Friday nights here are great. View of the fireworks is amazing and people are very willing to take you out for a cruise if you want. The live bands have also been great.Staff is incredibly friendly and has a great memory of all the members.For food I recommend the Reuben and the Creme Brulee. Prices are very reasonable for both food and alcohol.

Only the best! Waikiki Yacht Club is our go to place when on Oahu for great meals, hanging with friends, great views and beverages, and pool/sun time.Update May 19, 2019. Waikiki Yacht Club just concluded their 75th Anniversary Weekend, festivities started Friday evening, continued Saturday and Sunday. Visited the club from Southern California for Transpac 2019. Excellent hospitality, excellent facility, excellent views! Buy a boat and join the club!

The one older front door lady is rude and treats invited guests like unwanted criminals. As the first face you see when entering the clubs, its pretty bad. We will be pursuing club membership across the harbor at Hawaii Yacht Club where we were embraced upon our first visit as guests.

Private club for those who love boating/sailing, or exclusivity. My dads been a member for decades, and a few of his racing trophies are there on display. I learned to sail there, loved to swim in the pool, and only a couple of times went into the Ala Wai Canal. As an adult, I can appreciate a well made vodka soda, a cold beer, and the simple pleasure of sitting around talking story with my girlfriend. I only hope the next time I can time it better so the kitchen and the little store will be open. I would have loved some pupus & a chance to buy my hubs a Hawaiian shirt. Next time...

An aging club with serious sailors that has a prime spot of land that winds like a ribbon along one side of the mouth of the Ala wai canal opens to support Yacht slips. Great views of the harbor and the Friday fireworks!

Laid back open air overlooking the marina in Honolulu. Transient stop over for sailors coming and going from the main land. Good people and interesting stories floating around the bar.

Amazing service, good food. The waitress Aleena really cared for us making sure what ingredients were in the food due to a gluten allergy. We came back two days later and she remembered all of our drinks and food orders. How can I get her to move to my city?

The yacht club is a great place to visit and fortunately we have friends that are members there. If we decided to move to Hawaii I would make sure I belong to the yacht club and the Elks Lodge two great places in Honolulu. Stephen and Nancy White

Im not a member but able to come here to attend a Mardi Gras party. Great place located in such a beautiful spot. It is right on the water looking out to the sea and the view at sunset is spectacular. The parking is very far and since I am on heels, I did not enjoy the walk from the parking area to the venue. Once inside, I find the place small with a tiny dance floor. The food is very expensive and not good. The server didnt come back to check on us. Overall, it is an okay experience but I am not encouraged to become a member of this yacht club.

We found this little gem last week while straying a bit away from the Waikiki Beach/Hotel Strip. Although a private club, we were welcomed as visiting yacht club members from Chicagos Columbia Yacht Club. The people, the surroundings, the food were second to none. Clifford at the bar took great care of us and members were quite eager to engage us in great conversation. We were happy to make some new friends here and look forward to returning next time were in town!

The Waikiki Yacht Club is an incredible venue with an outstanding aloha ethic and a beautiful community spirit. The food and drink is exquisite and surprisingly reasonable considering normal Honolulu prices. Amazing views, relaxing vibe, live music on Friday nights and heaps of themed events. Welcoming and helpful members and staff.

Love Waikiki Yacht Club grew up there sailing and my brother Richard just finished the TransPac race at 4 in the morning and they graciously hosted our reunion party with the sailors families. Grand Illusion was the only Hawaiian boat in the Trans Pacific race from California that took approximately 9 days to cross 2500 miles good job Reilly

As members of the Bellingham Yacht Club we were welcome guests here using there pool and enjoying a delicious dinner with an amazing view at the fireworks and the marina. Wonderful food and hospitality.

Waikiki Yatch Club and Hawaii Yatch Club along with Kaneohe Yatch Club hosted the 2017 Trans Pac Yatch race from Long Beach Harbor to Honolulu Harbor. All Yatch Clubs are social clubs that require membership. They offer lots of fun activities for their members and guess.

Just a great place, I spent the seventies at the Bar, I had more fun than is legal with Benny and the guys. Coming back in June.

OKTOBERFEST HOWEVER, WAS A TOTAL MISNOMER!THE RETURN OF FOOD ON THE MANY DINNER PLATES OF THE HIGHLY ADVERTISED $30.- MEAL WAS A DISASTER AND PROOF OF A TERRIBLE CHEF WITH ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE OR FEELING FOR GERMAN FOOD. ONLY THE SELECTED NAMES WERE MOUTHWATERING AND INVITING. EXCEPT FOR THE GOOD BAVARIAN VANILLA CREAM AND THE RASPBERRY COULIS, THE REST WAS PRETTY MUCH A DISASTER! THE 8 DISHES FROM THE HOT STATION WERE THE WORST. NOT EVEN THE BLACK FOREST CAKE WAS ANYTHING LIKE OUR SCHWARTZWAELDER KIRSCH TORTE! Lovers of sailing should visit Waikiki Yacht Club when they are in Hawaii. As a kid in the 80s I was in their Junior Sailing program for several years. Not only did it make me a confident sailor, but I developed many great friendships and a sense of belonging to the club (all those long hours Id have to hang out there with my parents). Friday nights yachts from all over the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor head out around 5pm for the Friday NIght Fun Race. Even if you dont have a ride, you can usually just show up and ask around if you see a boat getting ready to head out. Everyone is happy to have you along as crew, if you show up with a six pack of beer!After the race stick around and have a nice dinner in the dining room, or check out the pupus menu at the bar (great burgers, mahi mahi, steak, and more...). Oh and the popcorn is always free and available self-serve next to the bar after 5pm!
