The bathing beach is nice beach. It has a boat ramp, a bath house coming soon, and life guards. There is a grassy area with talk of a playground going in. The slope of the beach is pretty gradual, so it is great for families with younger kids. The only reason I don’t give it 5/5 is because the bottom of the water area is rocky at parts and very muddy at parts.
This is a beautiful, quiet, and quaint spot to sit by the water and enjoy a picnic lunch or a sunset snack, or even a picnic dinner. There are many couples and families enjoying the views of this well maintained community beach. The beach also seems to be popular with people on paddle boards and in kayaks off in the distance. A highly recommended spot to enjoy the scenery without big crowds. There is parking for guests. A separate parking area is for residents. The entrance to the resident lot is marked. So, simply go to the appropriate parking lot.
Its a beach. The people who recommended that you go during high tide have a point. I went there on low tide.
Warmer calm waters. Small size beach. Food and drinkvclise by.
Its. Grate place; very relaxing; there are no bathroom. There is a restaurant
Great place to take little ones so they can run around. We hit the Hingham Lobster Pound before we go here and have a little picnic under the trees. Great spot for a little day trip.
Quiet, small beach to watch the boats and relax. Great little coffee house right there as well.
Great local beach. But not a low tide type of beach though. When the tide plus out its very muddy. Parking is good,. Clean
Calm, family, but lot of ppl need to wear mask..is always someone who brake rules
Very nice place. Although you cant swim at low tide as the area becomes a mud flat.
The Hingham bathing Beach is a quiet, not overcrowded area long 3A with a small Park, where a person can relax.
Super clean pretty warm beach today swim and hangout at.
Quiet beach, nice tree area for shade and you have space to kayak.
Great place to take the kids on summer calm waters, nice people or overcrowded but neither empty, I just wonder if some public restrooms will be built soon
Nice neighborhood watering hole.
Love the water and parking but the sand sucks
Beautiful place to just chill.
Water was really shallow and muddy but not bad
Relaxing. Quiet. Clean.
Wonderful town asset.
Great beach but rocky.
Its in Hingham and filled with the special people. Wealthy aristocratic democratic,
Very nice peaceful place to do theraputic exercises!!!
Was so nice and peaceful will be back tomorrow
Very nice place! Not too crowded, plenty of parking, the water here is warmer than the rest of the beaches around, and I saw live horseshoe crabs in the water! So peaceful, definitely will go back.
Great harbor to kayak in!
Great place to take the family. We take our granddaughter. She loves it. The kids playground, the old carousel, the little arcade. The best thing is the beach is clean. Spend all day with the kids.
Really nice beach.
No bathrooms so it only gets a 3.
Small beach with free parking. Shoreline is rocky and sand is muddy, soft sand to sit on.
Nice little park with the beach. Water is warm here because its not the open ocean, and also parking is free. There are some benches and shadow available during hot summer days.
Nice and cozy view.
Very good lots of fun
Always clean️
Nice beach, has a roomy changing and bath house, green space with picnic tables, swim out deck kids love and plenty of free parking. Water doesnt get too choppy.
Nice beach to chill out with your family and friends.
Beautiful little gem
One of the best places for quiet contemplation or good old fashioned family fun.
Nice place and good convenience, but sometimes the sand is a little muddy and not very pleasant to walk on.
More secluded than Nantusket.
Nice & Quiet, Easy Parking, New Facilities
Its nice there
Why do they call it a beach?
Nice open beach. Decent waves
Need to watch the tides. For about 4 hours each day [2 hours either side of high tide] the tide is high enough for good swimming. Swimmers quickly learn to watch and calculate the tides of Boston Harbor. Life Guards are there to open the bathhouse and watch the marked swimming area. In the deep water is a wooden float. This pretty, small beach within easy walking distance of town. Parking is still free. A good bicycle rack is available. Dogs are not allowed on the beach in the summer, and trash is “please carry out what you carry in”
Quiet and clean, no dogs allowed, neat spot! I would love it were dogs allowed, but still neat!
Best bathing beach around
Beautiful day!
Very relaxing place but some area were full of trash scattered everywhere.
Nice & quiet, clean but kind of icky during low tide. Shore is really muddy and sucks you in if you try to walk out. Perfect to lounge, not ideal if you actually want to swim
Nice clean beach plenty of parking
Upgrades are really nice! Family friendly and clean
This little gem of a beach is great. Being there at high tide is optimal for paddle boarding or kayaks because its a little muddy otherwise. View is a great, crowd is small and easy in and out.
Relaxing, clean
Good beach poor access to the beach from parking lot
It was a special day
Not like it used to be when I was a kid. So sad to see these places in such decline. Todays generations social gathering is online and not physically going to a place to socialize. Not to mention it is simply so expensive compared to, the good ol days.We had a great time as we were there for a car show and well be coming back again next year as well.
Nice place to visit on the 4th clean restroom
I love that theres a short distance from the car to the water and great visibility. For a mom with two kids running around and a baby to take care of it really helps. I find this beach a lot more manageable for us than others. The water is a little muddy, but the kids dont seem to mind and we just make sure that they get baths as soon as we get home. Its just an easier beach for moms, especially if your there without another adult to help!
I love it there. I go in the summer for swimming and having picnics on the green grass with picnic tables over looking the water and I went today to enjoy looking at the water while having my coffee in my car....Always free parking....very pretty.....
Nowhere more picturesque than Hingham Harbor
An unplanned brief stop on a warm summer morning. Small beach for walking with nearby benches to relax and picnic tables for a quick bite, free parking. A quiet peaceful spot.
Great place, good view to relax to on a rainy day.
Awesome
Great spot to have lunch...
Has sand high or low tide. Theres an area roped off just for swimming. You can swim anywhere though. Lots of kayaking and boating going on. The parking is FREE, which is a huge plus. Theres not big waves here, or waves really at all.
Beaitifil clean and quaint
Beautiful @ Sunset
Nice beach to spend time with family and relax.Nantasket is 15 minutes away if you want to go there as well.restroom could be better.
This is for the Farmers Market at the beach. Always a lot to chose from local farmers. Quality is always good. It is a little pricey but worth it.
Easy parking, clean
Low tide when we got there. Cute beach, clean
What a great park!
Its a nice little beach one of the few beaches spots in Hingham to sit and hang out, watch the boats, enjoy the sun. Its also a nice fairly calm spot for paddle boarders and kayakers to lunch from. Plus there are two grassy areas you can sit under the trees in the shade and relax. It is a harbor so the water can get oily from the boats at times but overall its pretty nice.
We loved it. Thanks for the memories
Quiet
Better beach since the town made improvements. The ocean floor in the harbor is mushy underfoot which I find intolerable without water shoes. Great place to relax and read a book though. Also, they are lacking in the bathroom facilities. Last couple times I went the bathroom building was locked
Used the public boat launch to put in my kayak.
Good place to come after grabbing some food for a picnic. There are a few tables and lots of lawn.
It is a great place for a picnic and has plenty of parking spots.
Muddy Bottom lousy Beach
Quiet and pretty
It might be an overall beach around my house, if you have kids and want to enjoy some time watching them playing this might be the best place to come.
Its a harbor, with a beach attached. The water is murky with boat oil. Would not recommend if youre looking to swim.
Good place to park and relax.
Here in a Friday August afternoon. Easy too get to and from parking. Soft sand a plus... Large bouy lined swimig area near Hingham ports. Clean and fairly quiet. A few families here enjoying the summer day. No nightlife and restaurant about, so if you like that go to nantasket beach in Hull.
Quiet, and beautiful. No charge to park.... a plus!
Its a small beach but nice.
