Artists on the Bluff

I stopped in to talk with some of the artists and we had lunch. I had the meatloaf, mac and cheese and the strawberry cobbler. I didnt know there was such a thing! It was wonderful! A lot of locals were there so it must be a favorite place.

12:45 on a Saturday, my husband and I had lunch here.My choices were fried catfish, green beans and mixed greens. The catfish was slightly warm in the center and cool everywhere else. A lot of ketchup allowed a few bites of the center to be consumed. It also had a STRONG muddy taste. The green beans had so much salt that they were unidentifiable as green beans. The mixed greens were blandly average. The hush puppies were ok.My husband had meatloaf, whole kernel corn, and butter peas. The meatloaf had a bit too much bread crumbs and it lacked any seasoning flavor. The red sauce on top had a strong cinnamon flavor that was unpleasant. The corn was tough like it had been frozen too long, or was old, or was cooked too long. Flavor-wise it lacked any at all and was a bit pasty. The butter peas had the greatest potential but over salting drowned their flavor.

Took a class there.
