks in good shape will check that out next visit.

Enjoyed a fun filled family evening there. The lanes were new and functioned flawlessly. The arcade was just big enough to have the games my kids enjoy but not so large as to be overwhelming. The bumper cars were a blast despite there only being 5 of 6 operational. Southern Lanes is a fantastic option for family fun in Hopkinsville.

You need to have too jobs to have any fun

Never again will we be coming here. Got stuck on lane 15, after spending almost $50! My husband had to keep going up to the desk to ask them to get the balls sent back EVERY round and it took THEM FOREVER

The bar was awful. The bartender was very unclean. she seriously wiped her nose with her hand and grabbed my glass.

Awesome. Sundays 12 to 9pm is unlimited bowl for $12 bucks unbelievable we were there for 6 hours my son loved it.

The bowling is fun and priced great. However, the putt-putt and bumper cars are disappointing and completely over priced for how small the area is. There is an arcade, and that is decent. The snack bar is great, its typical bowling alley food. There is a bar, but I havent gone inside that part, as it is in a separate room than the rest of the center. From my understanding smoking is allowed in the bar part. Which brings me to my next point, the entire place reeks of cigarette smoke. Its gross. The place has been recently remodeled, but that smell will still be there as long as they allow smoking in the bar.*Update* my husband and I went to the bowling alley on a busy weekend night. With that being said, it wasnt crowded at all. We visited the bar, and smoking is not allowed in the bar. I didnt notice any smell of cigarettes this time! The bartender was great. She was a lot of fun to hang out with. There are a couple pool tables in the bar. The bar closes early at 11 p.m. I still dont recommend the bumper cars or putt-putt.

This is a good place for kids and grown ups. They have a bar and food. A nice game room and a beautiful bowling alley.

Who has league night on a Friday from 6 pm to 10pm? Asked to bowl a game before that and was rudely denied. They will never get my business and highly recommend never coming to this bowling alley. Extremely rude service and poor business planning. I will happily drive to Bowling Green the next time I want to bowl.

Ive been to this remodeled establishment on 2 separate occasions. The first time was rather pleasant with no problems, but tonight was a different story. I arrived and was told by a young male with red hair that it would be a 2 hr wait, as I looked at the list I only saw 4 names so I asked why such a long wait and was told that most ppl was playing 2 games. I said okay that was fine and we would wait. As I waited, I played a few games. The basketball game took my money because the balls were flat, they got stuck and didnt release when the game started. I didnt have a problem with that because I was given another try by the staff. I then went to the bar area for a few, and returned back up front to see how far along we had moved up on the waiting list, but only to find one name marked off ahead of us. So I then went to sit by the entrance. As I sat there I watched at least 2 groups get to bowl before us. I didnt say anything because I thought they were ones listed before us, so my bf went back again to be told we had 3 ahead of us. At that moment, my bf told me he saw names under ours marked out on the waiting list. I told him maybe he didnt see it correct. We sat there another 20 min, and this time I witnessed a group come straight in and got to bowl and then another group we knew arrived after us got to bowl, so I went back up front and witnessed the red headed gentleman mark this group off of the bottom of the list. He saw me watching and it was at this point that he said I can get you all next. A female staff member stood beside him and I told both of them that they just skipped all over the waiting list but didnt receive a response from either. I will not return to an establishment that doesnt give everyone a fair chance to enjoy a quality leisure experience. This was my last visit

I only rated this a 1 star because I could not write review without clicking on one. This place is horrible and the manager she was very nasty and RUDE! It took everything in my not to go off on her! One of the employees walked out and I don’t blame her! The service and food sucked and I won’t be wasting my money there again!

Nice to have something to do in hoptown again. I enjoyed southern lanes in bowling green ky as well. I was glad when they took over the one in hopkinsville.

If youre looking for entertainment this is the best and only place to go in hopkinsville period.

Had Fun With The family

My family and i enjoy going here! Great having something that my kids can enjoy doing here in town! Really enjoy the cosmic bowling on friday and saturday nights. Definetly will continue to go and enjoy the center.

We have been to the remodeled southern lands for bowling and have had a good time just bowling a few games with the family. However I do not recommend having a birthday party here!! I was very disappointed. We had a birthday party at the remodeled Southern Lanes in Hopkinsville in March 2019. The kids all had a great time but the details of the party, the part room, host and the customer service provided by servers/staff was absolutely unpleasant. Nothing was explained very well, we had to track down our host every time we needed something or had a question. The party room was not in good condition....from the “used” table cloth that had several holes and rips in it, to the water dripping into one of the seats from the cieling leaking (they had a bucket hanging from the cieling but it was not catching the water.) We ordered pepperoni pizzas and cheese pizzas. I asked them to bring it to the party room so that I could find out what kind each child wanted and serve accordingly. The host agreed. Then a rude lady came and told me that It was against policy to do it that way. Instead of bringing the whole pizza to the room so that we could serve they carried each plate to the room for us to serve as needed, their policy is to place 2 slices per plate and carry it one by one to the party room. By the time everyone got their pizza, it was cold. The party cups are small and only one cup of drink is provided with the party package. I ordered an extra pitcher of drink for the adults and no cups were provided. Plates for the food was also not provided. When I asked about the plates they told me that “it was not part of what was provided and as the parent I should have confirmed before my party, that if it was her child she would have asked ahead of time”. RUDE!! I advised her I did call and ask about what was provided...I was told they had plates. Also, that one would assume that if pizza was ordered then plates would be provided with it. The lady then raised her voice at me and pushed the blame back onto me, that this was my fault for not asking ahead of time. (Although I clearly told her that I did ask the man who booked my party and was told something different.) Then my son was supposed to get a blue bowling pin for guest to sign. We were told they were out of blue so they gave him a hot pink one instead, and told us that if we wanted to bring it back later unsigned then they would switch it out for a blue one. The purpose of this pin is to have friends sign it. I cant be expected to go track everyone back down at a later date to have them sign it.Overall I was extremely disappointed and will not recommend having a birthday party here.
