The absolute best movie theater and game room in West Hollywood. They are wonderful. The old school vibe. Still use tickets for games. Great prizes. Best popcorn. Best staff.

Nice play for a date. Drinks, movie and live music. Saw not one child tonight so its ideal for couples without kids. Bar tender upstairs was nice to us, but saw him get sassy with other people. friendly is a plus.

Weird all the people having nothing but positivity in their reviews but not leaving 5 stars. I love this theater, not the cleanest but priced right. Went here almost every Friday as a kid and played in the Xbox 360 room, great times. Took my girl friend here on our first date and we saw a massive cockroach, definitely disgusting but made for a good memory and a funny story. Still 5 stars even with the roaches, hate having to reserve seats online like at other theaters.

I love that the Flippers Cinema is my neighborhood theatre. They always have an interesting line up of movies and do fun themes (Hitchcock month) as well as sing-a-alongs. All major movie festivals in the city also screen movies here (without the proximity to my apt I probably couldnt be bothered). So thank you Flippers Cinema for making me a more cultured person!

Great movie theatre. Staff are super nice even though they seem short staffed. Very clean and great arcade to play games. They also serve alcohol and have 3 pool tables. Decent menu for food. Definitely coming back again! P.S They also follow safety covid protocols

They have chosen to upgrade random amounts of seats in each room so thats nice. However its a nice family spot for quick eats, games & prizes, and movie. Its historic but the low key fair priced theater. I enjoy making memories here.

Old cinema, audio is bad, could hardly hear movie, 3 people in the whole theater and they come around checking is people wearing masks, we were sitting so far apart from each other there is no reason to bother us.

Located within a shopping plaza on Taft Street, Flippers Cinema is a large movie theatre where you can go with friends, family, or that special someone. Obtaining movie tickets here is a bit cheaper than the theatre I usually go to, which makes me like this place for starters. Upon entering the theatre, youre in a large game room with pool tables and various games where you have to purchase tokens to play them. The concession stand is to the far left of the game room. You can choose from a variety of foods such as popcorn, nachos, hotdogs/corndogs, pizza (16 or by the slice), concession combos, boxed candy, beverages, and many more at a reasonable price. I had a late lunch before arriving at Flippers so there was no need for me to purchase anything. There is a total of nine large, air-conditioned theatres and it was cold in the theatre I was in, so for anyone coming to Flippers...dont forget to bring a jacket.

Its a great place for kids to enjoy playing arcade type games. And you get rewards for playing the games and you can cash them in for toys after your done. Plus it has food and a good movie theater.

Smells like pee on opening week and weed afterwards. However if you want to see a movie and you dont have much money its where you go. The staff are pretty friendly and the arcade games are fun when they work. I hear theyre putting new chairs in the theaters that might make the place a little nicer. Lets hope.

The theater and lobby are well-maintained. The womens restroom was clean and well-stocked. The staff were friendly and greeted each patron with a welcome and a smile. I like that you can get your ticket for the movie and purchase snacks at the same time.The sound in the theater was not too loud but just right. The temperature was comfortable. The screen was without blemish.The lobby is child and teen friendly. My husband loves to shoot pool sometimes when we visit. I love that this is a safe place for youth to come to and have clean age appropriate fun.

Great place to bring the kids! Movie ticket prices are low, and games are fun! Only issue is the chairs are high and may be difficult for little ones to see sitting by themselves. All of the staff are very helpful and courteous!

I went with my grandkids to see jumangi. But the best part was the arcade games after the movie, they loved collecting tickets to get prizes. We went early so it wasnt crowded and it was clean

Rating this based only on the cinema part. There is also an arcade and a gaming area that host video game tournaments, which I didnt experience yet.Pricing is decent, and for matinee prices are cheaper than Cinemark and Regal Cinemas. Tickets are available for purchase on Fandango, but the convenience fee doesnt make it worth it to book tickets online.There is no pre-assigned seating, and looks like they are transitioning to a split theater between premium and standard seats. Currently theyre at the same price, so if you show up early, youll get a nicer seat.Premium seats have a fake leather cover with thick armrests with cup holders.Popcorn and drink combos are usual movie theater expensive, but seems slightly cheaper than the major movie theaters.Overall, impressed with this place and hopefully it will still be nice when I come to a theater on a fuller showing.

Very disappointed right off the bat. The theatre itself was fine, the food not the worst, but had to deal with such rude customer service I won’t even consider coming back. Everyone was kind except an older lady named Cathe who was receiving our tickets. Upon entering the theatre the movie already started so it was obviously very dark. We had trouble walking to find my seat. Not to mention there was no lights on the floor to guide me like other theaters have.However, when I was approaching Cathe to ask if we could have an employee bring a flashlight to help us enter, we were met with sarcasm, her saying “Obviously, it’s supposed to be dark” and an arrogant attitude before I finished my question and explained my situation. Disgusting attitude and she wouldn’t even look at us when we first approached her. She was very disrespectful, and I’m overall disappointed with my experience, as I have been coming here for years.

Dont loose ur movie tickets cause u wont get a refund or see the movie. Other than that, fun place tbh.

The seats were too small, they have larger comfortable seats in the lobby but not in theater. My friend & I asked for our money back the person gave my money back & told her he would have to put her children out of the movie if he gave her money back. Who does that? We were still sitting in the lobby. This was my first time here & it will be my last. By the way her children are late teens not unsupervised kids.

Flippers has been around for a while. The food is good and it is a fun place for kids and families. The prices are good and it is nice since it is so close to home. It would be good if they invested some money to upgrade chairs in the theater.

I have coming to this theater since 1993, remember when used to be a dollar, and still going taking my 3 children and my nephews over there not everybody can pay $18 dollars and more for a ticket we are not all rich so i do believe this theater server his purpose i have never got a problem and i used take now my wife over there specially when we were very young and pennilessi do love this placed i hope stay there for a long time i do have plenty of good memories over there, enjoy it and be mindful of what you are paying for admission.

Fun and affordable. The interior looks dated, but I like that atmosphere. Movie seating is plentiful, but lacking the upscale feel many theaters now provide. Hands down, a great value if you do not need the pretty and plush looks and seating theaters like Regal Cinemas have. Games are limited, but the classics are there with some variety. Food is okay.

I love Flippers. Its a diamond in the rough, and every time I walk in there, Im so happy we have something like this in the Driftwood/Boulevard Heights area. The neighborhood kids employed there are all polite and hard-working, and the atmosphere always feels pleasant, safe and family friendly. And then there are the excellent prices...

Its clean its certainly family oriented. The seats are very uncomfortable for sitting more than an hour. It starts to feel like your sitting on a floor. Thats how lack of cushion there is. Other than that the game room is definitely fun. Will not go back for a movie but the pvt video game room is a must go. I will be doing that...my nephews all go there and never been dissatisfied and they still do.

Very affordable, great pizza, very awesome theater. Their game center is like a five dollar buffet for console based video-games. There token-operated arcade has quite the selection.Very great place to come after school/work to hang-out or to bring the kids over to watch a movie or play games at the game center.You can find movies and tons more stuff to do, for a fraction of a price. They even have some great deals on curtain days.Only thing though, expect dollar refills, and the selection of movies being very small.Overall, great theater.

Matinee prices were very reasonable. Place doesnt stand out in the mall so you got to keep your eyes alert or youll pass it.

Good theater to watch a movie if you are on a budget matinee price are $6.50 per adult and $6. Per kids and after 4 PM regular is $1. extra. Its a regular place, no recliner seats or plush chairs. Normally have 4 or more showing time on movies depending of demand.

Do you love slapping your hands together like flippers? Then youll love this place! Not only do they have comfy seats to watch your favorite movie but they have a huge arcade to hang out in while you wait or afterwards. They also just started serving beer which is a major plus.

Ok went to see glass with my mom brother and Jarvis. I have been dying to see this. Flippers is still the family friendly place that is cheap. We got chicken wings fries and drinks mozzarella sticks and it was about $30 the movie was $16 but overall a great place for video games good fun for everyone.
