Hermiston Butte

The Butte is a nice landmark in the Hermiston area. There are numerous crisscrossing biking and hiking trails. I was able to find a way to the top with my cane and a bad hip without even going the easiest way. Not something I would do every day, but I enjoyed it. Its obviously a popular place with the local teenagers, but not really too messy. Once at the top, theres a nice 360 degree view of the surrounding area. At the base, there is a community pool and a nice park with a great community built play area. On our first visit, there was a couple with a good sized dog, a black lab if I remember correctly, that was having a ball climbing up and sliding down the tall slide. The aquatic park has a lap pool and a good sized main pool with a lazy river and a water slide. A wonderful place on a hot Hermiville summer day.
