The Hershey Lodge is a beautiful chocolate centric hotel that is beautifully designed inside. Upon check-in, you receive chocolate bars, and the staff is always pleasant and willing to help. We have stayed here over a dozen times over the past twenty years. The reason I cant give it a five star is almost every visit reservation; we run into an issue regarding an accidental charge on our account. For example our recent visit we were charged twice for park tickets. It is always resolved, but it is a nuisance to wait to make sure the credit is applied back to my card. The issue that I have is they charge your card prior to checkout so you dont have a way to correct the billing prior to being billed and the card is charged. We also ordered a custom cake for a dinner reservation which was not made and was instead replaced with a basic complimentary cake. We do love the lodge so we always return even though we run into these issues. The lodge also is nicely decorated for the holidays and also is a great place to spend New Years if you can actually get in a reservation to their party celebration. Overall I would highly recommend this location, but make sure to check your bill twice.

I love walking into all the holiday decor. The indoor water park is well worth the trip for young ones and a hot tubb to relax in.. no mask when in the pool or water slides and while eating at the pool area. I will be back.

Amazing Hotel!!The lobby was very elegant and clean. They also had nice little refreshments that you could drink like cucumber water and lemon water. The gift shop was of course amazing! There was so much cool Hershey stuff in there. When you walk in they give you full-size Hershey bars per person. The rooms were a little boring and outdated, but usually you would go there to just stay somewhere for the parks. The indoor water park at the hotel is really cool and amazing there is so much stuff to do in there. Also, if its raining you can still go because its indoor which was so cool. They do have an outdoor pool but was a little boring and nobody was in there and no lifeguard. Overall I would say that this is a good hotel for people that have kids. So, I would definitely recommend for families.

Love the lodge so much to do here for everyone truly is the Sweetest place on earth would recommend anyone with children to stay here ! I cant wait to visit again!

Loved it. It was a rainy day outside so not much to do around with two kids who have endless energy. So the Water Works saved us a lot... Complimentary tickets to The Hershey Story Museum also is a great bang for the buck. Would absolutely come back...

Had a fun time, they had Hershey themed sheets, wallpaper and shampoo! Its a pretty big property. The walls seem a little thin, we actually had them move us to a quieter section as our neighbors decided to blast their music and be very rowdy into the night. The new room was much better! Overall a great time!

I have been staying at the Hershey Lodge for a long weekend yearly for the past 20+ years. I choose this place because its excellent. I love the friendly staff, the cleanliness throughout and the overall experience. Thank you for making my stay here memorable year after year.

We booked 2 nights. Our room was perfect! So clean and pretty much baby proofed! We had our 1year old so we were a little nervous. Loved the fact that you could walk anywhere. You never need to leave the property (unless going to the amusement park). The inside pool was so much fun. We loved all the food. Customer service was exceptional! We will 100% go back. This was our first family vacation and loved every minute! So happy with how clean everything was! Thank you for providing our family with so much fun!

Took our son for the weekend. All extremely clean. All very friendly and responsive. As a result of Covid house keeping does not clean or fix your bed every night. But they were extremely responsive on all room amenities we called on. I recommend going and having you will have a great time.

Extremely clean as always. Kids love staying here and the new water park for the hotel guests only was a really great addition included in the room price. Worked out well on the days we got rained in.

It was okay, nothing special. Waterworks was entertaining enough for the kids, but Im not sure I would stay there again.

Rooms are tight but that was expected considering the accommodations that came with our package. They did not have a self service laundry room which was odd considering they have a pool on premises. I wouldnt want people throwing wet towels and swim clothes everywhere in a carpeted room, but what do I know. They did however recommended a public laundromat a mile away. All in all, I would stay here again, I would upgrade my room and plan with a private party for laundry services. My kids loved it and my husband and I had a great time with our boys!

I come here every year in September for the Groom Expo. Lodge is huge. Lots of parking but you wanna get here early cause parking fills up fast. The rooms that the seminars are held in are very large and clean. Bathrooms are also kept very clean and they are spacious. There are a few places to eat while youre here which is nice so you dont have to leave the lodge. The Bears Den is my favorite. Food is always good. And theres a nice restaurant outside next to the lodge that offers indoor as well as outside dining. Thats my second favorite place. Food is also very good here.

I stayed at the Hershey Lodge in August to celebrate my sons birthday. It was the 1st time we stayed at this hotel. The hotel has a nice rustic feel to it. When you walk into the lobby you actually smell chocolate. The check in process was simple and quick. We received Hershey chocolate bars for everyone in my family. I really liked that. The room we were given original we had to change. The reason was it was so far from everything and I have a 2 year that I dont want to have to carry up and down the stairs every time we had to leave. So the room that we got switched to was perfect. It was close to the lobby, close to where we parked the car and a short drive over to the water works area. The only issue I had was that people would smoke in front of our window and the smell of cigarettes would come through the vent from the air conditioning. We had to go out several times to ask people to move away from our window. So i just wished that they had a designated area for people that smoke. Also since we booked a package (room and tickets), we got to go into Hershey Park an hour early plus free parking. That was nice to beat the crowd. I would definitely go back.

Me and my family are still here as I write this. WOW WOW WOW very beautiful place. The architect and landscape is like Paradise. Hershey Park Wow, Hershey lodge Wow, Hershey World Wow, Hershey museum great, and the Hershey garden is beautiful. I never wanna leave. This is a fairy tale.

I want to love this place but I cant..For starters there customer service when booking was not great, their site was not working so they gave me a credit which was nice but also their fault.Check in was smooth, I get in the room and clearly it was not cleaned properly which is not cool given covid. They gave me a credit but still I slept in a room with my kids in a room they did not clean properly.Lastly I ordered room service and they forgot important items like salad dressing for the salad, dipping sauce for the chicken fingers i called and they called back as if i was lying.*****So enter at your own risk****

Really the only way I will ever do Hershey Park again. Everything smells like Chocolate its so great. The shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Sooo splendid. The dining experience was done perfectly with social distancing. Just a few minutes to drive to the park from there.

Awesome small waterpark and hot tub area! Room was small but clean & comfortable. No microwave but who cares! Get the package with access to the Hershey Garden and the Hershey Museum. Great value!

Our 3 night stay at the lodge included daily breakfast at any of their restaurants. The room was very comfortable. People were nice and the kids enjoyed Water Works each day.

Ok so first let me say I stayed at hotel Hershey a week before checking in here. Our trip was for the kids to have some fun. We have been in quarantine since March. I wanted them to just unwind and have fun. I’m going to break this review down to value to amenities, water park and room.So first value to amenities. With a reservation you get access to the waterworks area, outdoor pool, mini golf, arcade, and resort sponsored kid activities like bingo and scavenger hunt. We booked the stay swim and splash package which included arcade $$$ (88 credits) 2 towels and free kids meals at the cocoa cabana. The total cost of the package was around $200. For the value to amenities ratio I would rate a 5/5. We saved about $50 with the package so really the value was great. The mini golf is nothing really spectacular but it’s a fun activity. I’m surprised it wasn’t more Hershey themed. The attendant did wipe down the clubs before handing them to us. Recommendation for the mini golf is to have the holes not be so deep to minimize lots of hands in one area. I know other resorts put lids on or something to avoid touching where the balls fall. The arcade is another area where additional sanitary measures are lacking. I would recommend finding in the budget money for staff to clean machines between use. I am not sure if there are hand sanitizing stations in the arcade. If there are I did not see them. Overall the arcade was nice, kids had fun. I like there were games that were play until you win. Makes it nice for younger kids. I cannot review the outdoor pool but there is an outdoor splash pad next to the waterpark that is nice. We did attend bingo. That was so much fun! Both kids I took won prizes. There was candy on the table which was a nice treat. Hershey candy of course. :). The gift store Memories is right near where the activities are held and that is a nice store. That is where i redeemed the free towel coupons. I have 3 kids but only go 2 towels. I’m fine with that since the package did only say 2 towels.Next: The main attraction... waterpark. When you enter the waterpark you are greeted by someone handing out towels. **Note that you can’t take the towels back to the room with you. ** so best bring your own. You then pick out a spot. On the chairs they have a flip sign which after you leave you flip so they know to clean that area. This is a bit different from Hershey hotel. I would recommend the hotel way instead: they pick an area for you to sit and make sure you are distanced from others. I can understand where it would be harder since it’s an indoor pool but that’s where capacity limits come into play. Anyway the pool is setup in 5 different areas. 1.)area for toddlers, a zero entry pool that leads to I believe 2 feet. 2.)A splash ship area where there are little slides for kids. 3.)A deeper pool that I want to say goes to 4 feet 6 inches. 4.) A leap pad challenge area. 5.) Two water slides that you have to be a minimum height to ride. Pictured below. The water park for me is a 10/5. It’s that much fun. We spent hours and hours in here. Great place. Went on August 13th, 2020. Everyone was respecting social distancing and wearing masks. The service was great. Everyone was so nice. Only gripe was my bed but my kids slept great so I will look past it. The amount of parking was a plus all around. Rooms were clean. The lodge just makes you feel right at home. Will be back.

I loved this place and Id give it 5 stars had it not been labeled a conference center and then had a slower upload and download speed than dial up. But if thats something that doesnt concern you then this place is perfect. Everything else was without error

Requested sheets and towels... Waited 2 hours. Didnt receive them till the next morning after I called again. No room service???Breakfast at the Hershey Grill was good..waitress disappeared.... Served other people before us, after I brought it to the servers attention.... We were seated.Overall it was good!

We visited this during the virus. Thongs were different however I believe when things are normal this is one of the best resorts in the area. If not the best! Great for kids! Great location! Tons of amenities! Just DO IT

Nice place to stay if your here for the park. Lots of things to do including mini golf, tennis, basketball, an arcade and a small indoor water park. Plus free transportation to Hersheypark!!Four full service restaurants and two quick service locations. Food is good and prices are as expected. Approx $10/pp for quick service and $18/pp for full service.Our room was basic with 2 queen beds, small desk, mini fridge, and smart TV. Ample outlets for all your electronic needs!! Some rooms have indoor hallways and some are motel entrances. You can hear EVERYTHING from outside the rooms.

Always love hershey lodge. Bummer is they changed the restaurant over to more contemporary. We liked the old feel of Lebbies.

To say this place is amazing is an understatement. It was our daughters first family vacation to celebrate her birthday and it could not have went better. Staff was incredible grounds were pristine shuttle service was prompt and friendly and food was great. We will definitely be back

Really nice hotel with lots of fun stuff. The layout is like a university dorms with indoor pool, outdoor pool, mini golf, and many others. The rooms are pretty clean and nice. But its a little bit far from the Hershey Park compared with other resorts.

This was first and last visit as I felt my daughter has out grown this type of facility. This is a much smaller water park than we expected. I believe 10 and younger appropriate age group. I wasnt impressed with the sanitation around the grounds of the lodge either.

Rooms are very pricy. Our room was not appropriately cleaned when we arrived. Room service did not pick up the phone when we needed help.Water park within the hotel and minigolf were great and staff was friendly.

Heres the thing, were here right now, Covid precautions are everywhere and everyone seems to be doing their part. As such, capacity in the restaurants is down. I recommend making meal reservations a day in advance. We are staying in an upgraded queen suite and the bedding is awesome. The pull out couch is very comfortable according to my 10yo daughter. Dont expect a huge water area for the kiddos, though. Its nothing like Great Wolf Lodge.

Went there for the Mid Penn Bank breast cancer fundraiser, which was a lot of fun. The food and service was amazing. The venue was set up elegantly. Obviously it was only for that event but there were many famous NFL players there.My one complaint is how large and confusing the whole complex is. You literally need a map to find your way around

The rate was good. The room was clean and it looked fun for kids. The building is dated. It needs upgrading. The pool is very small outside. This where I think they need to focus on. The pool is on the side of building. It is so small for a resort so huge. The water works is fun for the kids. As a couple, I think Hotel Hershey would have been better!

I havent been to the lodge since August of 2019, and I cannot wait to go back in 2021. Since 2009, my family has been going to Hershey. The Lodge is such a great place for vacations, whether it be for a couple, a small family, or in my case, two parents and their children and grandchildren. The staff here are so kind, the atmosphere is welcoming, it has amazing decoration, and the food is delicious. When I pull into the driveway of this place, I always start to tear up. My childhood rests in the Lodge. Thank you for keeping this place magical.

First off you advertise kids eat free (they do not eat) unless an adult meal is bought. It was very expensive and than we ordered room service said we wouldpay cash and she made my mother in law still sign a slip we handed her 50 for the food and 5 as a tip and than we were charged to our room credit card and bow we have had to call back TWO TIMES because we didnt get a call back, and its been nothing but an issue jumping through hoops. And now were paying told there are no managers, and we have to wait till Monday to hear anything . You have employees stealing for customers and we want our money back. NEVER PAY CASH HERE CAUSE YOU WILL GET ROBBED

We were there for the Family Life Weekend to Remember marriage enrichment event. The event was simply AMAZING and the lodge was the perfect place to have it. Hershey Lodge is so warm and inviting. The bed was without question the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in in any hotel ever. Maybe even the most comfortable period. All that being said we were very disappointed when we first arrived with 5 bags and were told we had to park in a parking lot some 200 yards from the entrance. When I asked if we could pull up to the doors to unload our bags then park I was told no, he said only if you pay for bag service or valet parking. Maybe that is only due to the fact that there was this huge conference going on. Another thing we werent pleased with was the fact that there was nothing offered in terms of a Continental breakfast. At $125 a night I would expect a little something for breakfast. Again, maybe they usually do but I dont think so. They have several places to eat built right into the hotel which is awesome but I think thats why they dont offer a free breakfast so that way you have to buy food at their restaurants. Other than that we loved it and will definitely go again!

I was expecting more for the money we paid. We booked two rooms one with double beds, one king size. Both rooms were very basic and outdated. Nothing special at all. In one room the toilet kept getting clogged. We called maintainence the first time and it wasnt fix correctly. The second night we called again and I decided to complained which I usually dont do but i felt the need of saying something since we spend so much money. The solution I was giving by the front desk was come the next morning and change rooms. I didnt want to do that since we were already settled in that room.

One of the best family resorts weve been to. You can spend the entire day at the lodge without having to leave. Package deal includes park tickets and other attractions. Miniature golf, basketball court, indoor and outdoor pool on site. Along with a number of restaurants.

Hershey lodge was ok. They didnt share with us about the children check in and the wonderful experience it offered for them. We over heard on our last day. Also with the less capacity for indoor dining you were not allowed to make call in reservations or make them the night before. You had to make them the day of in person. The wait time was 1hr or more. Imagine dealing with hungry kids. Dining process needs some work.

My wife and I were there for the Weekend to Remember conference. This place is huge! We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were plentiful and very helpful. The hotel decor was very nice. We enjoyed our time.The only issue that we had was when we want to go out for a meal off campus, and another 1000 people had the same idea, it took a long time. Now, if the lodge could figure that one out, I could give them a 5 star rating.

Home away from home. Clean, spacious rooms, kind and friendly staff, and sweet touches. Beds are very comfortable, and halls are quiet. Dont go anywhere without a hotel map! Halls can be confusing. They do have maps and signage in the halls as well.

Very comfortable stay. The rooms as nice as they are could do with an ipdate. They have some nice places to eat here in the lodge. The waterworks pool area. Check in was quick. They seem to be holding to the covid-19 standards. Everyone is wearing a mask and no daily cleaning unless you need something. I do love staying here.

I was so excited to go to the Hershey Lodge and was so disappointed when we arrived. We checked in and that was fine, we had requested a quiet area of the hotel, instead they put in an area with a lot of screaming children. The room online looked huge, when we got there it was teeny and musty smelling. It was a huge disappointment the door to outside actually had a creak so creepy crawling things could get in your room at night. I feel for what I paid it was seriously overcharged.

The perfect place when I am traveling for business or spending time at Hershey Park. The central fire place is a great place to relax after a day at the park or busy meeting schedule. If this is your first trip to Hershey Lodge, the map that comes with your room keys will come in very handy as this place is huge. Its just a few minutes to the PA Turnpike and I 83. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Last thing, the staff, the entire staff, absolutely the best.

So big it was hard to know which entrance to go in, but once in the space was really big, it looked classic and elegant, but not dated. We enjoyed our event and the food was buffet style but absolutely amazing! Everything was cooked and seasoned well, it was nice and hot. The dessert was to die for! The staff were very friendly, professional and did a great job. Highly reccomend hosting and attending events here.

I liked Hershey Lodge. The room was very nice but it didnt have a microwave. There was a water park and it sold food and drinks.Hershey park is only ten minutes away.

Overall the experience was good, but the details leave much toi be desired for the price. The lodge is huge, but common spaces do not accommodate large numbers. It seems it would be nice at half occupancy so that you dont have to stand to eat at the waterworks. In addition, signage could be better. Its like a giant maze, not the fun kind. Would I go back?......maybe, chocolate is hard to resist.

The Hershey Lodge is one of the best places to stay for families, especially for those who are going to be going to Hersheypark! They have a lot of free resort benefits, including access to Waterworks, their own exclusive indoor water park. Only guests at the Lodge can go into Waterworks. You can also get special pricing on Hersheypark tickets, free admission to the Hershey Gardens, and free admission to the Hershey Story. Its also so convenient to be able to ride the shuttle over to the park and then back to the Lodge. My kids loved staying here!

I loved this hotel!!! The lodge was beautiful, and the restraints were amazing. The kids really enjoyed the water park and the game room. The rooms were spacious and clean, and check in was very easy! Will be returning!!

The covid 19 guide lines destroyed our experience. If I would have know there would be a 25 % capacity at the on site water works but all the room rentals are not set at any capacity, you cant even get in the water park I would not have stayed here. Information and communication was terrible.

The mattresses in the rooms are ROCK HARD and are very uncomfortable to sleep on. I had a back ache every morning. For the room price they should have very comfortable beds at the least! I had a better room for $75 a night a few miles from the lodge (Knights Inn)

During covid, no maid service. Kind of like the idea of a room cleaning and bed made while Im out. Dont understand why this is not allowed during this health pandemic.

I have some mixed reviews on this place for sure. Check-in took about 25 mins due to the line, the staff are friendly, parking can be tough. The rooms, while they are clean, they need some attention. My room had a weird musty smell, not sure if the a/c unit needed clean or with the place being so old, maybe the carpet needed scrubbed. I am not sure if I would stay here again due to this mixed review. There are definitely other hotels, even chain ones in the area that provide a better experience especially for the money that you pay($190+) a night. Bathroom are really outdated and most rooms are set up weirdly.

Love the Hershey Lodge! I have only been here for conferences, but it is second to none when it comes to hosting these. They have a few good restaurants, with the Bears Den being the best of them. Always enjoy my time here. Great setting and friendly staff. They now have a newly remodeled water park thing for the family.

We had a great time and would stay again!The room and the bathroom were sort of small, not uncomfortable though. The TV remote didnt work when we got there and it took a long time for them to bring another. There was no microwave in the room and while staff were very helpful it was a hassle to use one. There were no extra rolls of toilet paper, though we were easily able to get one from housekeeping.The floors needed to be vacuumed, or vacuumed better. The floor in the room was bad around the edges and the hallways, which I think had new carpet, had lots of balls of fuzz.It was a long walk from our room, in Cocoa, to the Water Works but it was worth it. We have two girls, 7 and 9, and they loved it! There are two large twisting water slides that are fun for adults and kids. The pools are definitely geared towards kids but theres a nice sized hot tub too. The pool has different areas for all ages of kids with water spraying out in different places and lots of things to do. You can but food in the pool area too. Its more of a mini water park than a pool. There were tons of people there. It was almost too full and impossible to find chairs for all of us.Hershey is a great place to stay with lots of places to eat and things to do! The Hershey Lodge is in a great location!

Great FAMILY resort (5 stars) with plenty of kids activities. If you dont have kids, be prepared for A LOT of kids (3 stars). Its a large, historic, well maintained complex, beautifully landscaped. Its close to many Hershey and other area attractions.

Drove in for the day. Used to love the Lodge. The first thing that hit me was the grounds, dead grass, weeds, no mulch. Went into the Bears Den, very limited menu and staff. Very disappointing!!!! Glad I am not staying this time.

My wife and I got a weekend away, just the two of us. The room was nice, and quiet! The hotel was great lots of places to spend time together. It is much more of a family place, there were lots of kids present, I think it was to visit the Hershey attractions. Overall it was a great trip and we enjoyed our stay.
