This park was okay. Not a fan of the black stuff on the ground and all the homeless people near by the playground on the grass area. One of the slides has graffiti on it. But other than that it would be a nice playground.

Great neighborhood park. Lots of grass, tennis courts with a handball wall, playground, rose garden and water conservation garden are all here. There is a building that is available to rent for functions. In the summer there are often movies in the park. There is a baseball field for little league across the street. The park is one large city block surrounded by houses. It is a nice quiet park usually, however, at times the homeless population congregates there. Though they dont seem to bother anyone it feels like I am intruding when I walk my dogs because they have a lot of their stuff there and seem territorial. It is clean and well kept except where the homeless hang out. There the ground is littered.I would never let children go there alone but its a nice playground for supervised play. There are public restrooms but I would never let a child or teen enter alone. There is no parking except on the street. The park closes at dusk except for movie nights. Best time to visit is late morning or early afternoon.Dogs are allowed on a leash and there is a poop bag dispenser but it is sometimes empty so best to bring your own. Please clean up carefully after your pet because many children play here.If this review was helpful please click LIKE. Thank you!

I love this park, but the city allows a group of people to live out on the grass. Unfortunately, those people litter everywhere, everyday, and I have found needles in the grass. The rose garden is poorly maintained, and often I pull the weeds myself. Whoever trims the roses doesnt know how, but at least they are trying. Minus these issues, the park would be awesome.

A nice park just off the middle of down town. The garden is beautiful, the tennis courts are a nice touch. A kid friendly playground is cool. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are often left unmaintained and get dirty quickly. Overall good place to unwind or play a small game.

Place is a good place to visit. Nice playground for the kids. Nice new benches and new BBQ areas with benches and tables. Has tennis courts. Has security cameras. It was built right on the California Calaveras Fault. Many college students and geologist come to see the crooked street on Hollister Californias 6th St. Fault movement separates the street alittle bit every year.

Well yes my review is because of the homeless that live there. We need a better solution so that this may be a better park to go to. The homeless are forced out of cities all the time, left no choice but to find another. This is one place they seem to be able to take root and relax, which Im okay with. Its just since its supposed to be a park it doesnt feel like a park anymore.I feel like Im trespassing when Im there because they live there and I dont. Theyve never caused me trouble but as a park in its current state its 1/5 stars. Its like a Pizza restaurant that only serves burgers. Id probably not give it 5 stars because its serving a different purpose than advertised.

Ive had to go to this park for a job I had, and only went because it was within walking distance. Ive also walked past this park many times during the day. There always seems to be sketchy people at this park. Roughty, drunk, high, and who knows what else. Ive never felt safe at this park. Now that Im a mom I try to stay away as best I can. Its a shame that this is the case because its a nice park with good amenities. Ill stick with parks that make me feel safe though.

I came to the park to see evidence of the Calaveras Fault creep. There are few places in the USA where you can see such an amazing example of earthquake fault creep and scarp. But, youll be competing for space with some drunk vagrants. The park should be a great place for families to visit, but Id be afraid of having my kids running free.
