It quite an easy trail to do. It’s safe: trail is paved and has rail handle, bathroom and gift shops. You have to pay $1 fee to gain access.

Though the hike to the top is at your own pace it is well worth the trip. The view is beautiful and breathtaking. Rest assured that it will not disappoint. The top can get really crowded but you should be able to manage a some real estate for your photo angle of choice. Parking is quite challenging and ensure to take plenty of water.

Very nice place for hiking. It gets busy on certain days. It took me and my husband 35-40 minutes getting to the top. Love taking a sip of their delicious fresh pineapple slushy after a good hike. Would love to go there again when we go back to Hawaii.

You looking for a way to burn those calories from a night of drinking and reep the rewards of some of Hawaiis majestic scenary, well heres your place. You only need to pay for parking to get real close. If your up to the walk, parkoutside and make the walk in. I think its a 1.5 mile walk from the closest point. Dont worry if you dont make it through the long tunnels, youll see so much on the way up. Its in a bit of disarray and work needs to get done to make the trail safer to walk. If your out of shape forget it. Regardless, the finally at the end is woth the struggle to the observation post. You get to look down at Waikiki and marvel at the beautiful beaches and water. Beautiful place and a great hike!

OVER-THE-TOP FANTASTIC! The hike was not easy---the heat and the terrain made it difficult. I took breaks, stayed hydrated, and endeavored to persevere! Boy, was the view and experience worth it! You simply cannot come to Hawaii and not visit this geological, historical National Treasure!
