An hour stop of the interesting facts regarding the Holland area. A nice way to see some of the Dutch influences on this area. Farming tools, ships and local sailing items, some very nice paintings and furniture items of the local and European artists and Dutch galleries dating back to the 1600s. Very friendly staff to answer questions. 2 floors without too much walking.Covid precautions in place as well.
Very nice place. Very clean. Very interesting displays of history in Holland.
Cool little place in our town. I say every local should give it a gander.
It is an interesting museum. The building is small enough to enjoy all the exhibits in a couple of hours. Of course the focus of the museum is Dutch. There is also an area for smaller kids to color and do other kid things. There I a beautiful park across the street from the museum. As you can expect from the city, the flower displays in this park are awesome.
Clean and nice ambiance.
The kids had a fantastic time in the new STEM room ... my son didnt want to leave
I love this Museum. And they have done a great job of updating the exhibits and keeping them updated with plenty of hands on science exhibits for the future scientists in your family.
Great little museum. Collection includes original Dutch masters. How cool is that!
Great space and love the new Spark lab. The staff are also amazing and grear partners
Really nice museum, I stopped in to get a lighthouse stamp, and stayed for a while to learn about the Holland area.
Small but we enjoyed learning the history of Holland. Lots of great pieces to look at. Brought back old memories!
I always enjoy a visit. Loved the barn picture display. The atmosphere is inviting and its a diverse display.
Saw the barns of Michigan...very nicely done and they have an awesome Gift Shop!!!
The SparkLab is amazing! My kids love it. They keep asking to go back. Fun science projects to create.
Was there for a video shoot, so I didnt have the benefit of a full tour, but I was really impressed by some of the artifacts they had, especially the upstairs gallery which has some really well preserved oil paintings and antique furniture. Would like to go back sometime now that theyre opening a Spark Lab there for kids.
Really nice museum, I enjoyed the exhibits very much.
We visited during their Halloween event with our kids and it was a lot of fun. The staff was all friendly and the exhibits were well-lit with so much interesting information about the area! I wish the event details had been more clearly communicated- the games were fun for young kids, and so were the crafts, but there wasnt anything else interesting for kids so young.
Nice little, well appointed, hometown museum. We learned so much about Hollands history.
I volunteer here. Its a wonderful staff and time whether we get a handful of people or were busy beyond belief.
Very nice volunteers that are open for a conversation. As a Dutch person it was nice to see and hear about the history of Holland, Mi.
Wonderful examples of Dutch art in the gallery upstairs. Excellent history of the city and its diversity on the main level.
We went to check out the Spark Lab. It was pretty cool, and the kids had fun with it, but as hyped as it was, I had expected there to be more to it.
Loved it. Helpful informative docent.
Great Dutch artifacts and paintings. Must see.
There were very old paintings upstairs. They tell me they rotate the exhibit quite often and without regularity.
Wonderful collection of old Dutch Master artwork upstairs. Even a small Rembrandt.
Staff is very friendly and willing to educate visitors.
Fine collection for a small museum; worth a visit.
Nice museum, very informative about Holland -> American culture, nice staff too
Cute museum with nice staff. Learned about Dutch immigration to the US and the history of Holland.
This museum has cultural attractions from the old country, including Dutch paintings and decorative arts and exhibits from the Netherlands Pavilion of the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. The museum also has local history, including Lake Michigan maritime and agricultural history. Artifacts in the collections include local history from the start of Holland Kolonies to locally produced furniture and automotive and boat building components. My daughter and I had a great afternoon here.
Has some intersting exhibits. It was 7 dollars per adult to get in. The AC was broken the day we went and it was quite hot, so we did not go see the exhibits upstairs. It is handicap accessible.
UnbelievableWell worth more than one visit.
Very nice museum... Love the paintings
The best
The staff really knows their history!
I woud have had a review, but when I got there on Memorial day it was closed, even though I double checked to see if they were open that day. Their website clearly says it is open Memorial day. We were not the only ones disappointed, There was an Asia family who came to see the special display, as well as another family from out of town. I guess if I were youId call first and make sure you talk to someone to make sure they are really open.
Beautiful building. Great site.
