The perfect place for the billiard/pinball player! (and yes there is high overlap in these two activities) great rates on the slate tables and cheap plays on the glass tables! PIN-thusiasts can also enjoy great pinball related lore from the walls.

Really cools spot. Can bring food and drinks inside. Just make sure to bring cleaning wipes as when we picked up the pool sticks they felt greasy. Owner has a friendly cat that will beg for food if you have it.

Such a fun place to go with very well cared for Pinball Machines. The owner always makes you feel so welcomed.

Horrible experience. I have a medical exemption from wearing a mask approved by my doctor. The owner demanded that I wear one. When I said I was exempt, He ACTUALLY asked me what my medical condition was. I said I don’t have to disclose that. He then kicked me out.

The atmosphere was good and there were plenty fun pinball machines, however it was lacking quite a bit of amenities that other pinball locations had. Amenities such as bathrooms and a machine to convert cards or cash into quarters. Bring lots of quarters beforehand. You currently need to go to the owner to change cash only into quarters to play. Two out of the four times I went to the counter he had left to walk his dog or was in a long conversation with people ignoring the line to the counter.

Great place with a solid selection, a really nice owner and a sweet doggo. For a fun easter egg check out all the pictures of doggo on the pinball machine screens.

$8 will get you an hour of pool. Pinball has a great variety and prices are great. Next door in the strip mall is great street tacos, gyros, Chinese and an ice cream shop is opening soon.

Was there again tonight after Twins game. Lloyd is great his machines are in great condition! I recommend SS to anyone because it is a throwback to how places were when we were kids.... with modern pins. Top notch selection and service!Was at SS Again last night 9/6/2020. Clean great working machines and great service.

Good prices, great customer service, & friendly people. The equipment is in good condition and the staff takes care of you. I once put too much money in a pinball machine and the owner informed me I still had credits after switching games. :)

What they have outweighs how its displayed but even thats not bad by any means. Met at door by sweetest little pup. Employee (owner?) Was funny and personable. Many pool tables and pinball machines. Average prices. Almost 5 stars!

I am not an arcade enthusiast. Just someone looking for a great place to have a date night where we can actually DO something together. We liked it so much we took our kids the next week. LOVE it that it doesnt have alcohol so I dont mind my kids going there on their dates either. This classic joint is worth more than 5 stars.

Laid back place, only a vending machine for snacks, good pool tables. Old school vibe. We played pool for over an hour but the owner charged us for less time. I can see why this place has good reviews. Definitely a nice place to take your kid or hang out outside of a bar.

Love the dog, she deserves 5 stars alone

Fun place if you want to talk/play a bit of pinball.

I should love a place with large pool tables and legit pinball machines. But SS is missing on the details. The place is empty. The door was locked when I got there in the middle of the day. It smells like dog. The rails of the pool tables are dead; balls make a terrible thud sound when they bounce irregularly off the rails. The rail covers are poorly installed and the tables arent very level. One cant just recover the table and not do the rails. I didnt even use the scary bathroom. The lighting is hideous with typical flourescent shop lights in the ceiling flooding the room with a dingy, yellow atmosphere; there are not actual pool table lights. No one else played pool while I was there. I dont suppose I will return. I understand its hard to run a business, but this place needs a make over.

One of my favorite places for a low key hang out in the Twin cities. Once you walk in you are welcomed by the owners dog Prada and Lloyd himself. A great selection of pinball games and 5 full size pool tables for play.

Awesome place to play pinball and pool. Located in the strip mall off of 11th Avenue. A cute white dog named Prada will meet you as you come in. Hes friendly and open to belly-rubs. Rent a pool table for a few hours for under $20. Pin ball games cost anywhere from 25 cents to 75 cents. Would highly recommend this spot for a night out or date night.

Always a treat to steal an hour at lunch and play pinball.

Ok. There are too few places to shoot pool in the west twin city burbs, too start. SS IS IN HOPKINS, MN. The owner is great to converse with, & grew up in N.E. Mpls. His forte is pinball & there are plenty of machines. check it out

Outstanding pinball! Machines perfectly maintained by a master who takes pride in his equipment. All rubber is tight and new, all lights, bumpers and plungers in working order. Such great entertainment that may not be around much longer. Hopefully, with these kind of people and places, it will survive for our children.

This is my absolute main go to pinball destination.

Nice place to play pool. Nice tables. Also no alcohol so its a decent place without the madness in a bar. Mostly family place . Prices as of this review are $8 for an hour of pool for 1 to 4 players

Great place for some billards and a few hard to find pinball.i would have spent twice as much money if the games were better maintained. The standard may be a little higher now with places like Tilt and Up Down. Im critical though.the twilight zone machine needs wok. the game is altered. an after market bumper creates a dead end( right side in front). youll see it because it makes no sense to have.also if you have 75 cent machines. give the player a 5 second shoot again.....some thing.... anything.

Take the kids to experience real pinball and billiards, good local down home feel. Arcade games! 1 hour of fun 20 bucks.

I go to SS Billiards all the time with my dad and we have a great time. You pay a lot less to play amazing games, unlike other pinball places that are overpriced. P.S. the dog Prada loves belly rubs!

This place is super cool and chill. Never crowded. Many pool tables and tons of classic and new, top of the line pinball tables. An inexpensive night out.

A lot of fun.

Came in to play some pinball. Read reviews saying plays were expensive. If you want to know it’s $0.75 to $1 per 3 ball play on most machines. Was slightly disappointed in that some of the functionality of the machines were not up to snuff. The Pirates of the Caribbean machine the sails didn’t flop down like the should on the boat, on dialed in the phone did not work at all and in wizard of oz the play field GI lights were dimmed so low we could not see the ball on the play field, it was nearly impossible to play. The flippers were weak on corvette among others and there were dirty play fields on a lot of the pins. I was expecting a bit more for such a high price of pay. I may be nit picking here but another local joint I was at last week had similar machines for $0.50 a play and they were all fully functional and working perfectly. Especially a brand new dialed in that the phone (main part of the game) isn’t working is a big let down. If he could fix some of these issues on the machines I would gladly come back, but for $1 a play I will continue to look elsewhere.

This place has nearly 20 fully functioning machines and an owner who is super friendly! I would highly recommend coming here. Play pinball with the locals.

Its Minnesotas oldest arcade for a reason. A pinball and pool hall at its core.

I really want to like this place more, but with all the new bars having 25 cent games and beer/entertainment I cant justify going back.

Always a good time visiting SS Billiards, Llyod is nice and his little dog (Prada) is friendly and always looking for a belly rub. Plenty of pinball games to choose from, with some new and old ones. 5 pool tables to use so if most of the pinball are in use you can always pay for an hour of pool and jump on pinball after. Classic arcade game too with many choices like donkey kong, Pac man, galiga, dig dug, frogger and many more.Good place to come hang out for a bit with friends or bring the kids and let them try some fun pinball games.
