Fair prices and AWESOME Staff that went out of their way to help us have a great experience!Zip line tour is Awesome!Cant wait to come back to do the Ariel Adventure Park next!Oh yeah, NEW TRAILS to Ski and Ride! Woot! Coming back again in the fall, and again in the winter, and again...........
Great place to zip line. Followed Covid protocols, not very busy. The countrys longest zipline got up to 60 mph,. Good way to spend an afternoon out of doors.
We had a really amazing experience here doing both the zip line tour and the aerial adventure park for my son’s 10th birthday. In addition to great facilities and a fun experience, the staff was super friendly, warm, patient and personable. For me, who was just there with my kids, that was the take-away. The customer service was excellent and my kids had a fun, active and exciting day.
The areal park experience was amazing! Im not athletic at all and was pretty anxious at first but once I got the hang of it I was in love. Will definitely go back.
Love catamount it is a very nice place in between New York and Massachusetts only problem is there is way to much ice instead of snow ! I sprained my wrist while going down the slopes because I slipped on ice, the thing I would like is more snowmaking so its not pure ice !
Had an amazing time here. Staff was so friendly and patient. Will definitely be coming back
Kids had a blast here ziplining, climbing, and traversing, all while wearing harnesses.
Had a good experience doing the dual zipline.
Old and new, amazingly beautiful landscape and nice people
Buttery trails, zero wait, friendly service. Wasnt sure what to expect considering the size of this place but its one of the better resorts Ive snowboarded at this season. Highly recommend if youre looking to hit your first slopes in MA/NY (right on the border!) or if your deciding between here and another nearby mountain.
Great course. Great staff.
Awesome place for something different to do. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and professionals.
This is a great place for families: big enough but also not too big. You can let kids roam a little and not worry. They have a fun trial with big turns and optional jumps. They also invested a lot in snow making and the lodge.
They have the longest zipline in the us u can try to break the speed limit someone has a record of 75 miles per hour
Great, small mountain. You can be done with all greens and blues in about 3 hours straight. Offers dbl blacks, many lifts and great runs.
A great place on a nice sized mountain with friendly instructors from teenagers to 90 year olds! The food options are not the healthiest but are yummy and even include the impossible burger. I learned to ski there in December and my lessons included three sessions the first day, with a free return entry with rentals and the option to attend three more lessons that second visit, which I took two months later! Reasonable prices and well maintained trails make this a great place to learn. Over the summer there are canopy adventures and nearby river rafting options.
It was easy to get to and the staff were great.
Catamount skis much bigger than suggested by the trail map. I used an Indy Pass day on 2/8/2020 and Catamount quickly became my favorite of the smaller mountains in the Northeast. The new lodge is terrific and the people there were very helpful. Apparently they put in some new trails but since I had never been there before, I couldnt tell where they were. There was one trail (Christophers Leap) that looked like it would be amazing, steep pitch and wide. Unfortunately there wasnt enough snow coverage. The gladed areas should be great too with some snow. Definitely coming back again.
We had a blast doing the adventure trail courses.
Im loving the changes that were made in the off season. Even with only 7 trails open, there was great skiing. Looking forward to another great season here.
My sisters, mother and I would ski here back in the early 1970s. The all-day lift ticket for a child was $12.00!
There was many unsupervised children on a Saturday night after 3pm skiing dangerously fast and around or through people. Ski patrols should actually police the mountain better, conditions werent bad after they groomed after 4pm.
Love the trails. Great mountain for all skills levels! Just be careful on the drive up the Taconic! Yall know what Im talking about!
Awesome conditions during midweek. Limited trails opened but all nicely groomed. Bought tickets in advance and paid only $24
I love this resort year round. Whether skiing or hiking, the view is always see inspiring. Although, I must admit, it feels like more of an achievement when you get to the summit under your own power. They offer a variety of recreational offerings for all seasons, from skiing, to hiking, the adventure park, and soon to be zip lines. I usually plan a visit to include a meal or a drink at Swiss Hurts, which is conveniently located just across the parking lot.
Take grand kids here and they love terrain. Especially lady at midstation on triple chair. Always high 5 with kids.
This resort is a great family friendly place weve been going to ski while still being near the city. The trails have a good range of levels to suit any family. The new owners had been adding many good features to the resort including being one of the first resort to add RFID tech. In summer the adventure park had lots of options but the ZipTour was a bit disappointing with only two zips for its price. But the year-round experience is still better than before.
MLK weekend 20, unfortunately not enough snow yet, conditions difficult in the afternoon. And when they going to look at the quality (low) and price (high) of the food? But, I do like coming back again and again.
Great place for kids to learn to ski. Staff is super friendly. Very busy on weekends and holidays.
We love this mountain! Great families, staff, coaches and programming in the winter for ski & board. Always has snow (despite mother nature) to cover most if not all the diverse terrain and terrain park; theres something here for everybody at every skill level. There are no high speed lifts, but somehow theres never a line. Night skiing available on Wednesdays and Fridays.During the summer months they have an amazing aerial adventure park; I think its the biggest in the Northeast!
Fun place for the whole family. Easy to advanced trails available for skiing.
For the winter that was not. This place has done a great job keeping trails open. The lodges are great looking.
Great moutain. Many improvements. The best and most challenging by far in Mass.
Great service all around! new ski lodge in progress, some construction
Small mountain but friendly and helpful staff. They are improving the lodge and other amenities as well.
Our adult kids loved it here at their Arial Adventure Park climbing in the trees and zip lining from tree to tree. They both said it was the coolest thing theyve ever together. They took videos of themselves zipping across the forest and took pictures of each other. Make sure you have closed toe shoes, hair pulled up, and cargo pockets for your phone Its inexpensive and fun
This is a cozy place to go skin at the by your in Massachusetts and when your skiing youre in New York just a very simple mountain
Poor attitudes, rude ski instructors, crowded ticket window area... overall not a positive experience. We arrived a little bit after opening, having bought our tickets online expecting to be able to go to a will call window... Unfortunately we were forced to wait in a long line for almost 30 minutes along with everyone else to pick up the RFID card. On a holiday weekend only 3 windows (including two for equipment rental were open.) Due to construction the ticket window area was crowded poorly organized and it was a pain for people to walk by without bumping into people waiting in line. The ski instructors entitlement attitude was simply rude - instead of allowing zipper style merging when they went to the ski school line they would barge through with the entire class, often multiple classes at a time. The way the RFID readers are set up for the Meadows Triple and Promenade Triple was simply stupid. A single set of readers with the ski school entrance to the left and a divider forcing everyone to go right and then cut across the ski school groups to get to the Promenade Triple. The whole thing was simply not thought through. For the chair lift RFID gates they did not have any form of line management, which resulted in people just hanging out in front of the readers, making it awkward and difficult at times to get to the lifts.Granted it was a Saturday on a holiday weekend, but good luck finding a place to sit in the lodge which is ridiculously undersized for the size of the resort. On a positive note, the staff on the chairlift was positive, helpful and cheerful.
Loved my first trip to Catamount! It’s a beautiful mountain, nicely varied terrain, good views, you can really tell how much effort they put into everything. The rental process was very smooth and super friendly, I went from my car to the slopes in no time. I skied every run except the bunny hill and never got bored. They’ve changed ownership and it’s readily apparent the new owners are injecting huge amounts of cash to modernize and upgrade. Can’t wait to go back!
Nice Berkshire ski area with a decent variety of trails. Great deals on Monday - Thursday lift tickets for $20 if you buy on line in advance. Normally there are no lift lines during the week, so you can ski a lot for your $20.
Good trails and lifts. Better food options than just the low end fast food thats usually avaliable at a skii place or amusement park. Less lines than what you would experience closer to nyc. 15 min away from great barrington, a town with a hip main street and lots of food options
Didnt have the fast lift open. Given the warm winter, mountain struggling to keep trails open. Nice beginner mountain.
In spite of the weather, it was raining, had a fun morning. New facilities are, coming along well! Delicious chilibfor, lunch.
Catamount is equiped with a great staff, priced well, and has a nice variety of trails.
Full disclosure that this is the first ski resort I have ever been to. After some initial confusion with getting me an offer that was advertised on the website, they took very good care of me. The rental desk was super friendly and my ski instructor Grace was kind and patient. I feel like they do a very good job of wanting you to feel supported until you are comfortable skiing. They also have great deals during the week. Ill be going back for sure.
Good family mountain friendly staff see Eddy in the tavern head chef
Adventure park was great
Nice traills for all levels nd not far.
I first learned how to ski on this mountain last year. We all love it there! Cant wait to see the new changes Catamount will bring.
Great place to learn how to ski. Great instructors for kids.
Good for nice long learner slopes and fun switch back blues. Buildings In progress of refurbishment so hard to judge what it will be like but it’s clean and the food is ok and totally edible so better than most ski places. There is a bar. Nice old lifts and some newer and magic carpets. Sunny terrace to enjoy a final pint before heading home.
Comfortable small mountain skiing At reasonable prices.
Nice terrain fun trials quick turn arounds.
Nice runs, but def can get busy so plan accordingly. Nice little bar/restaurant inside. Always nice to be able to take a break in the sun on the deck. Not too bad of a drive from CT.
Ive been skiing at Catamount for years, and couldnt be happier with the mountain. Its a small place with friendly staff and well-groomed terrain. After visiting this season I was very impressed by the new Lodge and look forward to returning.
Great local mountain, terrain for all levels of skier!
Good place to learn and challenge yourself with all the improvements.
Im very happy that they are renovating. Its beautiful.
This is a great ski mountain and they have a great ski team
While this mountain is smaller than other mountains, it is a great place to ski. There are trails available to all ages and abilities. Also, who wouldnt want to ski in 2 states at once. Catamount is in NY and NH. Its an amazing ski resort!
So much fun at the aerial adventure Park. Its always great to find something I can do with my teenage son that we both enjoy and this certainly fit the bill.
I came down the diamond
I ski area is great. As summer activities are lots of fun.
Great runs. Fair prices.
I went there for the high cope course. It was definitely o e of the hardest ones Ive ever done. Plenty of ziplines. Most of the interesting stuff doesnt happen until the harder courses though.
Breath taking views from the top,Im not an avid skier, but kept going to the top for the views even though it meant I had to struggle to get down.foods way over priced, pack a lunch n bring drinks
Clean, decent for day skiing. Snowfall can be hit and miss, so often icy. Nothing unusual for the Northeast.
The tracks are mixed, even the greens have parts that are steep. The area is small, and does not have many tracks. The rentals are in pretty good shape. The cafeteria has very limited menu, and the options are not exciting (pizza, hamburger, soup, nachos and borritos). The dining are has free WiFi. A decent one.My daughters took beginners ski lessons, they enjoyed it. It seems like they have a good ratio of instructors-students. Most instructors are teenagers, and some of them are clueless, but everyone were nice. The day I went, it snowed a bit the night before, but did not snow the days before that. The tracks were very icy, and it was hard to ski.
Explored the adventure park and want to come back and do some of it.
Great staff, excellent lessons, and fantastic trails!
Great mountian amazing conditions
Great small mountain but our poor condition of ice did the mountain in. Not there fault but will visit in near future
Great place to ski.
Fun.
The condition were perfect.
Had a great experience at this mountain! It was my first time skiing in years my instructor Heidi was extremely knowledgeable and funny made learning to ski again simple and fun! By the end of the day I was even able to ride some trails at the top of the mountain which I never expected going into the day. Overall I would highly recommend checking catamount out for all level skiers/snowboarders and for sure ask for Heidi if you are going to get a lesson!
Great place to ski late! Great variety of slopes, awesome ex pass system to get on the lifts! Well worth your time and money to come ski or board.
Major improvements going in. A new lift should be operating before the 2018-19 season ends that will relieve the lines at the triple chair. A new lodge is under construction, and lots of new snowmaking machines added. This old lady is getting a makeover.
Renovations look awesome.
Convenient and hassle-free place to ski, with trails appealing to a range of skill levels. Rental equipment was in good condition. Staff was super-friendly and always helpful. I opted for a private lesson and it was worth every penny. All in all, great experience.
Love this little mountain. And instructors are great. Plenty of variety for different skill levels.
Mid week skiing is great. I love all the trails and their renovations look amazing!
Great place, particularly midweek to ski. Friendly staff, convenient location, very fair prices
This is a small resort but some of the runs make the most of the mountain and both Ridge Runner and sidewinder are great fun long runs. This has a broad range of slopes, some of the black diamonds have very challenging sections. The bar/restaurant area was excellent, a good range of beers and decent food, the chili was excellent. The rental staff were friendly and really helpful. The whole process was incredibly efficient, the best organised ski rental shop Ive experienced. A great ski area and I hope to return soon.
Nice skiing. Kids loved it. Good food and drinks. Good equipment
I took my fam out there for the first time. We had lots of fun..took a skiing class and a class for snowboarding. The instructors are fun and very professional. The slopes were exhilarating. They have a food court area, where you can eat, drink and relax for a while. They have a wonderful medical team on the site. They provide Helmets, Ski boots, Ski, Snowboarding boots, and Snowboard or you can bring your own. Fun for All ages.
