One of the last true arcades out there, there is something for everyone! Arcade machines, bowling alley, pool, you will not be bored!

My fiancee just saw Round 1 for the first time in the Holyoke Mall and we were just absolutely overwhelmed with all the games and everything the place had to offer. After looking around for a bit we decided to spend $40 and got quite a few credits. Yes some games are as low as 4 credits a some as much as 12 credits. But whats really awesome is that after you decide the amount of credits you want and after you put in the money you get a card and you can actually keep the card and come back and put more virtual tickets on it. Meaning you dont get actual tickets. When you see the number of tickets you get after winning some those tickets are put onto the card. No mess no worries. The shop to use the card at is fairly big but you need some serious virtual tickets to get the really nice stuff but theres plenty of low cost stuff you can get. Theres also a nice bowling alley that we plan to try soon. And theres also an area to play pool in. Anyways SUPER happy we went there and played a few games. Had a totally blast. Would absolutely recommend.

I gotta say, going to round one is the best arcade in Holyoke! Im definitely going back there for my birthday! Five star best arcade ever!

Great fun for the whole family

Just did a birthday party there and it was amazing. Well definitely be going back! The food was great (get your wings plain with sauce on the side and theyll be some on the crispiest, tastiest wings youll get from a party place). The party manager is incredibly friendly and attentive! You cant beat it for the price! The only complaint I heard was that the room was a little chilly, but it was literally 100 outside so I was happy for the cool air.

This place is huge!! And with so many activities to do.From arcade to bowling and billiard.The arcade was fairly priced, but you will burn through them quick!I spent $32 to get 150 credits and a physical card you can use to swipe at the different games.The cost of each arcade game usually range from 4 to 12.Bowling was fun too! After 4pm it was $5.50 per game/person, and $4 shoe rental.What surprise me most is they got a freaking shoes-like vending machine/dispensary!! Very cool.Over all I had a great first time experience at Round 1.I am ready for Round 2!

Not what I was expecting. The promo they have going one is not worth it they charge you $2 for the card and $10 to play 60 min and they dont explain you that the only machines you can play are the ones with the green lights and you waste more time looking for the machines with green lights, that the machines you play and the machines you can play are only cars, motorcycle, guns machines that if you buy that promo and you have little kids is not worth it.

Round 1 is a bowling, arcade, and billiard amusement center that offers a lot of fun. Round one is located on the first level of the Holyoke mall with an outdoor entrance located at the red deck parking lot, and an inside entrance located at the top of the escalators that lead up from the food court.There is nearly every type of arcade game here including basketball skill games, shooting games, racing games, fighting games, prize games, and pinball machines. There is a prize center where you can redeem credits or tickets for prizes.Round 1 also houses a large, open bowling alley. There is a shoe rental wall where you can get access to your shoes. Pricing for the bowling lanes varies depending on the time in which you play, pricing before 4pm is less expensive than it is after 4pm. The pricing also depends on if you decide to pay per game, or by the hour. The same goes for their billiard tables.There is a full bar and snack area. Seating is available as well.

It was a blast! The game selection is awesome. Shooters, racing, music instruments like drums or guitars, dancing, and games like a huge jumbo connect 4, retro games in super size versions. Pool tables, bowling and food, bar and plenty of TVs playing auto racing and other sports. My only complaint was the food. Though it tasted good, the wings where dry and gave me a stomachache that lasted about an hour. The nacho supreme was unreal, ! So was the churro. Didnt taste the pizza, but it looked good. I just hope they work on the wings. And when I say they where dry, I dont mean the meat, that was tender and juicy. I had the BBQ, and the outside was mainly dry breading and barely any BBQ sauce to see. But not sure if they use MSG, as again it gave me a stomachache for an hour.

I loved visiting Round 1! I went with one of my friends for her birthday. After picking up our shoe rentals we walked over to our lane. The areas are spacious giving each group enough room to enjoy with their family and friends, and the couches are very comfortable. The machine was easy to set up and get started, and there were many different sized bowling balls for all bowling levels. There is even a little ramp to help kids roll the ball!Afterwards we spent a little bit of time looking at the arcade games. Many looked really entertaining. We didnt play any because we didnt have a card yet, but we definitely plan on going back!

This place is awesome is every gamers dream it has about every game you can think of and it is so fun I love this place I easily recommend this to everyone the place is clean staff is great they have awesome lights effects is like entertaining a whole new world definitely recommend

Reminds me of Dave and Busters. Way better than the Dave and Busters in Times Square! I love the variety of games. Basketball connect 4 was a sick game and a dope concept! My apologies to everyone I crushed in MVC2! I loved the arcade games they had available. I didnt eat there so I cant speak on that. But they have $1.99 beer and wine specials so thats dope too!

Place is pretty cool, had fun. Really enjoy the pool tables. Would prefer to get the bottles instead of a plastic cup though for beverages. Seems like its less safe for spillage the current way....

Impressive selection of arcades games and activities! Many UFO catchers crane games with typical prizes like in Japan as well as purikura photography booth. A bit pricy to play considering US currency, but its reasonably possible to win for the crane games and other arcade games give tickets to win prizes

Games are in excellent condition. Strong selection of rhythm and fighting games and theres more to come!

I am trying to book a party here and I found the information inconsistent. The online prices are different than at the place. The ALL inclusive party has limits. Can only choose 1 activity for the entire period. The others are only 1 hour. You cant have the party room unless Karaoke is the activity you choose for the entire time of the party then bowling would be 1 hour. They couldnt help with the reservation on a weekend because they are too busy. Place was near empty. Made the reservation online. They called the phone number on my account rather than the one on the party reservation. They left a message with no name or phone number. When I try to call Round 1 I get transferred to the operator which is a busy signal. Cant find another way to reach them. I am not close enough to the place to stop in to deal with this.

Awful experience. Purchased the unlimited game card, and was told that I was only allowed to play certain games. (on top of that they charge $2 activation fee for each card you want) I had no idea that there would be so few game options included in this special. We purchased 1 hour of free play, and after 15 minutes, we had already exhausted all games worth playing. There were very few games included within this 1 hour all you can play, and on top of this, most of the games that were included were out of service or damaged. Too expensive for too few games, better off going to Dave & Busters.

$2-$3 average cost of arcade game so bring your wallet. The games are cool, staff is ok. They had to shut down temporarily for a shift change on a Saturday

So much to say about this place, its a huge arcade that also has a bowling alley and pool tables and food and you can buy alcohol here as well its a great place to chill in Hangout I highly recommend going here

I had a great time at round 1 the staff members are extra nice and out going I would recommend it to my family and friends for a kids party also just to have a social connection. Would absolutely go back to have some fun also I thought it was a good stress reliever if youre having a bad day you can take it out on the bowling ball in the pins!!!

Will never have any party here again. they put my deposit on someone else party, cancel and party after we confirmed the party the night before, told us the party was going to start Promptly at one time and it started 30-45 minutes late and didn’t extend game play or bowling time after they said they would. food was cold and never brought out more after the party was all-Inclusive.

This place use to be a great place but now the service is going down hill, I have gone there with family 2x in the past 4 months and they run out of everything, each time I have gone on a Friday or Saturday they have NO PIZZA, NO KETCHUP .I cant understand how they can not keep up with demand and this is early in the PM around 5 they have limited selection.Waited inline to order as the cashier walked away and they all started chatting even the female manager is not capable of handling this company she is lost & in with the chatting employees.I dont think it will last long with food, the bar, bowling, billiards are going to keep it going, but I wouldnt hold my breath!

We are just leaving, the power went out as I was walking out. Everyone was evacuated immediately, I wouldnt blame that on them. Power aside, we had a really good time. My husband, my mother, my kids and I had a really really good. The season potato wedges are soooooo good. They have one dollar ice cream cone or dish which is nice. The girls at the kitchen need a little more help. Everything looks clean. The vibe was really nice. I recommend it 100٪

They have issues with there ordering system and remember to bring your ticket with you. Games are well priced and there are plenty of them!

Overall, a nice addition to the mall for something to do. Lots of games, but generally overpriced for each play, with minimal return for price to ticket ratio. Prize area is to be expected with a high ticket price for low value items. Overall, better value for fun games at the Hampshire mall in Hadley, but this one does the job when at the Holyoke mall.

A arcade. I like arcades. It has a lot going on. I understand that. Got to keep up with trends. So why 1 star? Put the bleep chairs at the games in. Banged my knee badly on one. Limped rest of day. Manager just shrugged. Amazing how fast people disappear when they see something is wrong.

We absolutely love this place for the entertainment value. The three stars are that it smells like feet there & the food was all shut down.

Hands down one of the best arcades that Ive ever been to and that is saying a lot! I have been to every Dave & busters from Providence Rhode island all the way out to Detroit Michigan and this round one is hands-down better than any single one of those accept the flagstick Dave & Busters right outside of Detroit. Even if you come during the day and theres a large crowd the arcade is plenty big enough where you will not have to wait. The prices are absolutely insanely cheap as long as youre not after those prices that is. All in all its worth the experience.

It reminds me of Dave and Busters truthfully. it is lots of fun and they do have food there too which I have yet to try. they have bowling as well but I always go there for the arcade.

What an awesome looking place and well put together, completely worthy of a 5 star, 4 stars because the bar service most of your time is spent waiting to get your drink. Unfortunately doesnt seem like the staff was making an attempt to move that line although It may not necessarily be their fault. It could very well be managements way of running the place and employees have no say.The bar service for lack of a better word,garbage!

Man what a place! Huge variety of activities that this place has to offer, fighting games, family games, sport arcades, bowling, pool! Plus they have a food court and a bar. Great for a crew to chill plus they do birthdays for the kids too.

The staff was so unprofessional and unorganized! I booked a party here over the weekend at 3pm, spent almost $300. Had to check in 3 times just to get in my room to decorate. Its 3:20pm and still no host! Supervisor arrives to tell us the host is late and gives me cards for the arcade games Finally. Host arrives around 3:30pm. He brings the food and asks what time we would like to bowl. I tell him 4:15....he tells me he will go get it ready. The karaoke in the room wouldnt connect, and host was m.i.a... 4 15 comes and everyone is waiting to bowl, our host is no where to be found....I finally find him and after getting shoes its already 4:40. They give us stickers to get ice cream that have 4:45 on them, so i tell all the kids to get ice cream at that time and half my kids got refused ice cream. They say they had until that time, when no one ever explained that to us. A timed 2 hour party we spent half the time waiting on the staff to do their job. Such a fun place but not for the price! Horrible service.

Went to a birthday party only to tell the birthday family that we could not order extra food cause they ran out of food. And the bar was close cause the bartender called out. Party started at 1:30pm and they was no food really. No one got to have ice cream, which was awful for the young kids. Never again.

Some of the games werent fair, and took your credits without letting you play, other were fun. Great place for kids.

Half the games are already broken. All the coin or marble pushers are not level so they only push one side. Both fishbowl games are either broken or missing balls. The corn hole game has 3 bean bags in it should have double or Up to 8. Just expected way more from this place. I saw one employee stapling down items in the bank of crane games so the item couldn’t be picked up it was hilarious. Half the beers on tap were out and they wanted us to order a beer thru the kiosk even tho there was a bartender Idk perhaps they should have a manger to keep an eye on this place

This arcade is pretty awesome, but I LOATHE the credit system. I most likely wont be going back because of it. Why the hell is a game 7.2 credits to play?? Is there a way to get .2 quarters??! What happens is you are left with some random number of credits on your card. I believe I have 6.4 credits or something... Thats money I cant spend. Youre stealing from me. Its only like 50 cents, but they get thousands of customers a week. That money adds up for them. I can not condone those practices...

Amazing games, good atmosphere, polite workers, and me and my mother had tons of fun, especially on that Mario and Sonic Olympic game you had. Nothing like Ive seen before especially around here. 10/10, would come here again.

My kids love this place. All kinds of games and fun. My daughter didnt want to leave and when she did she wanted to go there the next day.

The place is really nice. Big and a lot of entertainment. But they need to work on the Bar and food area. They need a better way to put orders in. I waited in line about 30 mints. to order some food.Also the Bar line was long and just one person as cashier and one bartender. At least on weekends they need better organization.

If you are coming here strictly for the arcade and the other activities like bowling and pool you will not be disappointed. However the food/ drink service is abysmal, save yourself the energy and just go to the food court or the other restaurants nearby.

Customer service is slow, some staff unfriendly. If you want to just play games or play pool, its a good place to go. If you are looking for price and service, stay away.

Worst birthday party i have ever had!! I tipped Gabriella 40$ before the party started hoping she would be extra attentive and she wasn’t at all!! Food wasn’t fully cooked and everything was pretty much a shot show! Terrible terrible extra TERRIBLE worst 400 i have ever spent on a party!! Manager Haley didn’t seem to even care that i was so unhappy during the whole party !!!

They have a ton of music gaming options. Two PIU machines and the latest Dance Dance Revolution cabinet. Great prices on draft beer as well! Grab a Shock Top for $2 and have fun.

Fun but kind of pricey

It wasn’t professional and the staff was slow and it was delayed like an hour late hen when the party was suppose to start we basically did the party our self nothing was set up they ran out of stuff some of the staff had attitudes my experience was horrible I’m never going there again if I can give it 0 stars I would!!.. Awesome idea, mediocre execution. Games and claw games are repetitive, meaning there are tons of machines but only like 5 different game options. The food is okay, but the employees arent in a hurry so be ready to wait 15 min for a cheeseburger....but it will be hot and fresh when you get it. Despite my nit-picks, I would definitely return.

What a fantastic addition to the mall! There is so much to do here. A family could make an entire day here. Tons of games. The prizes are bleh, though. Bowling alley is normally full so get there early or prepare to wait.

I wanted to inform everyone that I just arrived to Round 1 in the Holyoke Mall as my daughter just graduated from school and wanted to have dinner there as well as the children wanted to play. As I approached the bar/beverage area I was asked by an attendant if I was part of the Mass Mutual group that was also here on site. I told I was not and I was informed that I could not purchase any type of drinks nor order any food as Mass Mutual employees had a private party and the rest of the patrons can’t utilize the services. I was completely taken back to say the least. I asked to speak with a manager and when I explained our concern I was told that their corporate office is located in Japan and it is their policy and there was nothing that could be done in the moment to change the policy. I continued to explain that as a human being we require food and water as they are a necessity to exist. I told them not only is it not ethical nor morally acceptable, it was completely idiotic. They’re able to take all the regular folks money when it comes to the arcades but “we” aren’t allowed to access food and drinks. I wasn’t the only patron to voice their concerns. No signs posted explaining this, only the embarrassment of being rejected when trying to buy something to eat for my family. Never coming back and I suggest you don’t either.

If you play the game pass machine, you have to check your card to make sure the points or tickets get back in your card. Some the game pass machine didnt give a point or ticket after the game ended. You have to go to the cashiers they gonna give you some the average points or tickets. But the points you got more than that. POOR!!

I find it fun going there, although im not a huge gamer but it since to walk around it, pretty high tech looking and im not going to make a bad review because im not a gamer, just the foodthe food was alright, but the pizza was kinda bad, the tomato sauce was sour, like rotten sour, my parents said it didnt taste like this the last time they got it. i asked one of the workers about it and she says that she never heard anyone saying it was sour...after a while my dad stomach started to hurt, but hes alright now, sadly we didnt get a refund and im not going to complain, because at least we got the chicken and my parents really liked it.other than that the place is fun

First time in Round 1 the place looks great every game you can think of, for both kids and parents plus beers awesome. The wait for the beers was for ever about 15 to 17 minutes waiting for two beers and only two workers and the manager is standing around not being a team player not cool for the other workers. The food area was another wait my kids was not patient as much as I am but I waiting while they play games. It was hot and slow for any customer service except the video games.i felt like I spend more time on waiting for my food and drinks then my family.

Dont come here unless you want your money to get stolen. I came here on the grand opening (3/23) and put $100 on a game card to get the most credits. I played about $30 dollars worth of games and left with about $70 and about 800 tickets on the card. I returned on (4/5) and tried to use the same game card and the swipers were giving me an invalid card error. I go up to the guest counter and explain the situation. The employee scans the card and tells me that the account is inactive and there is nothing on the card. She calls over a manager who never showed up. After about 5 minutes a lower level manager comes over and scans the card again. She explains that the card I gave her has never been activitated and they have no records of my purchase or account. This doesnt make sense since there is no way to obtain a blank card either through the express machines or through the game card desk. You have to add value to a card at the time of purchase. I show her my Apple Pay reciept to which she replied thats not good enough and said there is nothing more she could do.Round1 could have been a great place to hangout but their shady business practices make it a must avoid. Go ANYWHERE else for bowling and arcade games because Round1 will take your money and delete your account.UPDATE: I learned today from another Round 1 customer that they also lost all of their game credits/tickets due to a power outage at Round 1. If their systems can be erased by a power outage with no data backups then take this as a warning to never trust them with your money!

Fun place!!

Crane games pretty simple to win. We bought home six crane game prizes! I read the other reviews saying that the crane games are unfair and... Stapled to the machine(??) Extremely untrue. And theyre actually good plushies.There are a lot of rhythm games, bowling, karaoke, coin pushers, and many more.

I visited on a Thursday night, and there were plenty of games available to play. Line was really short for drinks, but i could see it getting crazy. I personally wouldnt come here for food, but drinks and ice cream seem to be decently priced. Staff was helpful as well. I will be stopping by more often, may or may not update review of it seems necessary.

Horrible experience. Went by around noon today (Sunday) to grab some lunch and play games with my husband and two kids. Couldn’t find anyone to physically take our order, and no menus were up on the display screens despite the fact that it was LUNCH TIME. We ordered through a kiosk and I asked how long it would be since we had the kids. I was told not too long. 20 minutes later I asked how much longer and I was told they hadn’t even started it yet. Incredibly disappointed. Do not recommend.

Everything was fantastic until i lost my wallet. But even then the staff and security were all soooo nice about helping me find it for at least 2 hours. The food was decent but nothing spectacular, especially for the prices, And having to wait 5-10 minutes every time i approached the bar was a little annoying but nothing crazy on the Sunday night i went. I could see it being a problem on another night though. And last but not least, they had a great selection of different games to play and of course there was bowling which i didn’t take part in but basically this place is fantastic if the bar and food situation doesn’t piss you off!

I love the place the staff eh. They could’ve been more attentive and nicer. I had my sons bday party and it was pretty pricey. Party started late they were unorganized the food came out while they were still playing bowling. Not giving them enough time to bowl because the food was getting cold. I just felt everything was rushed and I didnt event enjoy my son playing due to misunderstanding on food and dealing with issues that kept me from the actual party

Had a birthday party here. I wouldnt recommend it. Lack of organization. A big waste of money. I will never go back. You arrive with a time. It takes 30 mins to get up and going. Games require so many questions to get going. Add your name level, ect. Not all games included. Food comes out when you party is almost over.

Some games didnt give points/tickets, food over priced, alcoholic beverages great prices, bowling fun, games that dont give points great. Ive been a few times for bowling. Friendly atmosphere, helpful employees. Would suggest for group events/parties.

The place looks nice but definitely has some organizational problems. My family went on a calm day in the early afternoon. I don’t fully understand why the wait to pay for bowling was so long with no line. But during the actual bowling the equipment kept having problems, we had to wait for well over 20min for each problem. I learned don’t ask for credit or anything and ended up walking out just due to the stress.

Round 1 please contact Uptown Alley in Midlothian, Va. The manner you have your prices for bowling is ridiculous and makes no sense. Instead of charging 17.00 per person during peak hours why not charge an hourly rate that allow more people to afford to bowl. In addition not being able to pay with debit cards makes no sense. In addition only having one register for food was not a smart move.But the atmosphere is great for family and kids, love the games and the ability to do karaoke with pool. Hope you guys put together a price package that will allow all attractions.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!We booked this party on the 13th of October. We wanted an afternoon party, as it was for 9 year old children. Staff member E.B. helped us and told us we would need to be there for 5:15pm for a 5:30pm party and then asked at what time we wanted the food to be ready for the party. We stated we wanted it to be there when we got there so the kids could eat and then go play games.When we got there:• Our party was mysteriously no longer on the books ... after being confirmed the evening before because I called them ... I received no call from them as was stated.• Our deposit was applied to someone else’s party• We had NO host for the room• Our whole party was there for 5:15pm and when we were finally escorted to the room we were then asked when we wanted the food and we said now.• We did not get the food until well after 6:15• The bowling lanes that were supposed to be booked for our son’s party were given to a corporate office party.• Our kids were supposed to be able to play games from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, the kids weren’t able to start playing until 6:10ish when we finally got bowling lanes.• We asked for an extension of at least 30 minutes on the cards which they said could be done but wasn’t done.• At 7:27 my son came to tell me his card didn’t work anymore.• As parents we were not able to enjoy watching our son play with his friends AT ALL for his birthday as we were trying to get staff to understand all the issues and get us what we needed (food, drinks, plates)• The drink order we put in with the party was not right when it got to us. We had to tell 3 different people to get the right drinks (sprite and lemonade)• The food, by the time it got to us, was cold.• We were not given napkins so we had to go to the bar and grab one of the napkin holders that they use to get napkins for the room.As a parent I was embarrassed at how poorly this was put together and it made me look like I didn’t take all the right steps with the planning of this party.The errors for this party were 100% ON ROUND1.I’m embarrassed for them as a company that it was acceptable for them to run something the way this “party” was run. That being their business, I would have expected their best foot forward and instead got nothing but mistake after mistake.They say that a person will tell at least one person about a great experience they have, a person who has a bad one will tell ten. And all those 10+parents who were at the party to witness the disaster you put on will also be telling people about how horrible it was!!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK ANOTHER PARTY WITH ROUND1 .. I would honestly drive the half hour and give my business to Nomad’s in Connecticut!!!!! Round 1 does not even deserve one star!!!

I love this place and make the trip out here multiple times a week. DDR is kept in top shape, prices are pretty average for a barcade.Marble carnival is a ton of fun and is addicting as hell!

I was embarrassed for the employees that were getting yelled at by the manager over at the bar. He had handed us our drinks and didn’t ID us. When he noticed he didn’t ID us he blamed one of his employees and harassed him to ID us and put a wristband on us. I felt so bad for the young gentleman. He was very nice to us. A manager shouldn’t be treating his employees the way he was. This place needs better management

During My visit on 6/29/19 the 2 girls working the food section had attitude. No customer service at all, no passion to what they are doing. Other than that I enjoyed the place with my kids.

Me, my mom, and my brother went there to play the games. When we got there, we saw that the games cost 4-10 credits. The monster drop(regular) cost 8 CREDITS, when it usually cost 1 at other arcades. The good amount of credits to get is $40. The prizes are nice, but should be a bit cheaper(The plushies next to the shirts should be like 100-500 credits.) this was only for the arcade. I don’t know the bowling or food experience. We only had the ice cream, where the worker spent 10 minutes just getting the ice cream out due to the hardness. The credits for the games should be a bit cheaper, so kids can play more games.

Fun place. Plenty of arcade games, bowling, and pool tables. Plus booze if thats your thing.
