I needed a soft pad for my dog to make a doggy bed for her and that I could cut up to make a special one for the car, after several overpriced or missing products at other stores I tried Michaels and it was exactly what I needed and a fifth of the price bc it was not name brand etc but just as good!! Super nice lady checked me out too!! No issue when I forgot my mask also they offered me a new one if I wanted it but without pressing me so appreciate that too! 5 stars !

They have the Christmas stuff out. This is a good time to go especially if you like to give handmade gifts. I like to go in this store. Seeing everything first hand gives me new ideas. Not the same as online for me. Employees are courteous and helpful.

Yesterday evening on 10/23/2020; I had one of the most prejudice and humiliating experiences with the closing manager at the register while making my purchase.As a crafter and decor consultant I spend way too much money at many craft stores; Michaels Stores being one of them, to be profiled and disrespected the way I was last evening.I will not be spending anymore of my hard earned money at this location or at any of your other locations due to your management staff at your Hoover location.The way I was mistreated and profiled is disgusting and unacceptable.It is truly sad and unfortunate the example of leadership you have in place that’s exemplifying hateful and prejudice behaviors to the other employees on how to treat your customers...This is unacceptable Michaels Stores.You need to do better.

One of the biggest Michaels Ive ever been to and I LOVE it

They moved the online purchase pick up to the front classroom of the store. You dont find that out until you walk all the way to the back where all of the signs are telling you to go back to the front and see a cashier. Slows the online pick up process down quite a bit because you still have to stand in the regular line to see a cashier, who then has to call a manager, who then has sends someone out to classroom. There were 2 employees in the classroom but no one holding your bag ready. Still had to do a check out process.Plus classroom makes you feel all closed in. Dont forget to have your id for pick up.Could have just went in store shopped as normal. It would have taken same amount of time. Hopefully they will fix that process to flow better.Besides that the employees were very nice and helpful and the store was clean.

Every time I order from this store to pick up in store they never meet my expectations. I have placed multiple orderS at this store and have had to call EVERY SINGLE TIME to get them to even put my order together.

Small selection of solid color HTV vinyl and cricut items were slim. Didnt get anything this shopping trip but I probably will next time!

Great selection on items I needed to make some gifts. The staff are very helpful and they offer classes on crafts. Right now their Christmas decorations and trees are in stock and on sale. We got some wonderful bargains.

Very helpful at check out. I had an issue with not being able to order online and pick up in store with a Halloween Trunk or Treat item they advertised with a coupon. The lady at checkout handled everything for me!! Very pleased with her great attitude and will definitely be back!

Stopped on a road trip to pick up a 12x12 halloween paper pack. I searched all of the halloween items and then paper crafts with no luck. Found a male associate to ask if hes seen them and he rushed to get rid of me telling me that theyde be with halloween and thats all out... The store was a complete mess and there was stacks of boxes about 6 ft tall x 8 ft wide x 10 ft long and about 6 - 8 carts of boxes... but all Halloween is out. Only leaving 2 stars because the one female associate was extremely friendly.

Love Michaels. I could spend all day browsing the merch. Customer service is ok, not exceptional. They will help you of you ask but never go out of their way to ask you first.

Every time I order online to pick up locally the tied bags only have one of each item in it when I often order two or more of several items, always double check your bags!

This store is better than the one in Bessemer. More items, more employees at hand. That being said, its still a Michaels store and doesnt compare to JoAnn.

Came in this store with my sister and granddaughter who wanted a journal that is written in and destroyed. Something the young kids do.Used the 20 0/0 off coupon on this item.My sister purchased many things and again used a coupon for 20 0/0 off. Not a bit crowded so we got in and out fairly quickly.

Michaels is the craft dream store . They have just about everything you need for making great crafts.

This location of Michaels is very conveniently located. I shop here for some of my cake decorating supplies. They are a little limited in that department.

The staff is always helpful in helping you find what you need asking the right questions and giving hints whenever possible. With their help your craft ideas can really come out well.

They are hands down the craft place to go. They have great prices and coupons. They are very helpful and know where the stuff is located. Great customer service. The framing department does an outstanding job. Even if you are not a Martha Stewart this place will help you become one. It is great for holiday decorations. Conveniently located and liberal return policy. I will definitely return.

The store is clean and organized. Some of their items can be a little overpriced. But there is always coupons on their app. The service is always good. Employees are friendly. The only problem I ‘be had is with the shopping wheelchair. Currently, I can’t walk very well without severe pain. So I had to use the shopping wheelchair. It was rigged together on one side with a piece of wire. And it seems there was only one. Disabled people craft more than the able bodied. One chair that isn’t up to par is not acceptable.

Used to be awesome, I loved to go here for everything it was neat and organized . But they got new employees and it is HORRIBLE . There are boxes in the back where I get my embroidery floss that almost fell on me . Safety Violation, they never have anything in stock for jewelry. AND Worst of all an employee lied to my face by saying she gave me my change when she stole it . Idk what happened but this micheal needs there old employees back that aren’t LAZY

This was my first time at this location. Its nice, but its not like the ones in GA.Theyre not as stocked or have the variety, but the staff was friendly.

I absolutely love Michaels and so do my kids! My kids love to do the crafts on the weekend. I love it when they do the crafts too so I can shop in peace. I try really hard not to miss craft Saturdays because if I do, I will have to do crafts at the house and I am not a crafty person.

Grabbed some Christmas sticking suffers. They have a great selection of squishy toys. I was able to find many items from my to do list. Love visiting this Michaels location. It was crowded as it was just before Christmas but plenty of cashiers available so the wait was not long.

This is a great place I go for so many things—especially those you can’t find anywhere else.

Michaels is the real MVP when Im shopping for holidays. The coupons snd deals are amazing- its crazy. The quality is great, and theres always something interesting to see.

I like the great variety of craft goods here, as well as the good prices (of course). The staff are friendly, and ready to help you find things at need.The stores hours and location are convenient too.

I love the management here so nice. However, Hollie and Denise are worst then the wicked witch of the west. They are always rude. Denise has even yelled at me. I thought it was they had a bad day the first 2 times they were rude but its every single time. How do you yell at a customer? No excuse for yelling at a customer.

Nice craft store.

The store is always neat and well-stocked but the staff is not friendly at all. I had to walk all over the store to find an employee so I could ask if a certain product was in stock, and when I did find someone, they told me to go check on a certain aisle but I still couldn’t find what I was looking for. The cashier who rang me up for some other things I purchased was very impersonal too. Customer service is more important today than it was even 2 years ago, and I have never received any type of customer service in this store.

My kids love to get crafting materials here and I love to shop around.

I had a 40% coupon on my receipt from last purchase. It was not a sale item. I presented the coupon and the cashier gave me the total but no discount. I gave him my email and phone number and said something like it couldnt take that item for discount. I took my receipt and left my items on the counter and left the store and will not return. False advertisement saying any one item would get a discount.

Worst experience. Went to go get vinyl for my fiance. I dont know what the sh*t I am doing in a craft store, but figured the associates would be educated on the products they sell. Nope. Asked the cashier if the vinyl I purchased was heat transfer twice to ensure I got the right product. She said yes. When I get home and give it to my fiance, she says thats not heat transfer vinyl. Of course. I drive all the way back to the store in Hoover and explain what happened and asked if they had the color I wanted in heat transfer. I basically was told to find what I wanted myself and was rushed to check out. I did find what she wanted (with her help) and of course it costs double what the other product of the same brand does. Ill just shop online from now on.

A good a Michaels a any. Im always able to find what I need and the layout is pretty straight forward.

They had a great sale on planner related items but no planners on the shelves. Its aggravating that retailers give their customers coupons after a purchase is made. Wouldnt it be nice if they did so before the purchase so the coupons could be used at that time. Just my opinion!

This place is a family favorite for us. Anything the artist in your family needs is here. From novice (me) to the experienced (my entire family) Michaels is a great crafting store. Michaels even has crafting classes you and your family can take. The crafting classes is favorite for our kids. Any craft you do any art you make this store has what youre looking for. Employees are friendly and extremely knowledgeable for which I am definitely greatful.

Its a giant chain, not too sure what else to say. They had everything I needed in stock and the prices seemed decent. Had to wait a while at the checkout because of a customer who went back into the store to get something else, but that was it.

Went in to find 4 simple boxes to store heirloom Christmas ornaments in as gifts and found. 4 beautiful chest to.store them in.These too will now become treasured family hearlooms as well.Cant wait to give the grandchildren their gifts.
