Pretty easy to find, really sticks out. If youre looking to park then go to Lab Diagnostic Services, this is the right place. Its a little tricky to find from the parking garage elevator but turn right off of the elevator, walk down the hall towards the small staircase, then turn left. It will be on your left, facing the street you pull into the parking garage off of.

What a well done museum! If you have interest in Japanese Hawaiian history, including internment, this is your place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

I attended a Lecture in one of their Meeting Rooms. The atmosphere was very inviting. Very clean and organized. The chairs arranged perfectly. The refreshments were spot on. The Hot Coffee was hot. The Iced Water was cold. Ample cups for our large group. The service people were attentive, quiet and efficient.

I liked the beauty of the amazing environment.

Had a great time at the New Years Festival held at the Japanese Cultural Center. Authentic traditions were explored and hands-on exhibits were displayed for optimal learning experience.

Go visit their powerful permanent exhibition, Okage Sama De. I went on assignment but ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Very well put together and moving!

This beautiful center offers all things to learn about Japanese culture. Including traditional Butoh Dance technique with Lori Ohtani.

Attended a lunch here. I highly enjoyed all the people and the food. There were plenty of outdoor seating and it was very neat and clean.

We went there for a college orientation and Q&A. The parking was abundant which is a good way to start. The ballroom area was spacious and there was a view. The restrooms are clean and the ballroom was nice. The doors were left open so it was a little warm since coffee and snacks were being served. Overall it was a pleasant experience, all except the price of the college tuition but thats not JCCs fault.

This venue is oftentimes more convenient and practical for small to medium size events. The food caterer is good and the facilities are well kept. Parking fee is on the high end, but probably cheaper than venues in Waikīkī hotels. I enjoy coming here!

Enjoyed the atmosphere at this wonderful well organized pageant event. Host were funny and very knowledgeable and comforting.

The banquet halls upstairs are big and the food I really enjoy. The actual center downstairs is really interesting to walk through and learn about. It also has a dojo center in the back portion. Looking to go here to check out the Japanse Ctural Center showrooms, there is parking available and there is a small parking fee.

This place was awesome & banging. Thank you to all the waiters there for serving us the food & drinks; it was all delicious. Hope to come back here next time. Keep up the good work guys!

Been to the Moana Ball rooms a number of times. Always friendly staff and food is very good.

Validated parking $8 with validation at a banquet there food was cold

I used to take this place for granted. I only knew it for banquets, business interactions, and the like that would go on there for university students.That is up until recently, when I took a class on Japanese American history with professor Ogawa. Geez, what a gift he and this center are to this community. Such important, valuable stories are held in its exhibits, articulated beautifully and presented just as such.If you get the chance, definitely take the time to check them out (exhibit titles in the pic attached). The perspective they provide are worth the time.

Parking facility was sort of spooky to navigate through at night ... poor signage.Room used for cooking seminar however was very adequate.

I attended a credit union function here with my sister. Couldnt wait to enter the buffet line. The food selections were great! They served this cake for desert that was excellent! The room was nice, but a little on the chilly side. The staff was friendly and very on top of their job.

Highly educational and enlightening experience. Was amazed to learn of the slavery in Hawaii and the mis-treatment of the people. Everyone on the island should visit this eye&heart opening museum.

FOOD: Lots of oishii (delicious) food. Personal favorites were the grilled mochi with nori and fresh andagi that we always get every year. The trick is to go early to avoid the lines. This year we went not that long after the event started and encountered no lines.PARKING: This year because of construction at the parking lot near the UH Law Library they moved the shuttle pick up to near the Clarence T.C. Ching Field with parking at UH parking structure free during the event that day. That made parking a breeze with a lot of available parking and handicap parking stalls. Plus there were at least 4 buses that were shuttling people back and forth.Definitely will be back next year!!

Best place to learn about the Japanese in Hawaii with staff always ready to answer questions and share resources.

Caution. The parking is expensive... Even 15 minutes will cost $6.00! No human attendant so it is hard to get out of this parking money trap.
