Fishin hole and portrait photographers ideal backdrop for senior photos, family group portraits and engagement pictures. Cattail ponds, tall grass fields and massive cottonwood trees draw photographers and their subjects to this small park for remarkable settings across the property. It actually got busy with photographers waiting their turn for the wooden foot bridge, the fallen logs and reflective ponds. From the number of people lining the shore, the fishing was pretty good too!

I spent my young adult years on this property, the white ranch house that stands at the edge of the parking area was my grandparents home for 30 years. I lived in a home that once stood at the edge of a smaller pond just down the hill from the big white house. I am so thankful that the park and walking paths will bring new memories to so many families that will enjoy fishing in the pond or taking family photos with the fall leaves in the backdrop. If you are in the area stop by and enjoy a leisurely walk. The Highlands Ranch Parks department has taken great effort to make this an accessible and enjoyable place for all!

Its a small park, but it is beautiful to walk around and it connects with the Highline. If you need pictures taken at sunset this place is gorgeous. Only issue was that there were four other groups getting photos at the same time.

Beautiful pond in the city. There was a photographer doing senior pictures when I was there. Great location for this. There is fishing available I the pond as well as the nearby stream. Some hiking trails run through. Very nice and serene place. Ill definitely be taking my family there in the very near future.

Pretty little park beside the high line canal with a bass pond that drains into two smaller ponds. Two docks to fish from, amenities and a nice little hanging bridge that crosses the small creek.

Great place to bring kids to fish or just take a nice easy walk.

Beware of garbage parking if you drive anything larger than a midsized car.

Several years ago the metro district spent $400K to restore this so called historic house. Since then it has just sat empty, broken windows from vandals, no stairs to the porch, deteriorating from weather. Doesnt seem to be any further plan for it. What a waste. The rest of the park is nice though, and its on the Highline Canal.

Ive been there twice now and only caught baby catfish,

Im going to have kids just so I can take them fishing here. (Jk) its great. Good luck not getting a hit at the pond with worms. If you arent here too be fishing, its very scenic, peaceful, and relaxing. A fantastic get-away for that when that day off finally comes around.

The only spot to see now spring baby and fishing for young people and its only 1500 from what I found me and only me dinosaur fossils

Great place to get together and relax!

Normally fairly busy but cutting up worms in smaller pieces works amazing. Caught 20 fish in 90 minutes all fairly small but at least you catch a good amount

Quaint and beautiful

This park is a hidden gem and its absolutely beautiful this time of year. We did family photos there, and while the photographer sucked, the park was a great backdrop.

Not sure about how big the park its but doesnt look like there is a play ground here. More like an outdoor recreation area. Met a photographer here for family pictures. Seems like a lot of people were doing the same. Id say its a nice place for a walk after earning at Nonos across the street.

Little park, but great scenery. Come in early Autumn to enjoy the leaves and take pictures, or in the summer to enjoy a some fishing at the pond. I wish they would maintain the historical little white house thats on premise.

Great place to take a break along the High Line Canal Trail. Has clean bathrooms, water fountain and shaded area to rest.

First of all people need to pick up after themselves, second the pond water was full of trash and the grass at bottom was way thick. I think Highlands Ranch parks and trails need to there job to keep this pond clean enough to fish for the young people trying to learn how to fish !! The pond stink like dead fish it was bad ! Will never fish their again !! Please get it cleaned up thanks !

We did our family pictures here in mid November. There were lots of areas for photo ops. Im sure the other seasons would be great as well just in different ways. We walked around a bit for pics but didnt really take advantage of anything else.

Great place to take pictures at for school, work, etc. Fish here are pretty darn large, the biggest i caught here was a 10 Lb catfish, and a 30 lb carp. Hope yall have a fun time at the b!

Cool little area to visit

Great place to bring kids for catch and release fishing. The fish are very small but active. The park itself is pleasant and well maintained, with limited parking which I consider a plus as to keep it from being overrun with guests.

A great cozy park on the highline trail

This a beautiful pond surrounded by trees yet also boasting a view of the mountains. We bring our kids here to fish and ALWAYS have great success, although the fish are VERY SMALL! We also recommend the Flyn B Park for photography, especially in the fall with the changing leaves!

Great place for photos.

Beautiful park with many old trees, breaks away from the traditional Highlands Ranch park design by having a dirt trail and many trees rather than a playground and an open field. There is a pond and covered eating area with grills. Bugs do come out in the evening, so bring some spray if you plan on staying late.

Fun little park tucked away on the NW side of Highlands Ranch. This small park is scenic and has a little fish pond and several trails meandering through it. It is popular for photographers and family picture sessions as well as folks parking here to hit the highline canal for a run or hike.

We found this gem in the rough! Beautiful wooded trails, fishing pond. Love to come here to walk our dog. I see a lot of family photograpgers.

While this park has the fishing pond and the lovely old building, I think the most interesting thing is the old apple orchards! We were on a mission, but it would be interesting trying to identify the different types of apples.
